  1. There is a depressing lack of Imperial and Republic military uniform and armor shells in the game. Everyone seems to go nuts over robes, merc armor, every clothing model on Alderaan, and more robes.
  2. Heresy! Kedge Keep was the most incredible experience in all of EverQuest. Ok, not really.
  3. EVE provides a vital service to the MMO genre. It keeps a large portion of people no one wants to interact with in an MMO contained to one game. It's the Mos Eisley cantina of MMOs.
  4. They need to make a generic creature mount that automatically mounts a planet appropriate creature mount when you use it. So on Hoth and Ilum, it would mount you on a tauntaun. On Tatooine, it would mount you on a dewback or bantha.
  5. Some dev teams like to do hot fixes and others don't. Every method has their pros and cons. Can't really fault them for their choice of patch management.
  6. The nomination threads are a pretty interesting read. All but a handful are already in PVE vs PVP mode. Some are in all out war. There is even one where they are debating a nominee qualification based on the fact they don't clip their GCDs closely enough in videos... heh. The handful that aren't bickering are doing it right by backing one strong PVE and one strong PVP nominee.
  7. If you don't want the extra mail, then don't log in on the 15th. Easy solution.
  8. And for the Amazon one, I think it's an issue with them selling out of codes vary quickly. I've only seen it purchasable twice and less than ten minutes later, it was no longer available. It's probably because it is the easiest one to purchase out of all of the ones available.
  9. For Wal-Mart, have them look up SKU 551372127. Only a couple of the bazillion Wal-Marts in my area actually stock them though. For GameStop, have the employees search for "star wars 2400". Will come up every time so long as the employee knows how to type. It's not a physical card like the Wal-Mart one..
  10. You of all people should know that player on player discourse is often more vitriolic than player on dev. With the stakes being what issues get passed to the devs, it's going to be rougher than you think. It took almost three years for the player rep idea to sort out for EQ2. In the end, SOE asked for nominations and selected players they knew had a history of supporting their class as well as having good communication with devs.
  11. If classes are mirrored, and a rep will stand for both archetypes for that class, why not only four reps? That way you could actually expand the player rep system into areas such as PVP, raid, and RP without adding too much overhead.
  12. Remember PVE and PVP folks, stuff the ballot box in an orderly fashion to get your class issues out front! Nominations should be player generated, but the final selection should be done by BW.
  13. Roll 1d100 and consult the following table for results: 01-48: Send all characters a pack of fireworks. 49-98: Log on character day of event, get in game mail with BOP celebratory title item. 99-00: Change cc for one day celebratory title. Everyone eventually gets a lucky dice roll.
  14. Facebook? Did you guys run out of hosting space on your own site?
  15. Don't forget to bullseye some womp rats along the way!
  16. If folks could slot dyes into HK, we'd have HK's running around looking like H.E.L.P.eR in Dia de Los Dangerous on the Venture Bros. http://venturefans.org/vbwiki/File:Painted_helper.png
  17. At the very least, forum polls would guarantee only subscribers get to vote. That said, forum polls have very limited feedback use due to the minority participation of users that actually visit the forums. Now in game polls when you log in... those would be useful. I remember SOE doing that with EverQuest very often between 2000-2004. One vote per account, presented to all active players, response required. Win win there.
  18. Good idea. I nominate Ayelinna and Andryah as moderators. That way, no one will ever be able to discuss anything. You two can be locked in eternal forum battle like Lazarus and Anti-Lazarus in the old Star Trek episode The Alternative Factor. If F2P want to post, become a subscriber. It's been proven many times over throughout the centuries that the input of people without franchise is worthless, regardless of what the cost is to gain that franchise. In this case, the cost is a subscription.
  19. Keep combing the desert then.
  20. What she really wanted was a SWTOR 2400cc gift card.
  21. On the contrary, if it keeps them around long enough to possibly spend money, it helps the game. It's not like we as players have to actually interact with them or anything.
  22. Features that might help new player retention, that will help people a lot.
