I agree. I hate what DK did with the Exile and Revan. He basically watered them down and made them weaker versions of themselves. Unacceptable.

I've biased so I will agree with the above. Shadow/Assassin tanks are awesome and get a range of abilities. Stealth, CC, double-bladed lightsabers, the ability to re-stealth in the heat of battle (an awesome ability in end game FPs and Ops it allows you to rez allies who have fallen), the ability to lift 2 or more when you're fighting multiple mobs or enemies, a stun, a knockdown, a knock back etc, etc...the list goes on and on. Whenever I'm on my Guardian it makes me miss some of the abilities of my Shadow lol. Great class tho...

This one has my vote for worst group. How do you fail on such an epic scale on a SM (lowbie) FP?

I've seen Satele fight. Unless she's mastered the art of holding back, then she really needs to work on her dueling skills. She makes Shadows look bad I would go with The Hero of Tython (and not just because I have 3 toons who hold that title)

For a healer Surge is what you want. I use those on my Sorc and Sage and the healing difference is there. Sometimes I'll use the Power adrenal which also increases your heals. It may seem small, but every little heal you can eke out over a 5 minute boss fight helps. I normally pop my adrenals a few moments into a fight if not right away and half way thru the fight. It depends on the boss really and whether I notice the tank taking a lot of damage at the start of a fight. On my Tanks...those adrenals make ALL THE DIFFERENCE! And they help the healer so he/she does not have to struggle with heals. For my Tanks I go with the Absorb or Armor increase adrenals. And my DPS I rarely use em but I will for some boss fights where a lot of DPS is needed. Again it'll be Surge or Power. All of that is in addition to the relics I use as well. Overall, you should be using adrenals. Early on for lowbie fights it may not matter as much, but for end game raiding, some guilds will not let you raid without them. Especially boss fights where every little bit of DPS/Heals helps.

So far running HMs on my Tanks (Guardian & Shadow) my tank loot drops have been: 2 Black Market Tank chest pieces for Guardians (On my Guardian) 3 Black Market bracers for Shadows (on my Shadow) 1 Black Market bracers for Guardian (on my Guardian - this was today) A slew of Organge mod-able gear with blue armorings/mods/enhancements that I was able to upgrade or give to a comp All of those I needed on because it was tank gear unless I already had it Everything else that I've won from rolls has been DPS/Healer gear and on my Healer I got a pair of boots for a Trooper/BH tank.

Wrong terminology but I'm sure most but those with a low IQ understood my point. When the servers merged way back when, 3 of my toons on Shadowlands had to be re-named. My actual name when I decided to re-roll on Jedi Covenant (LaRon) was strangely enough taken as well.

There is a desire for anything Star Wars related IMO. I know I would definitely watch it. I've seen quite a few of them over the years that I've enjoyed.

It happened to me with server transfers. A few of my names had to be changed.

Scoundrel/Operative heals can be killed easily. Especially the bad ones. The good ones you are going to be scratching your head wondering *** just happened. I had an AH match maybe 2 weeks ago. I don't remember which toon I was on, all I remember was the Scoundrel and Guardian tank duo we could not take down for crap. 3-4 of us beating on the scoundrel while the Guardian prevented the cap only to have the scoundrel down to about 20-30% health and then she rolled/stealthed (we followed) and then she came back was fully healed and healing the tank again. That happened maybe 3 times in a row. We'd be so close to killing her and then she'd follow the same routine and be back to preventing us from capping. Not saying that Scoundrels are impossible to kill but that one was on beast mode. And I will say that this particular healer is a great healer in most of the PvPs I've been in.

