As much time as people put into complaining about things, they could have another 50 on a second server. She probably means that since the transfers are happening and the populations on the server are going to be better. It stands to reason that there would be enough people on the servers to participate in a world event.

It is in the launcher when you log on. It tells you to go tot he forums and check. The forums tell you to check back regularly for updates. You have to go to the forums and log in to start your character transfers. You can't do it any other way. They also used facebook, twitter among other things that direct you to the forums. If they send you an email, where they going to tell you where to go? I bet it is the forums where it says keep checking back.

Don't remember replying to anything you posted directly. And your first post doesn't mention anything about being an unsubbed. In fact it says you are having fun playing. Second if you read the news in the launcher it is there. And to answer you last question where did I object to BW being proactive about telling people who left the game and telling them about transfers?

Yes but the above quotes are correct. You don't have to sit around and keep checking to see if you can move your character. When you log in you read the new news. Hey I can transfer my character. Go and check before logging in. If not there log in. If there move character. If it was posted early in the morning it will still be there when you get home. The servers listed will still be there and available for transfer. It isn't like you have to transfer your character between 7 and 8 am and that is all the time you have to do it. On the bright side maybe your server will be a destination server and you won't have to do anything at all.

I thought that was what people did when they played the game.

I agree, I want to be able to know what FP'S I have completed by looking at a list on the codex.

Everyone complains until they see they are next on the list. They also said they were increasing the server capacities, so Fat man and Jedi Covenant should be able to handle the influx of characters. Millions of characters. Yes there are a lot of characters to be transferred. Even if there is only 200k subs, multiply that by the number of characters some people have on multiple servers. It adds up.

If you look at the list a lot of people are going to get "You have no characters eligible for character transfer." seeing only one server from each type and zone is eligible at this point. You are being overly dramatic at this point.

Why can you have both. When you get tired of the PVP thing, go play on the PVE server for a bit. I would move all your characters to their respective destination servers if you can. While it is free to do so.

I would wait and see if your server is listed in the first batch of moves before cancelling.

We won't be able to play our character while it is queued for transfer. Is this correct? How long is a few hours compared to if there is a high volume of characters being transferred? Days? Should I roll another alt during this time?

The armor will scale to the type you wear instead of remaining light armor. Also with the new Augmentation kits social gear can be fitted with an augmentation slot. Allowing it to be comparable with the best gear available. This is hopefully going to give people an incentive to obtain the social gear by grouping together more. ie. Using the new LFG Finder Tool.

I need 64 character slots so I can play each class with there various advance classes and each of their roles for both factions. But wait I also need the 64 x the available species. That would be 640. I would then need more 64 more slots with each new species released. Oh my this is going to add up. I might need my own server if this game keeps growing.

Apparently not, I remember a slew of post here begging for RP-Servers and especially the RP-PVP servers. It stands to reason that most people don't want to RP so don't join the RP servers otherwise they would have rolled on those severs. It was stated that this was Phase 1 meaning there are other Phases to continue. They are doing this in an orderly fashion. Just because you are not in the first phase doesn't mean you won't get a chance to move. There are millions of characters to be moved. It will take time even with the tool they can only move so many characters at a time per day. Just because you are not at the front of the line doesn't mean that they will not eventually move you. They are just limiting the initial phase to same type servers. The server size is not based upon the number of characters but the number of players. If you have characters there already and still have available slots, you should be able to transfer more if they qualify for the transfer. Here is the sticky thread about character transfers. The difference is that you are paying to remove the mod so it will be usable again. You can dismantle your car without knowing what you are doing but that is no guarantee that all those dismantled parts will be usable when it is put back together. With out proper tools you can strip bolts, ruin a computer chip. So basically if they used the mod tables like they were supposed to, it would be in effect paying a professional to take it out so it can be used again in something else. Just sticking the new mod in without first removing it is like ripping the old one out and replacing it with a new one.
