  1. Correction: you are the one who starts to flirt with Pierce and asks him to go to bed with you. XD

But of course, that wouldn't stop him to brag about it to others. :p

True. :p But, if you go from Quinn's letter, which implies that there's been previous incidents of Pierce trying to wedge his way between Quinn and the romanced female warrior... and a lot of Pierce's idle lines sound like flirting when taken out of context (or are they?)... well. XD

Edit: Previous. Not precious. There is nothing precious about Pierce. Perish the thought. Please.

  2. I always thought that one of the reasons Pierce was interested was because he wanted to have the bragging rights to his spec ops buddies about bagging a smoking hot sith lord....then go into way to much detail and over exaggerations about the encounter.....the jerk totally would too

You know he would. .-. He seems like that kind of guy. Ew.

Quinn: *silently hands over a giant bottle of brain bleach*

  3. That's right! One of the reasons it's worth being a Sith. :D You can date any sexy Imperial soldier you want. ;):p

Quinn: Pierce said as much. I refuse to believe him. It's obvious it was a calculated attempt to drive my wife and I apart. It. Didn't. Work.

And that was where the theory of "Pierce has always had a crush on the female Warrior" came from.

Quinn: If it were up to me, HE'D be the one in prison. I'm sure I could think of a suitable excuse. :)

    ...devious!Quinn. That's a little scary.

  4. Haha, I like this version. :D

She blushes, thinking how hot he is, and winks at Quinn.

Quinn then thinks: "Oh, not again." He is either "harassed" by the ladies who are attracted to him, or gets screwed up by his idiotic superiors.

Quinn: I--my lord--I would never--! *controlled frenzy of righteous indignation*

She's a Sith, Quinn. Sith. What you want is irrelevant in the face of control freaks like (some) Sith.

Quinn: I am very aware of that, sir. What I mean to say is that I would never give in to her advances, romantic or otherwise. Ever. My devotion is to [warrior]. My wife.

    ...she's still a Sith.

    Quinn: Your point is?

Sith. Does what she wants. Ignores your advice. Told you to stand around and look pretty; that's the only reason she instated you as an advisor.

    Quinn:

  5. I wonder...

I usually customise my comps, so I checked out other looks for Vector, but to be honest only the original looks good with these eyes. Well, there's one with the same face but different haircut, so I use that one.

    http://imgur.com/kOeBh8G

How 'bout ya? Default Vector or customised?

I was about to chime in with "default"... when I got interrupted by, of all things, a bug. To be specific, what appeared to be a flying ant.

Apparently it was a distant relative of the killiks... :p

Vector: We apologize. The fingerlings wished to know what your answer would be.

    ...um...I killed it...on accident...

    Vector: ...

    ...I'M SO SORRY!

    Vector: :(

Fellow lovebugs? Help me out here? D:

Anyway; I like the way default Vector looks. I can't quite reconcile that voice with any other appearance; there are some companions that I can (Kaliyo, Khem Val, Qyzen Fess, Mako), but for most companions I just stick with the default. Those appearances get stuck in my head as "this voice belongs to this character." Same reason why I have a hard time creating duplicates of any class that are the same gender - managed to do it for the male knight (my mom and I play this game together sometimes, so we created a knight to go through his story and all the expansions; I already had a twi'lek knight, but this new guy is a cathar). It just took me a while to get used to it.

  6. As recently as 5.0, I also really like the new animation for Blade Barrage and Bushwack as well.

Bushwhack! Ah, can't believe I forgot that one. :D I often use it even when I have no real reason to, when I'm solo'ing quests or whatnot... it's just so bizarre. I can imagine my scoundrel laughing maniacally while everybody else scrambles to get out of the way of the GIANT SHARP WHIRLING RAZORBLADES that are busy chopping their feet off. While yelling, "Dude, I'm still trying to figure out where you store that gigantic shotgun - WHERE'RE YOU KEEPING THE RAZOR BLADES!?"

Oh, and Force Push. Nothing says "I am so done with you" than nonchalantly Force-blasting an enemy off a really tall cliff.

  7. I feel the same way. He's already shown that he''ll choose his wife over the Empire. Maybe she had a strategy in choosing the Republic in that moment that would work out for the good of everyone. The Quinn who went to prison for his wife would have trusted her and resigned to Acina right there over holo. He's technically spent the last 7 years proving his love and loyalty to his wife, why would he throw it all away in that instant?

