  1. after the marauders are nerfed then there will be a new imbalance to date on TOR, it doesnt end with you people. Instead of thinking things through it has to be a nerf all the time. I stand by my previous statement on the last page. Bad players are having a hard time playing because they were spoiled by healers pre 1.2
  2. glad the game is revolved 1v1 amiright? but seriously....the same crys were being made during that time about those classes. Now the same ones are being made but the argument to make your guys point is "oh they are so much more op than those classes were" In which watchmen was actually nerfed and received the same buff that everyone else received. There were no complaints before and now there is.
  3. and im sure sages, powertechs, smugglers were all ruining pvp when they were nerfed too
  4. where were the complaints about sentinels/marauders pre-1.2? Oh yeah they didnt exist. Focus tree gets buffed along with expertise and all of the sudden every ability that they have is completely overpowered. I mean come on. Im fine with focus going back to being ******, because only the bad players are playing that spec. Force camo could use a longer CD. Lets not get out of hand which the nonsense though. Watchmen actually received a slight nerf by moving the trans buff to combat. I think what the major problem is that the expertise change was a big change in the game play...they didnt need to nerf classes when they made this change because it was a big enough shock to the gameplay as it is. Players were spoiled by the fact that they could ignore defensive cooldowns pretty much all the time and healers would be able to keep them alive. This isnt the case anymore. Players have to use their cds to allow healers the time to heal them. These players are more worried about pew pew than anything else. So that means they dont peel for the healers either. So once the healers get focus'd they are blown up due to the fact of bad players being spoiled from healers pre-1.2
  5. Bioware shouldnt of nerfed classes until after they made the expertise change and see how it went from there. Right now i dont believe sentinels are overpowered. They could use a little tweeking like a longer CD on force camo, 45 seconds is a bit short. Their dmg is fairly in line with most other dps classes because well we received the same buff all the other classes got. Our tree that was buffed alot was focus...and well all of the good sentinels on my server dont play that spec. So as far as im concerned they can nerf the hell out of the focus tree....its just a glass cannon spec anyways.
  6. What specs of marauders are you having problems with? I see a ton of marauders running around now but most are trash and get killed pretty easily. Marauder is not an easy class to play, you can see the difference between good and bad pretty easily. People also dont know how to handle a marauder when they pop cds. If you have watched two of them duel each other...you will notice when one pops the 99% reduction the other force chokes them. This does a couple of things...one if prevents from popping a healing pot....and they are not still doing dmg to you while they are low....and gives you time to set up what you plan to do next. To many times i watch morons keep dpsing a marauder when they are only doing 1-2 dmg to them....this is wrong and a sign that they dont know the class or dont know how to think things through. Another thing is marauders are blown up pretty easily....you dont need everyone one on the team to turn and kill them, having one person dps them and force CDs and then they die. The fact is marauders did not see that much of a change from other dps classes. The most notable change would be the expertise change, which would increase all dps classes. I will admit that the smash spec on paper looks pretty powerful, but i havent tried it and dont plan to. I know that i personally dont have a problem with smash spec marauders because i have defensive roll. The crys about this class didnt start till 1.2 and the only real notable changes to combat and watchmen was increase dmg from masterstrike and moving the trans runspeed boost from watchmen to combat. Neither i would consider game breaking op. So that leaves the one change that every class saw which was the expertise change. Right now they designed it to do more dmg than what it reduces dmg. So nonstop heal fests wouldnt rule the game. I see most of the problems that people are having with marauders as not knowing how to deal with them. It would be like someone complaining that they keep dying to a sniper because they get knocked back and rooted then they just keep running slowly at them instead of LoS.
  7. combat is gimp unless you have a healer rolling with you. Otherwise watchmen just straight outperforms you. If you have a healer, combat brings more to the table to the entire group.
  8. a SI / JC tank is very good in a 1v1 situation. Marauders/Sentinels are up there as well
  9. from a pvp standpoint, combat is very good for a premade group or at least a good group setup. You can peel people off of your healers pretty easily. Burst is good. Survivability is not so good as combat, i feel like i need to roll around with a healer, unlike watchmen i can survive for a long time and pick a group apart with my dot heals.
  10. Watchmen and focus can carry a teams damage if played right, combat wont be able to do that, but combat is going to have a valuable role in a good premade

Depends on what you want to accomplish, focus is gonna be the smash face spec, you will be able to use trans quite a bit with the 10 centering return + getting valor as a tier 1 talent, and slashes returning all of the focus it used when they crit. Watchmen is still going to put out a good amount of damage, and the heals from zen can help swing a fight. Combat is not going to be a bad spec if you want pure utility, i dont think its going to match the dmg that focus or watchmen can do, its not going to carry a team, but its going to be really good for a premade group with its two roots that dont cause resolve and the 80% trans.
  12. No, not really...you have a few people that protect, then a few that do it just for the medal and then wont do it again. Its a rare sight.
  13. He didnt actually hit for 8k, right now warzones are bugged and are giving medals for false numbers. He got the 2.5k and 5k medal for an 8k crit he didnt do, he just saw the medals pop up and said he probably didnt hit the guy for over 2k.
