  1. When I spec KC, I do well. Good protection numbers and good damage and I'd come away with at least 8-10 medals if not more. That's on a team where we work well together and I'm guarding multiple people. When I specced Infil, each time my DPS was horrible and the only reason I've been able to survive is because they ignored me until I went after the healer if there was one or because I used my stealth abilities early on because I was being focused. Either way, KC is the best option for me at the moment on my Shadow. Haven't tried Balance yet but I doubt there would be much of an improvement. At least for me. When I tried the 'lone wolf' thing it did not work at all. I figured I could CC before we engaged which I did but once the fight starts it doesn't really matter lol.
  2. Excuse me, I have a home. I'm just looking for a new guild TY!!
  3. As a kid, I loved the Ewoks so back then it was Return of the Jedi. Now it would be A New Hope, followed by Revenge of the Sith and Empire Strikes Back. And despite what anyone says, I still love The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. As to why. Well New Hope is the Star Wars introduction and imo sets the pace for what's to come next. We get Sir Alec Guiness as Obi-Wan and we also see all the relationships first being formed. I think that's what the prequels were missing out on. The camaraderie and the relationships between all the characters. The banter between Han and Leia or Han and Chewie. The loyalty that Luke shows Han and that Han eventually reciprocates. We know why everyone is so loyal to each other throughout Ep 4-6 but we don't know why that's the case in Ep 1-3 even though Ep 3 has the most emotional content out of all of them. For Phantom Menace and AOTC it was finally seeing Jedi and Sith in action. I'm a huge fan of the Genosis arena fight and the fight between Maul and Obi-Wan/Qui-Qon. Also, AOTC was where we finally get to see Yoda in action. Excuse me for saying so, but I was high as hell when I saw AOTC and that fight with Yoda and Dooku was epic in my mind lol. So epic I had to make sure it was epic and went back and watched it sober a few more times. Anyway, I'm not high anymore and still love the prequels despite all the faults. But the original is still my favorite.
  4. The only ending that would have suited the Jedi Knight story line would be an attack very similar to the attack on the Star Forge in KoToR 1 or even the attack on the Trayus Academy in KoToR II. That's the ending I was hoping for for my Guardian and I think it came up so short. However, I did enjoy the ending. I think I died 2 or 3 times my first time fighting through to the Emperor. 2nd time was so simple and my 3rd time on my Sentinel I haven't even finished the story line. Just went to Makeb and leveled to 55. Jug storyline ending was very satisfying and I'm gonna give that another roll.
  5. Most of the gear is hideous but I have to say I like the look of the Shadow gear and the Guardian gear. I think it looks cool IMO. However, I don't think I've used PvP gear shells since Battlemaster Gear which is the last PvP gear set I liked. Actually, I liked the Champion gear too. That being said, get you some Orange gear that you can mod yourself. You actually have a great resource now in Planetary Comms. Find a gear set you like from previous planets, get it and use it to put your PvP armorings/mods in. It's cheap and the gear is pretty much free. Don't want to do that? Solo a low level FP. I did that and got a few pieces of gear that I liked. Right now tho, all of my gear is from off the GTN or Cartel gear. Easy way to get gear you'll like. PvP sets have been ugly as sin since War Hero gear and for other classes since before then.
  6. I don't understand why this was never implemented as an ability for Sins/Shadows in the first place! this would be great. Only issue is they would probably have to take something away, like Phase Walk, because they would never give us another ability and the other classes not get one.
  7. When I tank on my PT in WZs, I usually go full DPS except for a Shield Generator and a earpiece or implants. You want to retain some of the tankiness for survival but not lose too much DPS. I'm usually specced into AP OR Shield Tech. Haven't tried the hybrid build yet.