Because the writers wanted to give people an excuse to kill him, and saying "He betrayed me once, over nine years ago in-story time," makes Sith Warriors look unbelievably petty? :/

    I have no idea.

  8. Vigilant Thrust for the Vigilance Guardian. The visuals of that... whirling around and stabbing your lightsaber deep into the ground while a fiery burst of energy explodes outwards - I can't help but grin every time my knight does that.

Blade Dance - the old version. I so wish that had not been taken away... :( I loved the way the knight almost looked like they were dancing. The ability was well-named (or well re-named, I guess).

Reaping Strike for the Deception Assassin. My inquisitor just looks so...lethally graceful, I guess? Can't think of a better term for it. XD Actually, most of the moveset of the Deception Assassin. Ball Lightning looks AWESOME.

Ah yes - DEATH FROM ABOVE! Cannot ever ever EVER forget that one!

And... Dirty Kick. :p I wish that hadn't been taken away from gunslingers. It was hilarious to see my gunslinger, this tiny scamp of a girl, Dirty Kicking her way past enemies - even if, mechanics-wise, they weren't affected by it. Dirty Kick Darth Malgus! Dirty Kick Colonel Darok and Darth Arkous! Dirty Kick DARTH FLIPPIN' REVAN! Arcann! Vaylin! VALKORION!! BECAUSE WHY NOT!? :D

  9. Begeren Colony's pretty good. Less populated than Ebon Hawk - and a tad less friendly - but still decent.

If you're on Ebon Hawk, though, you don't *need* to RP. I'm there, and I have yet to get into RP'ing (mostly because I'm shy :o). The server itself doesn't revolve around RP; you can still do flashpoints, Operations, warzones, class stories, Heroics, etc. without RP'ing at all.

  10. This is a common bug, introduced since 5.2 with the new galaxy map. I'll quote what I said on a separate thread about this...

Yes, this IS a known bug, and there is a workaround.

    1) Travel to another random planet. Doesn't seem to matter which one.

    2) Go back to Belsavis*. Make sure that it is BELSAVIS that is selected on the planet selection screen - there is another area on Belsavis that's chosen by default, called Section X. It's really easy to mix up the two, as the distinction between them is not easily seen. That's what's tripping people up - Section X is automatically chosen as the destination, and it's not very easy to see that at first.

    3) Make sure, of course, that you're using your ship, not the galaxy map quick-travel option.

*You'll run into a similar situation on Corellia, near the end of your class stories. The Black Hole on Corellia is automatically selected, not Corellia proper. Make sure you've actually selected Corellia, not The Black Hole (a daily area, similar to Section X's purpose).

  11. I agree killing either Aric or Kaliyo there is just to hard to do...even on my most dark side characters I don't kill either of them...I just cannot bring myself to do it.

And yet just exiling her is so completely unsatisfactory. .-. My knight did that because I couldn't bring myself to yell at both Jorgan and Kaliyo. Why are the only options "I'm so glad BOTH OF YOU made it back safely!" "Jorgan, you're at fault, you idiot" and "YOU USELESS INCOMPETENTS BOTH OF YOU RAAAAAARGH"? Oi vey.

  12. The Apeiron thing is just one of tons of superambitious mods that have no chance ever being finished. Modelling few shiny assets and importing them into UDK is a cool excercise and certainly nice thing to put into CV as a young 3D artist, but making a functional game on top of that is a whole different thing.

Not even talking about obvious legal issues in case of such a project.

They're not overhauling *anything* except the graphics. That's all they're updating (and, I think, restoring some cut content that's already in the game files). They're not making any new dialogue, any new changes to the story except for that cut content (and those already have mods in place that are perfectly legal), or changing any game mechanics like combat, controls, etc. They're just updating the graphics. They're also doing it completely for free, not even accepting donations, and are not going to sell the mod in any way.

    How's that illegal? o.o

  13. Just to clear it up - the sixty-day one-time purchase does *not* renew at the end of the sixty days. The e-mail they send is a tad inaccurate; I got the same e-mail when I started subscribing. I've never used any recurring subscription plan, just the sixty-day purchase, "renewed" every two months (manually, by me, and there have been times when it has run out because I did not renew it).
  14. Yes, she does. I watched my friend take his Elara romanced trooper through and all I could think was, "Ouch!".

