  2. I just read through this entire thread and all I have to say is.....ow, my head hurts. Ok, I'm going to break it down to you simply people. It doesn't matter what spec you play It doesn't matter if someone is percieved as better It doesn't matter if you are top of the boards in any catagory There are only two things that matter 1. Are you having fun? 2. Are you helping the team? If the answer to either of those questions is no, then you are not playing the right class. If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then you are playing the right class. Detractors and defenders (D&D) will go back and forth for hours and even days debating whether or not a class is good/viable/OP/poor/horribad and each side will walk away thinking they won the "debate". As an addendum, if you are having fun but don't feel like you are helping the team, ask how to improve. Some of us are actually quite successful doing what we do and would love to give pointers.
  3. Sure it can, just not with the interupt skill. force push, backhand, force choke, force leap to a further away target and my personal favorite, kill them before it finishes. Honestly making it non interruptable, is not much of a change. Now the plus damage? Freaking awesome

    Force Choke

    Some clarification questions: 1. are you specced for Force Choke to be unchanneled? 1a. are you moving before the channel is finished? 2. do they have full resolve bars? i.e. the bar that circles the player's picture, is it full white or receding white? 3. when are you attempting to use it? Some AC's have abilities that make them immune to CC for a short time such as a Jugg can spec to be immune to CC for 4 seconds after a Force Leap, if you are attempting to choke them then it will fail. 4. Tab targeting is a nightmare and sometimes the person in front of you may not be the one you have targetted, is it possible that sometimes the person you thought was going to be affected wasn't because of the targetting issues? 5. this is an issue you are having in PVP yes? It's in the PVP forums but thought I'd make sure. If NPC's are ignoring your Force Choke that needs to be reported immediately.
  6. I'm sorry but your comment made me laugh. Let's clarify something shall we. I play a hybrid Jugg (not 14/27) and I love Huttball. I have utility and cc and jumps and leaps. It is, however, not my favorite map. That distinction belongs to Civil War. Now, why do I sometimes sit on a node in Civil War? Because I can defend that node until people come to help me. Not because I am "butthurt" that I didn't get to run the ball. I prefer to be in the thick of things, protecting healers, harassing their healers, doing damage (I average between 100K and 200K thousand damage a warzone in Civil War and over 60K protection, not astronomical numbers but still significant). Why, if I prefer to be in the middle of things do I sit on a node? Because it's a team event and if I'm needed to protect a node so others can fight I do my job. Honestly, so many people are upset that just because they can't go and kill whoever whenever they want it's not PVP. Welcome to objective based PVP. Edit: The guy who posted above me is not one to whom this post of mine was directed. He does have some valid points and I always laugh when the game buggs out and the announcer is mute all match. Yes, I understand some people don't like for many reason, but the majority of people I see complaining about it just want to kill others.

  13. pretty much everything I've played has been fun in PVP. My personal favorite however, has got to be the hybrid tank/dps Jugg. Yeah, I know I'm new to the party. I can protect, damage, and have great utility. Though I would wait to make one until after 1.2 comes. Changes to the skill trees will necessitate a different approach the the current one.
  14. you are reading it correctly. Five or more in a premade for ranked will never face off against puggers looking for a normal match. Honestly this system is pretty much the one we have now with the exception that sometimes, people who want to be ranked will face off against people who don't. If you don't want ranked, why do you care if the people you are facing are getting ranked? If you do want ranked, why aren't you que'ing for ranked? These changes are what the devs believe will improve and or help PVP. Will they be right? I don't know, but I'm willing to try out the new PVP stuff to find out before I condemn anyone. Edit: Hey, I found the part of the blog I was looking for; Additionally, the Group rating is adjusted regardless of the size of group you queued up with and groups of five or more players are never called into mixed matches.

  19. Hi, Dar-Ell here, long time reader first time poster (not really, it's a Mister Obvious joke) I have a 50 Jugg almost full immortal spec and I PVP with him quite a bit. Recently however I have been playing my Guardian, level 38...woops, ding'ed last night, 39. Currently 9/21/0 going for the hybrid build...to try it out cause I was curious. Yeah, everything I can do on my Jugg in tank gear/spec I can do on my Guard in DPS spec running in Soresu only I do it with more damage. No longer, when I attack a healer or ranged dps, does he roflstomp me, I'm actually a threat. I hate to say this, I mean, I really HATE to say this, defending the Immortal's for so long, but I have to agree with the hybrid build. This is coming from someone who tried (is trying) both sides of the fence. Both are good at doing what they do, just one will actually kill enemies. P.S. eagerly awaiting skill tree changes and dual specs in 1.2
  20. For an honest answer, yes I was having this problem yesterday. Six times, after the third I submitted a ticket and once the ticket was closed (and presumably looked at) I had no problems getting in.

  23. Prior to yesterday, I would have said Fury. Good design, good interior, looks good in combat. Yesterday my baby agent (operative, heal specced) got his Phantom. I now have a new favorite, exterior and interior. Only complaint is the captain's chair. Really can't see much out of that thing. Least favorite is the smuggler's ship. I mean seriously...I still have to use a map to get around that thing.
  24. Personally, I have to disagree with this part. Don't get me wrong, rage specc'ed Juggs can be quite devestating. I also believe however that a good Immortal Jugg can also contribute alot to the party. Tight fight at mid? I'll guard the left turret solo so my team can have another person playing in the middle. Yeah, I'll never (and I mean EVER) put up the damage numbers you get, hell I'm happy when I break 75K damage, but I contribute to the team. Heck, there are times when I'm so not worried about dying I'll have time to type out "two at left, need one person" or something similar.
