However, (c'mon you knew there'd be a however), i petition Bioware for one small alteration, and it is this, PLEASE fix it so my rakling can ride my new tauntaun. he would fit right in front of the bedroll, and he could then keep up with my speeder. and it would look really really cool, to boot

F2P, MT, cash stores. NO! I havent played a ton of mmo's, but the ones i have played that went F2P went absolutly to pot after they were changed. CoH was fun for a few years, now you can do whatever you want, as long as your rl wallett can take it. LOTRO was my favorite game ever, to the point that i paid for a lifetime subscription. F2P came in, and suddenly i had been hacked on three seperate occasions and, though still considered a "lifer" i had to pay for things like consumables and many of the cosmetic things i had been able to earn in game up to that point. In both games i've used as examples here, i dropped out shortly after cash stores were introduced, and will here as well. Short version, if you think F2P will "enhance" this game in any way, i urge you to go to LOTRO and travel to the high level areas, and say hi to the player you'd be lucky to see there. That one guy. And the two of you can have fun playing a two-player mmo. I won't be there, and i won't be here if it goes F2P.

I'm a talker. LOL, understatement. i actually never shut up. that said, i spend most of my time talking to my guildies, and most of that talking on our voice chat server. its just easier, as typing as much as i talk gets me either 1. killed for standing in a mission and paying no attn to the mobs, or 2. never getting quests done for standing in a sfae zone and chatting my happy a** off. so i think there is a social crowd out there, most of us have just joined guilds who'll put up with us, and talk to our guildies in vc. my guilds chat box will stay dead for hours at a time, but thats because im running my big mouth in mumble whilst im slaughtering in game.

I had a guy join my guild last nite, and after some randomizing and BS chatting, he made a comment that disturbed me. He said he has never done FP's and skips his heroics because he had been yelled at and booted from groups before because he "didn't know what he was doing" or "didnt know his class" Really? i don't pug anymore, mostly because i have been sick to death of the leetists who treat others this way, and im sad to say i had forgotten this mentality. i formed my guild so i didnt have to deal with this, but in doing so i was able to ignore the poor folks who dont have a group of people to run with, and have to endure the tooth-aching stupidity that can be the general populace. So i post this, an apology on behalf of the decent folks in the game. there are good people out there, people who understand everyone has to start at one and learn from there. there are people who can be in a group, wipe, and still laugh about it as long as your enjoying yourself. unfortunatly most of those people have foregone the PUG scene and joined or formed guilds of like minded individuals. hang in there, you people who don't have the best rigs, or infinite times to play. you people who have families that require attn, or full time jobs that require you to focus there first and game as you can. if you play in mind trick, and your looking for a group like this, my guild site's in my sig. if you play on another server i really hope you find one of the guilds there who are good and decent people who enjoy the game because its fun, not because it matters how fast you hit 50, or how awesome your gear is. we're not all like that, and some of us are pretty fun guys and gals. /endrant J

^^^^^^^ This. These are the people I want to play with. These are the people i get along with. These are the people i want in my guild. (shameless guild recruitment snuck in, HA you never saw it coming, i AM that good.) Casual players are the ones who will help if you need it, Hardcore are the ones who will help as long as you play the way they say too, and as long as you gear the way they say. Casual=Allies, Hardcore=Axis (Too soon?)

i dunno if this is the right place for this post, but it's a general enough question. What do you or your friends call The Droid? I've always called him Rosie, seeing as he's my ships maid, but i overheard a few better ones in chat last night, some rather mean, and some pretty funny. Example; one of my guildies calls him R2-DTARD. Just getting the communities opinion.

i agree with most everything thats been said about the desire for banks, and guild ships, and all that. however i for one am willing to wait patiently for all that. imo (and just MY OPINION) im glad they didnt focus too hard on the guild things, or else this would have become a guild only game. yes i'm in a guild, but its a guild formed ingame since launch, and made of people i found in game. had they let the single players down in favor of guild players, i would have been massivley disappointed and may not have played long enough to meet the great group i have. that said, now that i'm in a guild, i would like to see some more guild things implemented in the future. Ive always been partial to CoX, where they had raids you ran as a guild, against other guilds, using your guild bases as settings. i think an invade and conquer type quest for guilds would work well in this game too. just my opinion, you may not agree, but i have mine and you have yours. J