    Yeesh... :(

On the subject of Kaliyo - my warrior killed her, and probably so will everybody save the consular and possibly the knight that I take through there. I'll just have to close my eyes. Because...something about that scene was absolutely, beyond the pail, disturbing. I hate Kaliyo and have wanted the opportunity to kill her since the moment my agent met her; I never felt sorry for her, no sympathy; she deserved her death and then some - but sheesh. That was just nightmarish.

  15. The Shae Vizla style has the same lose half the hair when you use an attack, issue other styles have. Some nice styles that are ruined by that.

Does the Shae Vizla hair constantly clip through the character's head? I know the "shaggy" style tends to do that, but I haven't seen it so much on Vizla's hair - at least, with the NPC's (Tora and Vizla herself) who have that hair. What about PC's?

  16. Would you consider it beneficial to move my "main" characters over to one of these servers? If so which is better in your opinion? Lastly if I were to get a character transfer to token and use it to move to one of these servers, it doesn't really affect your progressing its just moving your character right?

I'd recommend it, if you want to find more items on the GTN, have an easier time grouping with others to do flashpoints/Heroics/Operations/warzones/and whatnot.

Ebon Hawk is one of the most populated servers - Harbinger's *the* most populated, but it's known to have an incredibly toxic community. Ebon Hawk, save for a few trolls on Dromund Kaas general chat (seems you can't avoid those anywhere you go ), is overall very friendly.

Not sure what you mean by "get a character transfer to token"? Do you mean use one of the level 60/65 boosts and transfer that character?

As for transferring in general, no, it doesn't affect your progress in the story, levels, etc. There are things that do not transfer with you, however: mail in your inbox (be sure to get everything out of your mailbox that you want to take with you); legacy storage; and... I want to say strongholds, but oddly, I transferred one character who unlocked most of her stronghold with credits to another server - and that stronghold was *still unlocked* on the new server. I didn't have to do anything to unlock it again. It was weird. So I'm not sure what's up with strongholds; perhaps it's just that the decorations within don't transfer...?

  17. Prophecy of the Five is one of the "dead" servers. I'm mostly on Ebon Hawk and Begeren Colony, and both are nicely populated and have tons of items of all levels on the GTN (and Ebon Hawk has, overall, a very friendly and welcoming community).
  18. Really? I did not know that! Seems they messed up with almost everyone's romance returns. Guess whoever wrote that really didn't play the class stories.

When she first meets then, she pulls the gun on them while exclaiming angrily there is "no d*mn way" the agent can possibly be alive. It's exactly the same as with a female agent. (Except the male agent, when asked by Theron if he knows Kaliyo, says in a very soft and almost sad tone, "She was my wife." Ouch.)

...then again, it's Kaliyo. AKA the only love interest who actually "moved on" after their spouse went missing.

  19. It seemed completely out of character for her when I did this on my trooper. I was really tempted to side with the Empire but I need Elara for crafting and I wanted to see what happens with Quinn at the end.

What about romanced male troopers? Does she greet them with THAT level of hostility, too? Because if so... yeesh. Think that's up there with Kaliyo pulling a gun on the romanced male agent. :p

  20. Hey, welcome back! :D

-The star fortress missions involve some really vague directions to "resolve conflicts" and find "alliance supply crates." What does any of this mean? All I know is that I have to bring some things to some people until their influence hits 10, but I don't know where I can resolve conflicts or get supply crates. Does this just mean doing heroic missions or something?

Yes, do Heroic quests. You can talk to the Star Fortress contact (Veeroa Denz on Nar Shaddaa; Chozaa Raabat on Alderaan; Hemdil Tre on Hoth; K'krohl on Belsavis; Rokuss on Voss; "Deadeye" Leyta on Tatooine) and get a random Heroic mission from them - you need four or five, I believe. You'll get supply crates from doing those Heroic missions. Once you have the supply crates, talk to the Star Fortress contact again to turn them in.

From there, here's a more complete guide to the Star Fortresses.

-What types of creatures should I be looking for to increase influence with Qyzen Fess? I know the Heroic World Bosses do the trick, but gathering a group for those is kind of a pain sometimes.

