  1. That mission has been like that for a while, it's to do with the way you travel to Coruscant. Use your own ship, not the shuttle or Fleet Pass/Shuttle. In fact there used to be several missions that would behave like that. So the safest bet is always to use your ship ( once available ) if you are told to travel anywhere.
  2. Haven't had much time to do a lot of testing on live, just managed a few Belsavis Dailies last night and I'm not a number cruncher either, so this is just my guesstimate from numbers I recall seeing. Against trash mobs. Grav Round: I'm estimating a bigger than 10% drop in damage and less crits. Pre 1.2 I'd get crits for around the 2800-3000 mark. Last night my highest crit was around 2300 and they were fairly rare. Highest non crit was around 1300 down from around 1800. I often used this to finish off a trash mob after MV, not so reliable now. Mortar Volley: Fine for small, tight groups. But the drop in radius is very noticeable when dealing with more spread out groups of trash. One group I will mention is a group of 5 Imps in one of the Belsavis dailies. Pre 1.2 I could hit all 5 and usually have only 2 left standing. Post 1.2 the most I could hit with MV was 3 and some were still standing, leaving 2 totally undamaged mobs plus 1-2 partials. So effectively a large drop in damage against groups of trash as less are in the target area. Maybe my impression, but overall mobs that are in the target area seem to survive with more health remaining. Against Silvers: No noticeable difficulty, but since GR does less damage, more skills used in the rotation. Overall kill time slightly longer. Against Elites: Again no difficulty, just more skills used in rotation and slightly longer kill time. Summary: Trash mobs are a more of a pain and take longer to clear, big drop in damage from Grav Round against all mob types, seems to be a lot less crits and MV is less effective and seems to be doing less damage against mobs it does hit. Early days, but could have been worse.
  3. Same for me. Also noticed in my log the mission to go and visit Jaxo in her flat. Not gonna be easy that as she died a while back.
  4. I don't think it has anything to do with companions. Each character ( of a different class ) that you get to 50 and complete class mission series with, grants one class ability to be used during your Herioc Moment.
  5. I suspect there is a plan for what needs to done to apply a big update with lots of boxes that need to be ticked to say this is ready. Until all the boxes are ticked and the green light for deployment is on they will not give a definate date. Too much flak if they give a date and there is some last minute hitch. They probably were planning to release it on the 12th, several strong hints ( hastily corrected ), but until that last box was ticked they would be foolish to confirm a release date. The problem is how do you convey that uncertainty of date in a way that keeps ( most ) players happy.
  6. From a Dev post: "Clarification begins...now. The class buff unlocks occur when a character finishes Chapter 2. At that point, that character's class buff is unlocked for all characters of his legacy. Each class' buff applies all of your unlocked class buffs with a single click. It's not 4 buttons you have to keep on your quickbar. One click, all the buffs. An example: I have an Imperial Agent that finishes Chapter 2. The Agent unlocks his class buff for my legacy. I now go log onto my level 1 Sith Inquisitor. When my Sith Inquisitor casts Mark of Power, it ALSO applies the effects of Coordination, since I have unlocked the Agent's buff. Furthermore, to get the full set of buffs, you only need to unlock 4 classes. Unlocking the buff for Agent and Smuggler still only nets you a single buff effect, so you can't stack their +Crit bonuses together. (Because that might be a wee bit overpowered. Maybe.) Clarification ends... now."
  7. Each buff you unlock automatically applies to all characters in your legacy with a single button press. ie the unlocked buffs are added to your current characters one. So if you have unlocked trooper buff and you are playing your sage when you hit sage buff button you will get both buffs. Cross faction are mirrors of each other so the name is irrelevant. But the class buff unlocks are applied cross faction. You will not however get 2x +5% Endurance buffs if you level both a Trooper and a BH, the mirror buffs do not stack.
  8. From the Dev post to clarify the issue: "Clarification begins...now. 9. I thought class buff unlock was for completing Act 2. Isn't it Heroic Class ability for reaching 50?
