  1. Lol, I usually charge said group not to see if I can kill one, but to see how long I can stay alive. I will always try and prevent that 3rd cap and if they do trio us, I will try and get one back. If we are less then 100 and they have *insert random huge number here* I will encourage the other team to try and three cap and have nice huge battles on the snow or grass (or the rare occasions when it's mid, on the concrete). Different shades of victory for everyone.
  2. *ahem* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *cough* sorry.... OP yeah, I feel your pain though I will admit to joining warzones on both my lowbie (sub 14 at the time) maurader and operative. key phrase there being AC names. Joining a warzone before you even pick an AC is.....just....wrong. Heck, one time on my maurader I even told everyone not to pass me the ball because I was squishy and didn't have sprint....then I remembered we were playing Civil War....and I got laughed at. One or two isn't too bad, but when I see three or four I usually resign myself to a loss. Yes, the bolster system helps them, but the fact remains they don't have the skills their higher level counterparts will have, so while they fight hard with the abilities they do have, they just won't be as effective. Wow...run on sentance crits you for 9,000 damage. The corrilary to that...I have no fix. Adding more brackets would only enlongate que times and lead to more frustration. Maybe, at least, give each AC (AC, choose a damn class fool) their basic abilities and not ones from the skill trees. that way everyone would at least have more functionality (and sprint).
  3. Ahh the power of forum necromancy. I actually wish I could go back even further to some of the beta testing forums, those would be some interesting necro reads.
  4. not in American football. In football (soccer to us colonial chaps) there are indeed forwards. I'm not going to post my opinions here, because I've posted them many other times in different threads. the devs have said there will be specific warzone que'ing in the future, if you can't wait that long I'm sorry. Though I will add....seriously? Of all the things wrong with this game you could complain about, one warzone being tuned to certain classes is the one you focus on?

We have a few like that on my server but it's gotten to the point where we recognize them and work to counter them. Seperate/focus/etc. though OP, you may want to edit out your post. The mods have a tendancy to delete anything with another player's name in it whether it's good or bad.
  6. I'll sign the "enjoy the PVP" petition.... though I will stay away from the OP (he scares me a little)
  7. Counter Argument: Cover in Voidstar is too strong. If I'm defending the doors and a sniper/gunslinger goes into cover and starts shooting me, I can't (as a melee) beat him without leaving my post, which leaves it open for someone to get a bomb planted. That's not fair to someone like me who has only one ranged attack above 10 meters. So tell ya what, you can have them removing a set of class abilities in Huttball if cover mechanics stop working in Voidstar. What's that? It's sounds silly to limit what a class can do because another class has difficulty with it? Specially since with teamwork and tactics it can be overcome? Yeah...nuff said. And before you say it's two entirely different things, think on this. You say it's unfair for me as a Jugg, to have an enemy leap and a friendly leap while carrying the ball. I say it's unfair to be unable to stop a ranged character from killing me while guarding a door because they can hide behind a chest high wall. Both situations are tactically sound (me for leaping the gunslinger for using cover) and are both being used in the manner they are intended for. Every class has an advantage in a certain situation. It just so happens that in Huttball, leaps and pulls are the advantage. Gunslingers/snipers have the advantage in Voidstar. Talented healers have the advantage everywhere. Smurfs have the advantage in tall grass. All this hate over one warzone of (soon to be) four. You know, come to think of it, if this is the biggest issue the game has, it must be doing something right. Or everyone is tired of all the other wrong stuff being "discussed" and are looking for something different.
  8. That used to be me. The idiot who simply charged the glowing line of light coming towards my endzone and getting rofllept to every time. Then you know what happened? I learned how to play. Now, I simply run to where the guy carrying the ball can't target me for a leap. They stay in the pit and the DPS on my team slaughters them. Yes, I'm speaking from experiance being the Jugg who used to leap onto people. Honestly, learn the counters for the moves. Can't find any counters, think of one. So many people want things handed to them on silver platters now, it's not funny.
  9. I'm going to say....no. The player's leaping/being pulled/etc. are a form of tactics that use in game mechanics to their advantage. How do you counter this? By using other forms of in game mechanics. That Jugg just lept to the ledge, knock him back. That sorc running fast? Stun him. Just be smart with your stuns, don't fill the resolve bar until you are in a position to knock him back somewhere or pull him back with a grapple. Yes, new people to Huttball do like to hunt after kills and don't pay attention to where the ball is. Us more experienced players will stun/slow/or otherwise hamper the movement of people in the center to prevent them from interfering with the ball carrier. Stealth forces a dropped ball simply because the person stealthed cannot be targeted. You can leap all over the map as a Jugg but you will still be hit by enemy fire. If you stealth with the ball, it's a free score and would make the game highly unfair.