  8. So far, I've been enjoying the changes. I don't like not being able to respec when a role is lacking but otherwise I don't mind so much. Only once did I want to respec on my Shadow when our team had 3 dps and 1 heal. I could have put my guard on the healer to ease the pressure but as it is I taunted every chance I got. I honestly did not think I would enjoy 4x4 as much as I did. What I liked about them was how quick they were. I did 3 on 2 toons and they were all under 5 minutes. Won 2 lost 1 and each under a minute which was perfect since I was getting ready for work. Quick matches are the best. I still love the long matches but if I can get a few into a short amount of time and come out with a pile of comms Im good with that. Team composition was not much of an issue for me so far. Only once did we not have a tank when I was on my Shadow. We got spanked but that was because the other team had a better composition of players who used their abilities to focus the healer down and keep me out of play for most of the match. I commend them for that. It was 2 Jugs, a PT and a Sorc if I remember right. Since we were targeting the healer the Juggs would force push us (mainly me since it happened to me twice in that match) away from the Sorc. Because of the terrain (the one with the platforms) it worked perfectly and I was shut down from DPSing properly. The last one, the farm on Tatooine was a different case because we slaughtered them and there weren't many places to evade us. All in all, I love the new Arenas and can't wait to try them out on more of my toons to see which ones work best. My Slinger will start getting more PvP love now.
  9. Two stories I'll keep short. 1st one, I decided to dust off my Commando Healer which I had not healed on since I was level 40 or so. I switched to DPS to test it and found out how much I liked it. Anyway, got into Mandalorian Raiders. Guardian Tank was 24k. Knowing that I wasn't going to be the greatest of healers on my 27k Mando, I mentioned that the tank was low geared with only 24K hp. Everyone agreed we all have to start somewhere so I decided to give it a try. Surprisingly we did well. No wipes, no one else grabbed aggro from the tank (he was a good tank just low geared) and I kept everyone toppped off. We get to the last boss and this is where the FAIL starts. Tank goes in and does fine but gets knocked off the ledge when he does his knockback. We wipe. I laugh it off because it happened to me on my Guardian at least once. We go back in and this time the tank either loses aggro or he is standing the wrong way and the boss does his front conal aoe damage and drops me low in health in a span of seconds. I'm furiously trying to heal myself because I'm about to die when the tank dies. Then I die. Then the DPS. And as soon as I mention the conal damage he does the Tank ninja DCs. Never comes back on. So we're thinking he did it on purpose and we're pissed because I have to be at work in 15 minutes and we don't have time to wait for another tank. I was wondering if maybe he thought it was his fault but no one did because he did a great job of tanking even with the low gear he had. It was just one of those newb moments. Anyway, the other story was about a prima-donna tank but I'll tell that another time lol.
  10. I must be selling myself short. I've only done a handful of HM Ops and SM Ops and a few WB. I've been bounced around from guild to guild (my first guild all quit after the game launched) trying to find a guild that offers raiding on regular basis on a toon I want to raid with. Found maybe 2 good ones (dropped one because my wife left and the other I no longer play on that server) Point is, I wish I had all those achievements and I'm probably crazy for still playing the game only running FP's and daily areas. Actually, A LOT of PVP. Hopefully I'll get to the point where I'm tired of the game because I've raided so much and cleared most of it. Until then, I'll continue my grind trying to prove myself. Hope you find a guild to your liking that offers you what your old guild did. A server transfer just may be the thing. Or start your own guild and start guiding people and helping them get into raid shape.
  11. I've also been curious why we get no 'Willpower' or Sage healers in the game. Knight or Warrior class should have at least gotten a healer who uses Willpower. Truthfully, I want another Jedi/Sith Companion. As a BH, Smuggler, Trooper (especially the Trooper), Agent you get companions you can easily gear with hand me down gear. My Force wielding characters have the hardest companions to gear whereas all my Ranged characters are the easiest. And none of them have a single force wielding companion (and no I don't count Tuno). Not game breaking, but still very backwards.
  12. VigDiath

    Hk-51?

Definitely worth to get HK-51. His commentary is hilarious and is DPS is OP! I send him in first and he slaughters mobs.
