  1. I am a roleplayer and I think this ability is awesome. Ok, bear with me here, my smugglar, born to a Sith family is force sensitive. He goes to Korriban to train and during his training, takes a lightsaber to the face. He's got the scar, the missing eye, the cybernetic implants. While recovering from his injury he decides that this isn't the life he wants, so he jumps ship. He manages to eke out a measly existance as a smugglar of little renown until his . He's force sensative and has had some training. Now, with this game mechanic, he can actually use a force ability or two while solo'ing to better increase my immersion. The best part...you don't want your character to have these abilities, don't use them or even better, don't put them on your hotbars. They are optional and you will never see them in raids/ops/pvp warzones. will there be some "rp'ers" who will use this to "god mode". Yes. Then again, what is stopping these people from doing that anyway. tl;dr as a roleplayer, I can make it work for me, if you don't like it, don't use it.
  2. so....let me get this straight....my smugglar, cybernetic...scar and eyepatch....who recieved it while on Korriban training to be a sith.....cause he comes from a sith family....decided that the brutality and deceit of the sith was not for him...strikes out on his own and becomes a mostly good with flashes of dark smugglar....cannot exist because you don't like the idea. did you know when EQ2 came out everyone made such a big (happy) deal about any race able to be any class for their faction? In EQ you could never have an ogre wizard. The devs decided to open up the game to allow more diversification and it was very well recieved. did you know in City of Heroes/Villains that with a recent game update they are allowing any class (called AT or arch type over there) to be any faction now, good or evil. It was very well recieved. did you know that when WoW released one of their expansions it allowed a class normally not available to that faction to be played, so Horde and Alliance each got something that was normally restricted to the opposing side. It was very well recieved. I have now given you three previous examples of developers opening up their content to allow greater diversity in player customization, by three different developers no less. I'm sorry you have never seen "it" before, but it has been done and has been well recieved. You don't like it, don't make a character of the species you don't like for your class. You don't agree with the every twenty minute and only with a companion watered down ability you might get from a previous 50...don't use it. Personaly, I think it's a great idea. Let me use my imagination more in my characters and stop being cookie cutter.
  3. ....seriously? Give one side (the side that wins more often then not on my server BTW) a new race or even a better pvp mechanic? No wait, let's look at that one line right there....You want the reppies to have a definitive advantage over the imps because there are more of them on your server. You want to cheat. Yeah, a buff if you have less team mates then the opposing faction is one thing but you want a better mechanic to favor you. Also...everything you mention would be ACTIVELY trying to push players towards playing Republic side. Nothing passive about it, changing the game (even in adding outfits as an incentive) is active. Honestly, the reppies win more than they lose on my server (mirror imbalances and gun's firing twice aside) and you don't hear me complaining or asking for an unfair advantage. Actually you will hear me asking to remove the expertise stat....but according to the summit that ain't happening. What? I want to try my skill against others without being dependant on gear.
  4. This. The amount of times they came out and said, "we screwed it up, we know this, we're sorry, and we're working on fixing it as soon as possible" was amazing.
  5. Oh good, my sith warrior can mail legacy items to my Jedi.
  6. No, I agree. A trooper using force choke is just....silly.
  7. wait, my son distracted me....in game money or RL money?
  8. Humans get a buff to a stat that only affects companions and has no use in operations or PVP.
  9. though I do like the fact that it requires a companion to use
  10. super abilities....why do I have flashbacks to Force Unleashed
  11. hmm, going to have to rewatch this segment. Got a little confused during the talk about tank stats. (defense/shield)
  12. answer was "not likely" to auto facing. Don't worry bud, we'll still be able to get dizzy beating on the newbs. Oh, and I RP and run in circles in Warzones...
  13. ohhh Tab Targeting being worked on. Yay. Easier targeting through various means. Again, yay.
  14. larger than 8 man ops per side warzones in the works....I like it.
  15. I do like the PVP dailies being medal based, not win based. Will make gaining gear much easier if you don't HAVE to win three a day/ nine a week.
  16. hey look at that....the very first question was about premades vs. pugs.
  17. I submitted that question...we'll see if they answer it. Also...yay for taking Ilum back to the drawing board.
  18. so yeah, I've got to take my son to school, can someone take notes. Also if anyone is using it the Cover it Live feature, could you let me know if my question get's answered. Thanks.
