  1. Maybe if instead of changing how it looks to others, sabotage will only affect how it looks to the saboteur. Then the SH owner could get a "you've been attacked!" message, but it doesn't require a reset of how the SH looks, but loses prestige or whatever points to be regained by sabotaging elsewhere, or putting other things down.
  2. Something I enjoyed with KOTOR I and II was the crew interactions with each other.

We have a lot of off-screen ones, like Vette annoying Quinn, or Mako and Torian dating, but I want to have a chance to see those. Or have companions walk around miming at each other (or generic, scripted convos like "reports" and "look into medical equipment" and "Tell that droid to shut up!") So make the ship feel live.

T3 in the KOTOR games moved around, which helped make the ship feel 'alive' ish. Ish.

Ooh! Conversation, even repeating ones, for the ship droids. "Master, I have painted the ship interior. Same color, only fresher!" "You do that too often."

  3. I don't do a whole lot of grouping on this server, but as a west coastie, I find Shadowlands a pretty good server since I play in the evening my time, and it's close to midnight server time. A little less lag, fun conversations from time to time in gen chat.

But that's where I have a lot of my alts, so I don't play as often.

  4. Using Karen Traviss' Commando Series, I would say the simple answer is yes.

Long answer: It would be a challenge to overcome the whole Force User stigma, but as long as you follow the Mandalorians' customs and ways... However, this would have to make going for alignments very hard, since Mando'ade value family(clan) above the self.

I have my Pureblood Inquisitor the adopted daughter of my power tech, story wise as she was a slave who fought often against the overseers, so he took her under his metaphorical wing and taught her how to fight, even encouraging her to master the lightning. Then when she could defend herself, she killed the overseers with the Force and helped him escape before she was sent to the academy. They keep in touch through letters.

Possible, takes a bit of RPing. Your Warrior could be adopted into a Clan if s/he proves worthy, but don't expect yourself to play as a traditional Sith. Though I like the vibroblade using idea.

  5. I get my 100 CC each month on the date I got my Security Key instead of each month tied with my subscription.

So the 5-6th* of each month, I get my subscriber 500 CC, but on the 26th of each month I get my SK 100 CC.

*60 day timecard user here, hence the not so specific date there.

  6. It doesn't annoy me but how does Bioware make ANY profit if you can make coins? I mean you can just get a ton of subs you click the links and constantly get 500 coins.

500 cartel market coins are about $5 USD.

A 60-day time card costs $30 USD before taxes.

Standard subscription is about, what, $12-15 USD a month.

You get the coins as long as you refer someone, and as long as that someone subscribes. So, considering the price of a subscription, the coins you get is like a monthly finder's fee, and chump change to EA.

They are making a profit, after giving us the incentives.

  7. Thats the problem. Why are they exactly the same? Why make two mods with the same stats? Why not just one? And why are the other mods not like this in the beginning. Commando and reflex are the only mods that are EVER the exact same.

You sound like you're missing the point.

When you start off they are the same numbers.

As early as Taris/Balmorra for Republic/Imperial respectively, they start to change. Commando mods will focus more on Endurance, and Reflex mods will focus more on Aim.

But when you start, they are the same. But they will change. And the names are as they are because they will not be the same later on. Also the better versions of those mods even at first (so high quality crafted ones) will show the difference.

But it is only when you start off that they look identical.

Please note, I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to be as straightforward as I can, for the sake of clarity.

  8. If you haven't logged into the character in 8-12 months, your name on the server should become forfeit and thrown back into the "up for grabs" pool.

Isn't that the current setting? Oh, no... That's F2P and Prefs...

But that system is on use (at least partially). I have very rarely ever had trouble with naming characters, if it is based on a common name, I assume it has been taken and try a different one.

Ex. Ashlyn became Aishlynne. Michael became Mikail. Anna is Ahnauh. Izzy is Eizzey.

And I admit to using non-English words for names. Why? Because I can, and I like the word, and what it means.

  9. No. LOL. I wasn't even thinking of TMNT when I thought of a scarf or something of that nature. I was thinking of old chinese martial arts movies with a blind teacher who teaches a student how to fight blind, also "Neo" from the Matrix trilogy, and finally of "Reiko," a blind martial artist in the Mortal Kombat games.

Okay, then I've been working with kids who love TMNT too much. XD

    But that does sound cool.

  10. Very necro'd, but since it has been mentioned and requested for so long...

I would love this. I use the same keys for the same slots and then arrange my abilities to a unique way for the role they play, but it can be a real hassle.

And some people have really complex keybinding systems, so it can take longer than just a couple minutes. Mine's not super complex, but I use my number pad for every ability, leaving my left hand free to just hit directions or Ctrl for some keybindings.

Now, who wouldn't love this as an option?

  11. And now I think about it, I kind of wish for a harem option for romances, but that might be a bit much considering that they're sticking with Western Standard definition of romance...

    And that's another thread.

Other things now that I think of it:

Change Jaesa's VA-ing. LS her sounds like she's always trying to sound tough (and failing, even pre-recruitment) and her DS voice just grates my nerves.

Maybe more often letters, throughout the game instead of two from the romance options you take. And the 'mailing the crafted item' letters, I would love if they had a bit of the character to them.

  12. How about this take on the idea (or possibly just an elaboration of what the OP was thinking, since he didn't go into much detail):

Ability to combine any primary color dye with any secondary color dye. Sell small "packs" of 5 or 10 or whatever of these dye templates on the Market and/or have it be a credit thing at a vendor somewhere. Wouldn't be cheap, would be cool.

So I buy a pack of 5 Dye Templates, and I buy a primary orange dye and a secondary green dye, and I insert them into this modable Dye Template to create an Orange and Green Dye Module. Presumably all three pieces would be destroyed upon removing the item; though it would be nice to be able to reuse the templates, I find it unlikely ;) Maybe be able to change the colors so long as you don't remove the template? That way you only have to buy one template per armor set/piece you want to dye, but if you want them for multiple sets you have to buy more than one.

Ah, in that case... I would love that, personally.

  13. I agree. I would like to see new masks also. I'd like to see a blindfold like a scarf (a long strip of fabric tied in the back of the head) and can be color changed with a dye mod (red, blue, green etc).

Miraluka with that mask as a Jedi Shadow... Ninja? Red/blue/green, have you been watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately? ;)

But I agree it would be cool.

  14. Instead of selling the black black and white white set, Why not sell a templete that are blank? Then we can add any color to primary and secondary.

Money. They would make more money or be more of a credit sink, by having only those set types, no fill with whatever you want kind.

Not saying this is a bad idea, just the most likely reason for why not.

  15. It feels cheap that people can pretty much make free CCs and get 7 days for this.

... Isn't that the point? "Here, for referring a friend to try our game, have some stuff and keep telling more friends about us!"

And "Oh, your friend recommended this game? Here, try out the full game for a week and this stuff, so even if you don't buy the subscription, you still have some cool stuff to help you enjoy this game even more!"

Yes. That is a terrible marketing plan. Terrible. </sarcasm>

Even if us subscribers get referred, that is a free week we don't have to concern ourselves over a subscription. Because not all of us use credit card payments. I use time cards eery two months.
