  1. I'm pretty much in the same boat OP. I love the concept of this game and I fought tooth and nails with my friends about this game. But.. I'm having a hard time justifying this game anymore, between an anti-social community, long PvE wait times, long PvP wait times (my server is about dead now.) Extremely easy end game PvE, and for some reason I just can not put my finger on it, the end game grind feels more grindy and more unfun than WoW... which I don't get because it's basically the same, but it feels like more of a burden to do here. So my Sub is up in August if BW doesn't turn this game around make it feel more open and alive, I will have to regrettably cancel my sub as well, which like I said saddens me because I love Star Wars. But the game as is, and the Community as is.. just is not worth it anymore for me. So Friday I will also be in Kingsmouth.
  2. Whoa.. I see it now, yeah because of teh Sin getting pulled from stealth after the bomb was planted it looked like the Sin planted it but yeah there's a Jugger that comes out from behind the door near the end.
  3. No it is not because the stealther comes out of stealth as soon as they interact with the object, in this instance the stealther is planting the bomb while still stealthed and stays stealthed until pulled out by AoE. Hence the stealther planted the bomb and walked away while stealthed. It's a bugged mechanic.
  4. I'm going to explain this in very simple short words... The stealther in the video was planting the bomb while stealthed. It's a bug and the people doing it are exploiting.
  5. I'm just gonna flat out say it. Any REAL PvPer could care less about this change, a REAL PvPer wants a challenge not just to steam roll PuGs. So anyone complaining about this change and considers themself a real PvPer, should rethink it. All this change will do is make it so people can get geared quicker and real PvP matches can happen. It saddens me by the amount of PvP posers on this forum that just want to win because they out gear people.
  6. No wonder there a a bajillon Assassins popping up lately.
  7. Okay so you're gonna make a game that has an ENDING and won't see any major content updates outside of expansions your main game.. Okay cool have fun with that. Not saying come back to SWToR but you GW2 people are in for an extremely rude awakening.
  8. Real PvPers want skill vs Skill and don't care if baddies have good gear to because this way when we wipe the floor with them.. it was because they were bad. Not because we out geared them. You know what I'm sick of? Wannabe PvPers that are only good because they out gear people and when the playing field gets evened out they panic and QQ on the forums. So as an avid PvPer and one that loves competition, I encourage everyone to get geared, so that matches are pure skill and team work wins, not out geared slaughter fests.. because those are only fun for so long.
  9. You're also forgetting Tera is over a year old, it's a game that's over a year old with no BGs or Endgame. We just got it in the US but it's over a year old people. We got everything the Koreans and Japanese have so far.
  10. This doesn't surprise me, EA is a huge company that pumps out 20+ games a year. Sadly it's not a specialized company that has all it's resources into 1-4 titles. Now if BW stated that in a conference call I would be absolutely disheartened. But it was just the guys that shrug and sign checks. If this game outsold Madden etc, I would expect more attention from the Big, Big Wigs.
  11. Okay first off, lets get some things out of the way, Fanbois: I love this game and still actively play so I'm not doom or gloomin ya. So it's cool. This thread is a what needs to be fixed to give the game a better appeal and to get new players or bring back some of that 25% or more. Trolls: Guys I get it you're mad, the game didn't live up to your expectations. Or you just like grieving people. Either way, there's tons of other threads for you, so if you can't contribute actual constructive criticism (Not snark criticism to be funny or "cute".) I'm politely asking you not to post here. Okay now that that's out of the way let's talk. Currently I'm on Master Zhar Lestin server, the server may not be the deadest or even the most populated, but there's a "decent" amount of people on nightly (not great just decent.) One of the biggest issues I'm running into are that MMO gamers seem to have become Anti-Social. This seems to be a huge problem, not only is this issue very present on my server it even affects things like my guild etc, and I'm sure it's not Isolated to just my server. So the first thing I want to discuss in this post is building community, currently it seems there is none. So the first improvement to SWToR I'm going to suggest is something that we the gamers can change.. start talking, Have conversations in general, try to spark one on something that others may join in on.. start making people feel like hey this planet with 30+ people is active, you may even make new friends. Another thing we as a community can do to help things along ourselves is helping lowbies. When you see someone spamming for a group and you're not doing anything if it's content you can help them on by all means, an FP run through takes roughly 10 - 15 minutes at max. Your 10 -1 5 minutes can save a player who may be on the verge of quitting because they can't find a group from doing so. Who knows that person may end up being the tank, healer, or dps you desperately need later. People remember, the people that help them out. Okay so those are things that we can do to help out. Now let's discuss what BW needs to do to help us. Server Transfers: These needs to happen Yesterday. This game loses more people to the population being spread thin than anything else atm. A lot of people are very invested in their characters and do not want to simply re-roll. I understand BW is waiting to see numbers after X-Events before implementing them, but BW Listen to me and many others that have played enough games that have seen this very thing happen so many times in other games it's Deja Vu. Get the transfers out, if you have the technology roll it out asap. (and let's be fair we should really be blaming the people that QQed for more servers at launch. had they waited in queues most servers wouldn't be in this dilemma right now) LFG Tool: We all know this is coming out on 1.3 which is great but here's the thing it's been eerily quiet about 1.3 lately and this feature (along with the delayed Rated WZs) need to happen quickly, in say 1.2.5 rather than 1.3, I think it's pretty safe to say you get these out sooner the community will be more than happy to wait a little longer for 1.3 itself. (this is just my speculation, I realize I do not speak for everyone, but in theory, I'd like to think we would.) These are the biggest issues SWToR faces atm, every other issue is staggeringly small (except more performance upgrades but those come as they are finished.) So for the first half I plea to the community, let's give this game an actual community in game, and for the second half I'm pleading to BW get these features out asap. I love this game the IP and the possibilities this game can offer. I'd hate to see this game falter any further. I want to see it soar from here out so please, I know this may be falling on deaf ears.. but I care enough to try, please BW, get these features to us asap. Thanks.
  12. Okay here's the problem with Multi-Gaming Guilds they rarely last in any game past 3-4 months some times they do but the reason they are multi-Game Guilds is because they are MMO Hoppers, they move to the next big thing. I've been a part of several of them, this is their Modus Operandi.
  13. .. You realize that's not HOW IT FREAKING WORKS!..
  14. No what they are trying to do is to make something look like a reoccurring every day event that makes the event look worse than it actually is. It's the same tactics most advertising and even protest groups use to make statistics look more grave than they are to try to capture attention. However it's not how things work, and IMHO people that are subscribing to it need to go get their common sense back.
  15. Right but that is not how it actually happens. It's not a steady stream, unsubbs are usually in bursts due related to an event. (i.e. Patch content.) Honestly when i see things like this it makes me think the person doing it is throwing common sense to the wind to appear to be book smart.