World Bosses, yes, and there are also creatures scattered about Hoth called "Worthy Jagganath Targets." Here's a map (scroll down just a bit).

-Where can I find the materials I need to increase influence with Eckard Lokin? Should I just go kill Rakghouls on Taris or do they come from flashpoints or something?

The materials come from the Bioanalysis crew skill. You can find them selling in stacks on the GTN. They shouldn't be *too* ridiculously expensive... If you don't want to spend the money, pick up the Bioanalysis crew skill yourself and head to Yavin IV, and spend a while farming the gathering nodes you find there. It took me a few hours to do so, but I had to level Bioanalysis from zero - got it to the highest level it could go in a few hours from farming everything there about five times over. :p

-And this question is more strategy-focused: I tried my hand at the arena battles. I beat the person with the droids, the dude with the spider things, and the Heralds of Zildrog, but I'm stuck on the guy with the big K'lor Slug. I've been able to inflict some serious damage on both of the bosses (taking the computer thing's advice to not focus too much on either of them) but they always seem to kill me in the end. Any strategy tips? I'm a sharpshooter gunslinger. Are there abilities I should be using? Should my companion be a tank, a healer, or another DPS (I've been using Theron, and he's done a good job as a healer on the first three fights, so I'm inclined to stick with that)? And with the new companion system, does which companion I'm using make a difference?

I hate to be giving you all these links, but... *gives you another link anyways* :pHere's a strategy guide for all bosses of the Eternal Championship.

For the guy with the k'lor'slug especially, though, focus on both of the bosses. Be careful not to kill the handler, but get them both down to a relatively low portion of health. Then the k'lor'slug will go into a regenerative state for a while - it's out of the fight. Use that time to BLAST THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS out of the handler. When he dies, the k'lor'slug will also die, apparently echoing Padme and dying of a broken heart. Guess k'lor'slugs have feelings, too. XD

-Oh, and one more thing: does increasing influence with all the alliance people affect the story later on? Will there be a point when I won't be able to do anything with the alliance anymore? I want to know if I can move on with the story or if I should work on some of the side missions first (I'm at level 67 or 68 or something and all of the stuff I've been doing has level-shifted me up to 70, so I think I was supposed to just keep going).

As far as I'm aware, increasing influence with the Alliance specialists only helps in the Heroic mode Star Fortresses, where getting the Alliance specialists to level 10 influence or more will gain you access to special equipment that you can use to heal you, fight alongside you, shield you, draw aggro, etc. But as for affecting the actual story... well, if you've killed the Voss Star Fortress, that affects one minor bonus mission in KOTET early on. Other than that, I don't think it has any impact on story.

And as for not being able to do anything with the Alliance - I don't think there is a point like that. I'm *pretty sure* you can just keep doing things with the Alliance (Heroic quests to get Alliance crates, Star Fortresses, Alliance Alerts, etc.) even after you've completed KOTET.

  21. And you are aware that the strike only affects games that started production After February 17, 2015? SWTOR doesn't fall under the strike.

They got it. No need to pile on, yeah? :)

Anyway, the more people talk about this, the more it really does sound like Joseph Gatt, who voiced Scourge. With...an Australian accent? (Heh, grania, I'm in the same boat as you. Couldn't distinguish between Australian and British accents. :o I wonder if that was the same show...? ...which I cannot remember the name of. Doctor...something...mysteries...?? *facepalm*)

  22. Welcome back! :D

Well, it depends on what class you're going with: Jedi Shadow (consular), Sith Assassin (inquisitor), Jedi Guardian (knight), or Sith Juggernaut (warrior). Also it depends on if you're playing PVE or PVP. Personally (I do not play PVP), I find the Guardian and Juggernaut tanks to be very fun and easy to play. As for specific builds... ehhh, can't help you there from personal experience, sorry. :p However, there are class guides on Dulfy, but only the ones for shadow and assassin tanks have been posted so far. Here they are, respectively:

    Kinetic Combat Shadow

    Darkness Assassin

There *are* guides for Defense Guardian and Immortal Juggernaut, but they have not been updated for 5.0. So they're not *entirely* up to date, but they can still be quite relevant if you want to get a general feel for the class.

Here is one for the PVP Darkness Assassin, as well.
