  1. The skill is also going to have a 20 minute cooldown, so it's not something you can constantly spam, but one to save for special moments.
  2. I use the X4. Mine seems to work ok, not that I have it set to use many. Have you checked the macro's list to make sure your recordings are there? Also check which profile they are stored in and that that profile loads when TOR starts. Worth checking the keyboard is configured correctly and is using the correct drivers.
  3. An 'orange' items base stats ie Armour Value and Armour Rating do not play a roll in calculating the effect of a mod as far as I know. Those base values are replaced by the mods values. So those base values are the numbers used in calculating damage mitigation if you equiped that item without adding any mods to it. Exactly what the calculation is for Armour Value I've no idea, but it does vary according to what class of armour it is applied to ( Light, Medium or Heavy ) and what piece of armour it is ( eg Helmet, Gloves etc. ). The Rating value seems to apply equally to any piece. Armour Rating itself is an indication of damage mitigation against non-elemental damage. From another website: "Armor rating (or AR, or sometimes just armor) is a statistic that decreases kinetic and energy damage dealt to a character. Wearing pieces of armor increases armor rating. Against enemies of level equal to yours, kinetic and energy damage dealt to you is multiplied by 1/(1 + A/1600), where A is your armor rating."
  4. Any incoming fix in the very near future ( Soon TM ) for that damned annoying Companion Return window?
  5. Well I've been running the 295.51 ones for a few days now with no problems in TOR.
  6. Have you run the Ilum and Belsavis dailies yet to get the 'purple' mods for 'orange' gear and the earpieces/implants? Might be a good first step. Beaten too it..see above post
  7. Glad to help..thats puzzled a few others too.
  8. 25 I think is limit. More than that and it won't let you take more and you get that message.
  9. Then you can safely swap that crystal out. Several folk in my guild, myself included, have removed offending Light/Dark Crystals and replaced them with appropriate ones. But if it's working as is, no need to bother. Just if you want to hang onto it and upgrade it at some point.
  10. Is the Crystal greyed out? Is it just the Crystal tooltip that says 'Needs Dark X etc'?
  11. Copy from my post in another thread: "As far as the health issue is concerned, what you are seeing at the moment is people who are immediately affected by this change. You also need to consider what the long term implications are. Players who aren't currently experiencing any problems may well develope symptoms in the future as a result of prolonged exposure. The current problems are a warning that should not be ignored. I would also mention that some other games give players the option to tone down or turn off visual effects that they find distressing." Player choice is the way forward, not being stuck with a UI that you have no in-game control over.

  13. When you hit lvl 50 there are two series of daily missions that you can do. Some are solo, some are 2+ and 4+ Heroic. They are found on Ilum and Belsavis with starter missions found on Fleet. The solo missions give Daily Commendations which can be exchanged for 'purple' items like armour mods and barrels. The 2+ and 4+ also award Daily Commendations, but also give 'purple' mods and enchancements. Provided your character is equiped with 'orange' gear you can run these dailies and use the rewards to boost your stats with 'purple' mods.
  14. The game is marketed as being story driven but gamers are a multi-faceted group and you have added content to try and attract a wide range of players from different play styles, some of whom have no or very little interest in 'story'. This QA session is showing that all these different groups are asking for things to suit their particular playstyle. The raiders want more raids and/or harder challenging content. The PvPers want more and better PvP scenarios and 'balance'. The soloers want more solo content. The RP'ers want more 'tools' to enhance their play style. ( add your own play styles wish list here ! ) Are you going to try and treat each group equally and continue adding content for all the main play-styles or will we start to see Dev attention focusing more and more on certain 'groups' at the expense of others, keeping in mind of course that this is meant to be a 'story driven' MMO?
  15. There are two types of Vendor, one does armour and barrels, the other does earpieces and implants. The two daily 2+ Heroics give Enhancements and Mods. Not sure what the 4+'s give.
  16. Mines called Shudup, as its all I ever say to him.
  17. 59 ( for a few more weeks ), playing 5-6 hours a day and loving every moment. Total play time so far: 10 days, 14hrs and 30 mins.
  18. I had this after 1.1 as well. Intermittent flickering and some items losing texture as you moved around. I suggest you check your graphic preferences if you haven't done so since the update. I found that Vsync had been turned off. Turning it back on cured the problem for me. Worth a try anyway.
  19. Personally I started using Elara as soon as I got her. She is a pretty good healer. It's also a good way to get her 'romance' up if you are able/intend to court her.
  20. Curious to see if any else is experiencing this issue. I have been noticing lately that there seems to be a delay when changing target. Examples: Firing at Mob A and swap target to stun Mob B, activate skill and Mob A gets the stun not B. Firing at Mob A and swap target to heal player A, activate skill and get message 'Cannot use skill on enemy target'. Especially for healing this is very annoying.
  21. To the OP. What triggers migraines varies from person to person, but sudden bright light or flashing light is on most lists of known triggers.
  22. Getting the same thing myself. Always from those 'energy towers'. Either get the green line, but depending on the viewing angle, it can turn into a huge sheet of blinding light that covers most of the screen. Very off putting and certainly hard on the eyes. Changing the camera angle or view angle can help, but it rarely goes away completely. Have found it in 3-4 locations on Tatooine and 1 on Nar Shaddaa.