  10. When designing new armour think FUNCTION! What you design is primarily for wearing in combat. If you are tempted to add something because it looks 'cool', stop and think. What does this big, flashy, sticky outie, glowing shoulder pad actually do in a combat situation? Is it for protection from some sort of attack, will it get caught up in foliage, will it hinder the wearers movement or ability to fire a weapon. It may be a fantasy game, but to my mind anyway, fantasy works best when you can rationalise or explain how something works or what it is for. i.e. it needs a solid grounding in common sense practicality and reality. Make it believable in other words.
  11. Just curious. How many PvPers report that their OWN class is overpowered?
  12. Open world zones with multiple objectives.
  13. Mainly why I always use a cannon with a single barrel. That effect annoys the hell out me too.
  14. Cardboard boxes! You were lucky, we only had paper bags.
  15. Methinks they would have to rework a lot of the Datacron ( Mario ) locations if they did that
  16. I decided to give the 1.2 update a look at on the PTS so I've started downloading the PTS client. Really? 11.62GB Main Assets 1 when I already have a full copy of the game on my drive. Not everyone has a 'superfast connection' and many have download limits. If you want more people to test stuff on the PTS then might I suggest you work on a new method for setting up the PTS client. 'Fallen Earth' for example. You downloaded a pts setup exe which created a copy of the already existing game client in a PTS directory, gave you a seperate PTS launcher and then patched the PTS client to the latest version. So apart from the initial exe download and the patching you get the PTS client up and running in as short a time as possible.
  17. They postponed it for one week due to the Guild Summit being held.
  18. Ctrl-Right Click the Sabre ( Light Stick? ), remove the current crystal, drop in new crystal and hit apply. Assuming your new crystal is a different colour to the green one, your Light Saber will show the new colour.
  19. Don't think so. The credit prices are a choice for players who only want to play one character. As I understand it, you get the legacy level and it's free or you can buy for that price if you don't want to work on legacy level.
  20. Yes, I do know that. It is just such an un-interesting skill to use in what I assume is your 'Heroic' moment every 20 minutes.
  21. "Completing Act Three (at max-level) Empire class unlocks the following abilities for everyone in your legacy: Flamethrower (Bounty Hunter), Lightning Storm (Sith Inquisitor), Force Choke (Sith Warrior), Orbital Strike (Imperial Agent). For Republic classes: Project (Jedi Consular), Force Sweep (Jedi Knight), Sticky Grenade (Republic Trooper), Dirty Kick (Smuggler)." 'Sticky Grenade' for getting a trooper to 50! How underwhelming Is that the most 'Iconic' class skill the Devs can come up with as a legacy unlock?
  22. Well "Phasing out" usually means a planned removal in my part of the world , but semantics aside, the purple re-usables constitute the bulk of Biochem's armory of purple recipes. What other craft has purples with lower values than blues? Biochem: Blues>Purples>Greens. Other crafts: Purples>Blues>Greens. Ah, I hear you cry, but they are re-useable. Well what other craft produces items which aren't? You don't have to pop a new crystal in your Light Sabre or Gun every day do you? Or replace your armour mods? In fact if you get a lvl 11 orange at lvl 11 you can use it right through to end game. All you do is upgrade as you need better gear, you don't have to keep buying a full new set of gear everyday. So how is making the 'purple' re-usable Biochems not linked to having the Biochem skill, going to kill the game economy or ruin gameplay? If anything it opens the market to Biochemists and free's them from constantly having to 'farm' enough mats to be able to produce 'consumables' for everyones needs. ie more time to actually play the game. In fact all the Biochem 'consumables' should be re-usable and useable by anyone , just of greater difficulty and cost to obtain the 'best in slot'.
  23. It was cancelled last week due to the Guild Summit.
  24. Another epic fail patch from BW. It took me a month of doing 8 man Ops to get my wind to drop. One patch and its back. /unsub
  25. It was mentioned in the Crew Skills section of the summit that the Biochem re-usables are going to be phased out. This will effectively remove the 'purple' recipes from much of Bio and put more pressure/difficulty on obtaining enough mats for the single use ones. Will there be new recipes to replace the phased out re-useables? Will the supply of mats needed to make the single use ones be increased to cope with a rise in demand?
