Personal milestones and achievements in MMOs is moving in the direction of achieve your own way. If you want to pay cash to buy shiny bauble #42, go ahead. If you want to grind mobs for a week straight to buy shiny bauble #42, go for it. The one thing that hasn't caught up with that direction is outside player perception of achievement. Those that grind for the bauble will think the cash player is a lazy spendthrift. The cash player will think the grinders are daft for spending so much time in game. It's just another aspect to add to the traditional PVE vs PVP, casual vs hardcore, and RP vs non-RP arguments.

I don't think you are understanding how the system works. The subscriptions are not purchased with credits from the shop. They are purchased from other players who first purchased them with cash. Which is unfair in your previous opinions.

That's interesting logic. Because players can purchase cash shop items from other players with in game currency, it's not fair? Who is it not fair too? The player getting the credits or the player getting the item they want without having to pay cash?

ESO will likely ship with a cash shop. Might want to think about moving to your backup to the backup MMO.

So long as the legacy level 40 requirement stays, I don't see a problem with the furry little savage being purchased with CC or credits. As far as I'm concerned, they could make everything in the game purchasable with CC so long as there is also a credit purchase option. I'm surprised they haven't done it already.
