  1. Yeah, I play a sentinel and a scoundrel, and I agree with the rest of the posters in this thread, an equally played/geared sentinel should win every time provided he has his trinket up. Not to mention, I can pull nearly as much burst on my sentinel as I can on my scoundrel, and my sustained damage is far better.
  2. A lot of the time when I use force camo on my sentinel, I'll become permanently invisible and it'll just be my lightsabers floating in mid air. Sometimes, I'm not sure why, but I'll get stunned for 2 minutes straight and just be there siezing.
  3. Just curious, why don't more mercenaries fake cast? Tracer is a 1.5 sec cast, it shouldn't be that difficult.
  4. How did they win even though you had both turrets at the end...?
  5. I'm usually not one to criticize other people's taste in music, but you have god awful taste in music.

  7. While huttball in particular greatly favors ranged, what you're noticing is more that they do much better in group pvp than they do on their own.
  8. I love pvping to imagine, it adds a nice contrast to me beating people's faces in.
  9. So they shouldn't have done it at all? I mean that probably took one programmer half an hour to change, it's not like they spent an absurd amount of resources on it, and if it makes any difference at all I'm still grateful. The biggest thing we're seeing from this is that they're acknowledging there's a lag problem in Ilum. Other MMOs may have simply swept this under the rug, but if this is anything it's an indicator that they're working on it.
  10. I'm just curious, they're becoming ridiculously fotm on my server (Not calling them op or anything, just saying there are a ton of em)
  11. I mean honestly, how quickly do you guys expect them to optimize the engine? At the very least, I'm glad they're acknowledging the problem and providing some (albeit small) help in the meantime.
  12. He did well anyways though.

    Fun Factor

I have the most fun on my sentinel because it always seems like I've got something to do.
  14. Well I guess that's pretty easy to miss when they explicitly state that it should give marauders and sentinels a dps boost.
  15. Idk, on my server most people give MVP to top heals regardless of if the healer was good or god awful. We had a sorc healer the other day that literally used force storm every time a melee ended up on her, and left the match (A full voidstar) with some 80k healing and 20k dmg, and was mvp.
  16. When did screaming as loud as you can become music?
  17. No, you're just mad that you didn't watch the video and said that everything he did other than his rotation was perfect, even though all he did was tab target and spam tk throw. You proposed that operatives were only nerfed because amazing players used biochem and crit for stupid amounts. That's ********, anyone with 8 hours that could press 5 buttons crit for stupid amounts, skill or player quality had absolutely nothing to do with it. As for being a fotm reroller, My first character WAS A SORCERER, I complain about the class because of how absurdly easy it is to play, I don't the the run of the mill fotm player calls for nerfs on his own classes when he knows they're overpowered - the same goes for my operative too if you were to look at the pvp forums when they were still overpowered. They were becoming a problem everywhere, they were less of a problem at high end than anywhere else. And "2 globaling geared tanks" is a blatant lie, the maximum an operative could ever crit, regardless of skill, was ~ 9k with consumables stacking and on a target with really bad expertise. And that's just with shoot first, and your next attack would hit for a maximum of 5k on the same target. After the consumable nerf that 9k dropped to a 7k, and a 4k, on light armor. A decently geared tank has over 20k health and takes 10% less damage from expertise, and takes ~ 10% less from armor after you take the 50% arpen into account. I'm not saying that 11k damage in 2 gcds on light armor isn't overpowered, it definitely is, but operatives were never 2 shotting geared high end players, let alone tanks. You've got absolutely no idea what you're talking about here, Shoot first filled your resolve bar either way, being skilled doesn't somehow change the mechanics so that shoot first somehow no longer fills your resolve. Unless I've got some second stun that goes through resolve, you're making stuff up at this point. You've got no idea the difference between gear, and skill do you? You claimed that SKILLED operatives were critting stupid amounts because they're skilled, being skilled doesn't make you crit for 9k, having the consumables and gear makes you crit for 9k. You claimed that sorcerer who ran around tab targeting the first person in sight and only using tk throw was skilled (Still have absolutely no idea how you figured that) even though the only thing that contributed at all to his damage besides his absurdly easy to play class was his gear. And even then, without the ~ 10% increase in damage bm gear gives you over champion gear, he still would've been in 1st in terms of damage, and most likely kills. Not sure you know what a rotation is. If average players didn't matter, and marauders are overpowered when played by above average players... then why on earth did marauders get buffed last patch? Think about that for a minute. That's interesting considering they were buffed last patch... Hmm. And I never abandoned my operative, I still play him pretty regularly. I play multiple classes and I always have. Not to mention I still do great on my Sentinel, I'm rarely anything but top damage, but this isn't some e-peen thread where I brag about how great I am. More than anything I'd like this change so I could feel like I'm actually doing something on my sorcerer again. I've already got a level 50 sorcerer that I leveled up well before my scoundrel and sentinel. They ARE easy mode, and I DO beat better players than myself. It's the only class I don't play anymore because of how bored of It I've gotten. As you've seen in the video, regardless of what I do, I can still get great numbers out of a ridiculously easy class. Player skill has very little impact on your performance as a sorcerer sure, gear does, but that's irrelevant, and that's why I think they should be balanced around the marauder model where better players do better.
  18. Not sure why all the hate, I thought it was pretty good apart from all the slow-mos.

    WTB Dueling

Would be nice, but they should have it somewhere sorta secluded, so it won't ruin everyone else's fps.

    Severely bored :\

I agree with some of the other people in this thread, if you expect the game to supply you with 20,000 hours of gameplay, you can't really expect all 20,000 hours of it to be incredibly exciting and to never get repetitive. I mean lets be practical here, you're just paying 15$ a month. If you want to add in some ridiculously boring rep grinds for things like the insane title in wow that's more of something you'd post in the general forums.
  21. I'm only asking because before, I was under the impression that in general sorcs were the better healers, almost every wz I went into had a sorc at the top of the list, but the other day I was on my sent with a commando pocket healing me, and christ, I was completely invincible, we did an aldaraan and he kept us up through 5 imperials trying to take the node. (Granted, they weren't very good, and I did need to pop defensive cds) but it was insane. I've never seen a sorcerer pull anything like this before. So I'm wondering if this was just a fluke, an amazing player against a bad team, or what.
  22. It is sad, the insane faction imbalance here is really taking its toll on the game, IMO the biggest problem with it is that it just doesn't balance itself out. Most games have mechanisms in place that penalize people for rolling a faction that greatly outnumbers the other, usually with hour long pvp queue times... Even though it sucks to have an hour long queue time this means that most people will roll the other faction. As far as in this game... I can't think of anything like this. There needs to be some sort of benefit to playing the less populated faction.
  23. Both are very fun classes, but even though in general melee are disadvantaged it doesn't stop good players from managing to do very well, so don't jump on the fotm train and roll a sorc if you don't want to. Marauders are amazing brawelers, great damage, great defensive cds, and are a healer's nightmare, and while assassins don't do quite as much damage as marauders, and have slightly weaker defensive cds (In dps spec, that is) they've got a lot more utility and cc. Basically, if you want to do well in all out fights and kill healers, roll a marauder, when you want to have a lot of team support and still do pretty well in all out fights, roll an assassin.
  24. This guy is right. Except, I have to add that pulls (assassin / powertech) are amazingly useful in zergy pvp.
  25. But being a battlemaster doesn't necessarily mean you're a good player, a good player in champion gear will still wipe the floor with a mediocre player in BM