  13. SM is supposed to be easy. It's listed as a +2 FP. You could have probably just entered the instance and demolished it with 2 people with companions. Ran in HM with a PUG probably 3 times in a row (it was all I got this morning) and we didn't run into any issues except with the last boss in Core Meltdown. We died once and after that figure out what we were doing wrong. Zokar was pretty easy in HM. The droid in the water was about the hardest part in HM. He kept pulling random people into the water and it didn't give the healer enough time to react. However we did not die once during this encounter. TL/DR? SM is +2 and designed to offer a challenge with 2 people going in. Not 4. With 4 you are OP. HM offers a challenge, but it was pretty simple once we understood the mechanics of the encounters.
  14. I probably have 9 level 55 toons. 2 Level 50 toons on another server. 1 Level 53 and one level 51 I'm working on. I have 15 or more who haven't reached 50 sitting across different servers. I've done every class story except Agent which my son leveled to 55 for me (or for himself depending on who you ask), but I have an Operative I'm currently leveling and is up to 26 after 4 months lol. I used the last XP weekends to level my Trooper and Sentinel to 50. I DO NOT want to go back and do all those quests again which is why I rush and enjoy XP weekends when they offer them. If the quests were different each play through I wouldn't mind enjoying the "full experience" time and time again. So far the only planet I enjoy that grind on is Tython since it evokes the feelings I first got when I first started leveling my Shadow when the game started. But more power to people who enjoy the grind. I'd do it again if the quests aside from the story line were different which is what makes it a PITA to do over after doing it on at least 7 toons. I think after my 5 or 6th I just started skipping quests and only doing story line.
  15. I've read pretty much all of those including the second list. I love them all. Personally, my recommendations would be: Tales of the Jedi (this is where I got my start and has some of the best history of the ancient Jedi and Sith) Legacy (Skywalker legacy with some great reveals - also contains a story arc (Vector) spanning 4 different comics) Knights of the Old Republic (this is my personal favorite since it's set in the time of Revan and Malak) Dark Times (set right after Order 66 it follows Jedi who each have made their own path and has some surprises) Rebellion (another good one) Knight Errant (a female hero finally! Kerra Holt is pretty awesome!) So many more I could suggest but like I said these are personal favorites. As for where to get them..Things from Another World is an awesome site someone mentioned. I get mine from a local store (Emerald City Comics in Clearwater or Seminole) or from TFAW.
  16. Haven't done any content with Treek yet but I'm looking forward to it. I'll use her as a Healer for my Shadow and Tank for my Sage. Didn't have time to mess with the Tauntaun mount quest yet. It looks like there are 2 options to get one? Pay uber credits or go to a nest. I need a guide for this lol. I LOVE how they made a Cartel Bazaar for all the new stuff being offered in this latest update. The whole area has a nice vibe to it. Very 'Star Warsy" imo. Finally a hat for my Bounty Hunter reminiscent of Cad Bane. I've wanted that since he hit level 50. Tonight I will be banging out some of the Czerka quests. Did a few on the PTS and enjoyed them so hopefully tonight I can dedicate a few hours into it on one of my toons. Great job with the recent updates BW. Looking forward to getting my feet wet in the coming weeks especially with the Bounty Contract system. Now we need Pazaak tables and swoop racing to give it more of a Star Wars feel. My smuggler is tired of fighting and wants to relax a bit lol.
  17. Got Treek and can't wait to run thru a few missions with her. Might be a while since I don't readily have Trooper gear just sitting around on my Shadow but I have Cybertech on 2 toons and it shouldn't take long to make her some 66's.
  18. I have to agree. I don't want to retire my Shadow, but it's looking like I may have to. Especially since I have a Guardian and a PT that can withstand more of a beating than my Shadow can when tanking and my Gunslinger and Guardian can out dps my Shadow when I spec DPS. I was never one for Infiltration but I've played it and it does good damage but nothing compared to other classes. I was always about the Balance spec if I wasn't tanking. Balance right now is a joke. Set up is too long for the price you pay in force spent and lackluster DPS. If they don't want to give us back Shadow Strike as part of our rotation, I'm fine with that. But they need to make it so that FiB hits harder (either through a proc or a talent) and have other abilities that benefit. None of that BS about the last 30% being where we really shine. My Gunslinger in Sabotage shines for an entire fight.
