  1. I told my team we needed to control the mid more and someone LOL'd And then we lost 0 to 6. Not one score. I made it into the end zone once or twice. Had a pass that made it in to end zone but no one was in the middle when they scored and thats how we lost.
  2. Since 1.2 Shadows have been nerfed enough!!! No more! If you're gonna nerf anyone, like someone else mentioned nerf a freaking PT! I had 50% health left against one a few days ago and he burned me down 1v1 in no time with just 1-2 moves. As a Shadow I do good in PvP but not that damn good lol. I did better before the 1.2 update but now my stats are all over the place. 1 game I'll have 11-12 comms and the next 1. Now TBH I do mostly PUGs but I've always done that and had no problem winning and getting comms. I keep guard up everytime a healer or DPS comes close enough, taunt anyone in my vicinicty and taunt individuals going after my healer constantly. Knockdown and any other CC when it's on CD and the player doesn't have a full resolve bar.
  3. I have a noob story about myself moreso than others. New to the game and MMOs in general I was still trying to figure out the interface. As I'm going on a mission, I right click my character picture and start going through options and one is the toggle pvp option. Not knowing what it was I turned it on and quickly turned it back off before I did something stupid. I still didn't understand what it did so I kept going on about my mission on Tatooine when I notice a BH with his companion. I notice he's red when I click on him but I decide to ignore him. As I stealth past him (not just him but other npcs my Shadow wasnt ready to fight) I get aggro on his companion and within seconds I'm burned down! Mad as hell, I decide to just keep going and stealth again. This time I get far from him but my companion (Qyzen) is still lagging behind and this time Qyzen attacks them!! I was sooo pissed but this time I tried to fight and again got burned down within seconds lol. This time the guy/girl follows me and attacks me again lol. I'd say this happened again about 2 more times before I managed to stealth away from and stay hidden for a few minutes.
  4. ****Spoiler**** Well it seems we already see the Sith in-fighting going on in the game. Once you get to Ilum it becomes more evident especially with Malgus working with the Republic to further his goals. Everything on Ilum indicates the republic wins. You take out Malgus who would be most likely for sucession in the war if the Emp is taken out. The JK story also seems to be taking you to a confrontation with the Emp which if he does, chances are the Emp will be destroyed. So all in all, it looks like the Jedi and the Republic win this round.
  5. Makes sense...that way you get more Willpower and keep a certain level of endurance?
  6. I was reading one of the earlier posts where someone said you should gear for DPS as a tank in PvP. Makes sense to me cause you would cause more damage that way. I always come out with a huge amound of medals (when we win of course with the recent changes), but I'm rarely ever first in damage. Only in protection. My question is this: As a Shadow Tank who uses mostly Survivor gear, it sounds like I should be using the Stalker gear then right? Or should I just go all out and get the Force Master gear? Just wondering because I hate the idea of losing all of my Endurance stats. Right now Im mostly in BM Survivor gear with a few Champ pieces and some Rakata and Columi pieces added in.
  7. After reading this guide and watching the videos Im thinking of rolling another Shadow to help out when my wife starts! Also gonna chnge my talent tree again to see if it helps in battles cause I need the help in long Boss battles.
  8. Noob here when it comes to MMO lingo...but what are Dots? I keep seeing that term.
  9. I actually got the same system as the OP. I had a few options to choose from myself but in the end, despite the price this seemed like the best choice for me. I was looking at 2 custom builds. CyberPower and Ibuypower. Also ZT systems but their gpus were underpowered. I also am not into building pcs. I In the end the price for everything came up to about $1000 to $1200. The deciding factor for me was reviews and the fact that I work in the warranty dept of my company and we have covered both manufacturers. Plus I work with guys who worked for IBM and Dell and hate them but still said their systems were built to last.. My current laptop runs Swtor ok for something with an integrated gpu, and dual core processors. (HP G-series), and This is after turning shadows off. I'm not expecting a high level gaming rig like I could have gotten since I'm not much of a pc gamer. I am more of a console guy myself.. But the X51 should do what I need it to do.
  10. Level 41 Shadow here. I did find that early on in the levels you're at tanking was much harder. Solo quests against elites had me throwing my hands up cause I'd get an enemy down to a sliver of health and he'd somehow beat me still. I used and continue to use Theran ALOT for healing and stunning enemies with his holo chick. I use stun every time it cools down if that fight is long enough, I use endurance stims on every boss, combat stance, guard, call upon force or whatever its called for Consulars, right as my health starts going down and a Med pack right after. I rotate between project, telekinetic throw, double strike, mind snap and attack only when the others are cooling down. At this point I've been fighting two elites at once if I CC the other and bring the other down in health considerably so that when one comes out of CC I'm almost done with one and can focus on the other. Hope this helps or you find a strategy that works for you.
  11. What level are you? It always pays to be at least one to 2 levels higher than your class boss. I believe Tarnis is 14-16 so you should be in that range or above. Since you haven't posted anything I'm assuming you beat him already. If so Congrats. He was hard when I beta tested but easier this last time around.