Since I have 3 complaint posts in this thread I thought I'd post a good example of a FP run for a change. Had a HM Athiss before work this morning. Me on my Shadow tanking, a Sage healer, a Sentinel and a Commando. Every pull was perfect. I'd go up and CC an Elite (no one gave me crap about these being easy fights so there is no need for a CC as often happens) and position myself for the pull and everything is smooth running. Each. And. Every. Pull. Kited the big akk dog boss to the cave, healer followed and DPS were waiting patiently and no issues. Killed the bonus boss. They asked me where I wanted them and where I'd tank. I walked to the wall, put my back to it and they hopped on the opposite side of me. Again, fight went without a hitch. No aggro pulls from the Sentinel or Commando and no picking up stray mobs. Healer kept my health above 70%, if not higher, for most of the encounters. In fact, I don't recall any of the other DPS dropping below a certain percentage either. Last boss, which some people have issues with (including me when I heal it) again...my health stayed above 70%n and I even asked the healer how he made it look so easy lol. He lol'd of course in between heals. I didn't even have to heal after the fight was done. I was fully topped off. So were the dps and the healer. There was 1 issue, tho not an issue really. I always select greed when loot drops unless I know someone else needs it then I select pass. Well I selected greed and probably got like 4 loot drops. I felt like I was being greedy so I offered it to them but no one needed it. All in all, one of the best runs I've had. Thanks to the group I ran with on Jedi Covenant this morning.

I love reading these. I've got another to add unfortunately. After months of running my Guardian in Vigilance form and not getting queues to pop fast enough for me to gear him, I decided to switch for the Defense tree. No problem there since I've used him to tank before but not often. So I got him fully geared after a wk or so make Armorings, Mods, Earpieces etc on my other toons. So Thursday I'm ready to go. 1st run was a test run, so I ran level 50 HMs, maybe 2, to get into the swing of things. Went off without a hitch. (I was nervous because I only Tank on my Shadow mostly) So I decide to queue for level 55 HM. I'm wiping up trash mobs with no real issues. I may lose aggro for a moment but I've saved all my taunts just in case. Only issue was the healer would aggro the mobs to keep things going fast paced. Well, he was with a guild mate so I figured it wouldn't be so bad and it actually wasn't. Next run, Athiss. This is where the issue comes into play. We have a Guardian DPS, a Sage Healer and a Smuggler all from the same guild. I say hey to everybody. 1 person responds. No issues. As we're going I ask if we're picking up bonus. Only person responds, so I keep going and proceed to mow down every trash mob I see. We get to a point where things got sticky but no one dies...The guardian Saber threw before me and got aggro and I got it back but the mob was spread so I notice the dps taking more damage. Whatever, I adjust and throw guard on dps while fighting. Because I didn't want to wipe I tell them to CC golds (the fat elite Sorcs). The first time they do and we do well. I mark the next one say CC marked target. They ignore me. Whatever no one died. I say cc marked again and this time it's the 2 Sorcs standing on opposite sides. They ignore me. This time Slinger dies and the Guardian is close to dying. Meanwhile I'm fighting the furthest gold and the guardian is fighting the one I asked to be CC'd. We get through it and I ask them to CC gold again. lolnope. At least they listened when I told them to wait while I kited boss to the cave lol. Fast forward to the tomb fights. Being impatient they try running past the Sorcs/Assassins and aggro the warriors. This happened twice lol. You would think they would wait for tank because the guardians health was dropping quickly. Whatever. In the end, we struggled through the boss with only the Slinger dying from standing in the purple circles even tho I'd kite to another side every time the circles appeared. For my first time tanking on my Guardian in 2.0+ I felt I did well. Now to move on to my PowerTech

My Smuggler is my only Twi'lek and she has the Cowboy brimmed hat so no issues there. I would like to be able to position them around her shoulders however. This is a cosmetic change I would love. Since everything regarding appearance is in the CM I'd pay for the look on her too.

I have one of those horrible schedules that kills time with my family but leaves me a lot of time during the day to play. Mon-Wed and Fri I work evenings. Thursdays off and get all day to play but I fit in time to take my kids to the park or at least for a walk after school. And Saturdays I work days so my weekends consist of me trying to get out of the house and keep me and my wife off the game But we're normally back home by 7pm to raid. We don't go out much except to catch a movie, visit friends, take the kids out to dinner or something they want to do. Only other thing I do is play basketball, jog and trying to get back into my workout routine. I would say it's possible to play this game, have a full time job, a family, time for friends and family and still have fun. On average, I get about 30 hours a week or more. Edit: Oh and after work...I pvp which is the best stress reliever.