  19. Juggernaut for the win. You have two options. Rage, which does great AOE damage and Vengeance that does great single target damage and respectable AOE damage. I'm biased more toward Juggs/Guardians even though I have a Marauder and a Sentinel and 2 guardians but on different servers. With Juggs, you get great dps abilities only slightly less DPS than a Marauder (although in the right hands a Jugg can out-dps a Marauder). One of the things I love about my Guardian is I get force push which Marauders/Sentinels don't get. There's definitely plenty of pluses to having a Marauder but never count a Jugg down either. You get heavy armor, force scream that hits hard when procced, force push (which I love in PvP), the iconic 1 saber look which is more in line with the movies and books (think Darth Vader, Darth Sidious, Darth Bane, Dooku etc) and awsome CDs...theres more but it's better to experience than talk about. I won't lie, I love my Marauder and Sentinel but to me Guardians and Juggernauts are ripped right from the movies and books whereas you only see a couple of dual-wielding Jedi or Sith.
  20. So it really only sounds like the difference between Marr and Malgus is that Marr waited until he was sure the Emperor was dead while Malgus made a power play before it was confirmed. This, coupled with the Councils own suspicious nature cause Malgus to fail. I would consider both Malgus and Marr to be patriots of the Empire seeing as they were the only Sith who acted to ensure it's survival. Malgus just went about it wrong.
  21. There's actually a few outfits that male companions can wear that show bare chest...I have one on my Jedi Guardian and the Relaxed set works for male or females and I have that on 2 of my toons.
  22. You can go Vengeance or Rage but Vengeance would probably be the preference for most. Rage is good for AOE but once you get to Elite bosses in your class missions that hit hard and have high HP Vengeance is perfect for it's single target DPS.
  23. This reminded me of a horrible run I had with my Shadow when I first started Tanking on Shadowlands. I was in horrible gear (PvP Tank/DPS gear and maybe some Columi gear). I had found out the meaning of LoS on a previous run in Maelstrom Prison. The tank at the time said he would LoS the final boss to another room where the adds would not reach us (before they fixed it). So when I do the same run as a Tank a few days later I figured I'd do the same thing... However the DPS decided to follow me and engaged the boss right there despite me telling him to keep running. So now I'm trying to get aggro and AOE taunt and get the bosses attention and the turrets for the moment until the droids come out...I'm still trying to "LoS" to the other room but the DPS is not having it and keeps grabbing aggro from me. I notice I'm almost full health and both DPS are low and the healer is telling me I did not taunt at the right time in chat lol. I get booted and scarred from the experience and only PvP for the next few months while leveling a Guardian. I'm glad LoS now is more common knowledge though and when I say it people stay put for the most part. (I still have DPS who think I need to be followed instead of staying put. )
  24. You sir have more patience than me....I would have let him keep aggro after the 2nd time and then once he died (and we all wiped) I would have left. You should have put him on blast on General Chat after that run though. That's a do*che to get enjoyment out of causing a group to wipe. Don't care if he was in a pissy mood
  25. I'm a horrible healer on my Sage but somewhat better on my Sorc with lower gear (both 55). Don't ask me why. In either case, I wouldn't want myself healing my own Tanks in a FP let alone an Ops where mechanics are harder...And yet...I manage to keep people alive on my Sage and my Sorc. I think it's more of an issue of people panicking when DPS takes damage and they don't have the tank topped off and they sit there trying to figure out who should have priority with the next heals. Or get so low in force they start panicking. Anyway, I prefer Sorc/Sage heals in FPs and Ops or Operative heals if they know what they are doing. Any class can heal though and do it well as long as they put in the practice so it's possibly more of a L2P issue.
