  1. I think a lot of the issue is confusion over what ranked solo queue really is, and this is very much BW's fault. There should be a gear minimum and maybe even a valor minimum to queue for ranked. To pvpers, solo ranked is supposed to be the real top tier pug, but its more scrubs than hardcores right now. Im hoping the riffraff gets bored and goes back to pve or other games again soon so solo ranked can be the good matches it should be.
  2. I can't find a way to trick the matchmaking system into thinking i'm a tank when i'm not. In the wisdom of Cartman: "screw yoo giiiieeezzz, i'm going hiyome!"
  3. If WOW was so great they wouldnt have lost 90% of their players. Mimicking a failed game that is still trying to continue their fail is not really a good strategy (Wow just put out a new expansion, right?) What MMO PVP needs is something new, innovative, insightful and with HEAVILY ACTIVE DEVS THAT DO ONLY THAT AS THEIR JOB. Class balance should always be evolving. Then take the PTS server when its not live beta and launch cross server pvp ladder tournaments. Charge 100 cartel coins per entry. 1st place gets 50% of the coins as a prize, 2nd gets 30%, 3rd gets 20%. Do a tournament like that often. Make something other than WOW that appeals to the affluent 25-35 age gamers rather than the younger people that dont have as much readily expendable income.

    How high is your power, how high is your aim? It's highly possible my biggest hits happen against scrubs without 2018 expertise. I usually look to see if they have 30k+ health since that's at least some indicator of gear level.

    Tell ya what, i will probably play my merc again soon and will screenshot a big rail hit for ya :-) I havent really enjoyed the merc much in arenas though. Not sustainable vs. my 7 other class choices that almost all do more sustainable dps (though only sniper or mara can really spike like a merc). I do love that kolto missile though :-)
  7. I havent had a quitter yet. If this is s constant problem for you, you might just be really unlucky (unless your gear blows). A lot of noobs are polluting solo ranked in junk gear or their pve gear. It will be like that for a while. But leaving an arena is stupid. They go so fast. I dont think ive had one where it lasted more than a few minutes per round. Even when a stealther tries to grief, catch him and gank him. Ezmode.

  9. Matchmaking works. You were winning so much that they started pairing you with scrubs so you get forced down to mediocrity again. And really i think if the enemy team had a bad like him, and they probably did, the matchmaking worked.

    Arsenal with the 5 buff stack against a squishy with 76% crit multiplier plus the suit bonus... spike is what arsenal mercs do best because you can wear somebody down with tracer and unload then hit with explosive dart that detonates at the same time as heatseeker followed by a reliable rail shot finisher. I would be very sad if i hit somebody for only 5k with it... i mean unless they were a tank that i didnt put tracer missile on i guess.

  12. There are many well-known methods to create glitches intentionally involving clipping bugs and other various bugs i won't go into details of. If you pvp in this game for hours a day you learn them by unfortunate mistake or by seeing some idiot intentionally exploit them. Some glitches that are easy to create (most in voidstar) trap the exploiter in a spot where they shoot but can't be shot. The only way out is /stuck, which should be done immediately. Some people in one of those glitches will not /stuck suicide. Instead they sit there shooting the door while immune to any enemy attacks. Filing a ticket on these very well-known glitches doesnt get them fixed. I'm gonna give the devs credit where due, i havent found a single glitch in arenas yet. That deserves some appreciation.

    I noticed an average per hit of around ~8500 instead of ~8000 using arsenal setup. Its estimation though but that means probably in the range of 2-3% change pre-RNG. I don't know what an average pyro merc rail shot hits for because i go arsenal or heal (and we're gonna have a rough match if i'm merc healing)

    It would be nearly impossible for them to make pyro merc stronger in arenas without making it devastating in warzones. Please think about the actual impact of changes before you ask for them. I know its fun throwing fire on everybody, but arsenal is just better.
  15. Throwing your single target taunt on a dps that's not hitting you, like a sentinel or sniper, is a great way to help your team if you are a dps assassin. In arenas this is very important since a 4-man group really needs to be 4 players utilizing their entire skill set. In my opinion, the assassin that did a million damage but no protection in a warzone was not a very good assassin. Taunts between attacks are very important in a team battle.