Mad. I'm stuck at work until 10pm lurking on the forums wishing I was at home playing. When I walk away from my desk, if you even mention Star Wars, I come back to my desk and check the forums. When I'm at home I seriously have to break up my time so that I'm somewhat productive during the day.

I may give that a try but I've gone full overkill and watch health meters drop.

I want to level my toons on POT5 just for this even. I have 2 toons just languishing on the server at level 10.

I wish McDonald's delivered to my door step so that way I could get all fat and lazy in the comfort of my own home without anyone complaining about my smell. Instead, I realized there food is making me smelly and lazy and there would be no point in getting it because using just that much exercise means I using too many muscles as is and I'd rather jog than get fat and lazy and smelly. Point is? There is none. Although I do keyboard turn and I hate all those people running around me in circles because I haven't learned to bind my mouse yet.

You would think that with all the different guild members posting in here (at least from what I see of the sigs) that it wouldn't be hard to get RWZs going on this server. Either way, I'd love to get some Rateds going.

it's funny...I have co-workers constantly asking me when I'll stop playing SWTOR and finish ME3 or try a new game. The answer is always the same. This is the only STAR WARS game on the market that I enjoy. The rest are NOT Star Wars. I tried LOTRO for a bit...twice. Didn't like it compared to this game. I even tried STO. Not for me and I am a HUGE Star Trek fan. I even created a Bajoran with a lengthy background. I played for a few hours and was right back to SWTOR. I won't say there are not any games that catch my eye. Elder Scrolls Online is one. I signed up for BETA and will probably test it to see if it's something I like. That's probably the only one. There's a reason for that. I'm not an MMO type of person. I'm not into PC games. I love my console (Xbox 360 and soon Xbox One). If this game closed down tomorrow, I'd finish ME3 and then play 1 -3 again and probably KoTOR 1 & 2 and then play all the Need for Speed and racing games I've missed out on because of this. As for what I'd like to see....I cannot count the times I've posted asking for more mini games. Swoop racing. Pazaak. Player Bounties. And more class content. I know they (BioWare & EA) think they have reached the end of the line with class stories, but I haven't. It was the biggest draw for me (aside from it being Star Wars ) and I'd be sad if they do not decide to continue with class stories. You want me to pay for another expansion? Give me a new planet solely for my Shadow and my Knight class. I new planet for my Marauder and Assassin to conquer. Even my Smuggler...we had this great space station where smugglers were welcome...I have no clue why we can't use that as a staging ground. Give me that and I'll be happy. And more WZs and FPs and Ops on a more regular basis. Not this reworked releveled BS they gave us. Oh, I love Mandalorian Raiders and Cademimu. But we need more.

Problem is PTs at one point were able to spam 3 buttons and watch someones health drop to 0. Now you have to actually work for it and follow a rotation (although really I load up with dots on the front end and finish em off on the back end) to get a kill. I love this class TBH. I finally got mine to 50 during the XP weekends and 55 a few weeks ago so I'm still learning the class but I love chasing healers around in WZs and having their tanks or dps follow me around trying to peel. As for 1 on 1 kills...that's pretty damned fun too. You get the Sentinel or Guardian/Jugg and even the Shadow who thinks you are an easy kill and just burn em down. I have no clue why but it happens EVERY SINGLE HUTTBALL match. Bads who want the easy kill but wind up getting mopped up across the battleground every time. And then try to run...thats hilarious to me. I pull em right back to finish em off. Really this is a fun class and even with the recent nerf I can still top the WZs in damage with this class. And I'm seeing other PTs do the same thing. I'm sure some are in the middle tree but I love Pyro and will give the other tree a try to see how well it plays.

yeah shields and generators are the only thing you can RE for components. Also Cybertech allows you to RE earpieces to get mk-9 components.