  10. so....after looking at that screen shot I have to ask....does no one protect anyone on your server?
  11. you should be able to que as a group and the eight man que'ing won't be included in 1.2 but rather sometime "soon"
  12. Bioware....why? Why not add the effects in to the older stuff retroactively? Apparently many people were hoping for this (me included) and you say you listen to the players...so listen to us now. Delay the launch of 1.2 and implement this. Please.
  13. Also, it has been stated that there are a bunch of new objective based medals going live in 1.2. So probably scoring a goal in huttball might reward one, stopping a person from planting a bomb in VS might. Anyone have any actual PTS info on the new medals?
  14. Unicorn is, he has stated many times that Juggs are worthless and horrible at DPS and tanking. Personally, I don't think he knows much or even anything about the class, specially in tank stance with tank armor. Yes, tank specs will lose 1v1. So what. In warzones the objectives are team based, not individual based. I can still hold a turret or door for quite a while by myself until help arrives. No, you know what. I'm not going to defend the class because well, I don't need to. It play's just fine. Have fun with the QQ, Peace.
  15. You know, after reading this thread, I have to say *sniff, sniff* you guys make me so proud. After months and months (ok like three months) of people saying Jugg sucks in PVP, tanks suck in pvp, blah, blah, blah, I come here and see all kinds of people saying the things I've been saying for a while now. I salute you all, fellow tank pvp juggs. I salute you all.
  16. hmm at the risk of being flamed....I like the Warrior PVP look. Specially the blue unranked....
  17. I heard that rumor too about dailies needing medals, but I can't find anything in the 1.2 patch notes on the PTS. Here's hoping.
  18. seriously? same faction warzones is an unsubscribable offense? I mean, I could see the "hardcore" PVP'er wanting to quit because of no world PVP but this? All because you might get rear end hurt over another person stabbing you with a lightsaber then fighting along side them in the next warzone? This is just silly. If you want a roleplaying reason for the same warzones it's being said it's a training excercise. If you aren't a roleplayer, just have fun, play the damn game. Try this, next time you get outmatched by a same faction player, tell them "good fight" and thank them for the distraction from lack of end game content. Honestly, people, it's a game, have fun and stop with the useless whining about stuff that allows more people to play more often.
  19. to paraphrase the above quote obvious troll is obvious see what I did there. Back to topic at hand, I agree OP the reppies (specially Jedi's of the Guardian variety) do need a clothing update. Thankfully once 1.2 hits you can take out all the mods on your PVP gear and put them in any gear you choose....which essentially means hooded capes over sea shell shoulder pads, but it's better than the space samauri wannbe look.
  20. and yet on my server the reppies dominate the imps.... honestly...what the guy above me said..
  21. ....what? Even the hybrid specs use a shield offhand. The only ones who don't are the ones who are pure DPS. Juggs aren't serious tanks? Really? That's strange....I could have sworn I was doing a pretty good job tanking in warzones.. so....what you are saying is when I guard someone, I'll die because you attack them and in fact I'll die faster than them. And you told someone else they have no idea about Juggs. Juggs (in fact all tank guards) only take a percentage of damage away from the guarded target. Our taunts simply reduce damage done to any target not us. They do not redirect damage to us. So if you (mara of the gods) are attacking say...a sniper that I have guarded and only the sniper, you will kill the sniper first before I take enough damage to die. Only it will take alot more effort on your part to kill him. Provided of course, neither the sniper or I are attacking you back. Seriously, get off your high horse and learn about the class. Yeah, mara's do more damage than DPS juggs, but Juggs can bring a hell of a lot more to the table.
  22. Honestly? Because BW thought it would be a good idea and immersive to have your ship enter and leave. Good idea yes, poor implamentation. Also, I have not read the rest of the replies in this thread so if someone has said this already...hey look, you've just been seconded.
  23. I'm going to say something in between. Honestly success or failure is too early at this point in time. Did the game come out too early. Possibly. Does it have problems. Yes. Am I having fun playing it. Also yes. I understand that doesn't work for some people. It does for me (and apparently quite a few people on my server) so, yeah I'm looking forward to the future.
  24. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say....no. Guardians and Juggs are targetted alot because they are melee....yes and no. Mostly the are targetted alot because they prevent damage to other players like the healer. If you are getting CC'd alot it's because the other team thinks you are doing your job. So now you have two or three people focusing on keeping you locked down, that's two or three people who are not helping their team giving you a numbers advantage. Warzones, they are not a solo experiance, they are a team experiance. Your job, as the Guardian or Jugg is to MAKE them focus on you, so your team can act somewhat freely. Does it always work, no. Does it work enough to matter, yes. TL;DR Keep the resolve levels between melee and range the same.
