  1. The reason why premades are so overpowering is because the WZs are so small. The WZs are small because the game engine can't handle 50 vs 50 or even 12v12 on many people's computers because of bad hardware management on the part of the game.
  2. Port Nowhere has one of the better Imperial/Republic population balances of all the servers. Mostly because a lot of big Republic guilds rolled there. Imperials still outnumber Republic, but we still get a lot of matches between Republic and Imperial and a few Imp/Imp Huttball matches.
  3. This is why Mythic devs who worked on Warhammer PvP should never be allowed to work on MMO PvP ever again.
  4. My only problem with Huttball is how overpowered Sorcs and Sages are in that WZ in terms of carrying the ball. The caster version can force speed AND pull the ball carrier. I'm okay with the pulling, but I'm not okay with people being able to force speed with the ball.

Not sure if you're calling me a carebear or not but I can say I don't like playing Hardcore PvP like in EVE or Mortal Online but after my daily is done I will stay win or lose just for the medals. Most of the time during the week it is a struggle for me to complete my PvP dailies and the PvE dailies because I work in the morning. So that is my reasoning for changing the rewards system.
  6. I would stop leaving losing WZs immediately if two things were changed. 1. You could purchase BM bags for 500/500 coms. 2. WZ wins for dailies / weekly were changed to 3 wins or 9 participations.
  7. Rage is best used when you are in a close range fight with several enemies at the same time so you can hit them all with Smash. Vengeance on the other hand is more useful in Huttbal/Alderaan because it is less group target and more single target DPS.
  8. No one can compete with a Sorc, but with Rage or Vengeance you can see 300k+ if you are BM or Champion geared.

  10. Stupid Bioware solution is stupid. If your game didn't randomly crash and everyone's internet was perfect then it would work. But this isn't Heaven Bioware. You took the dumb way out. You changed all the bags to Comms. Instead you should have made it so that you reward PvP activity while in the WZ.
  11. As I've said before. If they add a hard lockout I will be canceling my sub. To explain in more detail: By the time I get home from work until it is time for me to go to bed = 4 hours. I do not have enough time to play a ton of losing WZs. If it is a close match 3-4 I won't leave. But if it is 4-0 I'm gone. I just can't complete my dailies otherwise. It's all because the Dailies require you to win. I would much prefer a system that rewarded you for completing WZ specific actions like capping a turret, scoring the huttball etc.
  12. Was before people started getting around 400 expertise 3 weeks ago. Not really viable now, especially with the surge nerf.
  13. I don't care if I lose the buff during a CC because Shatter is not on CD I can immediately hit them with that, get the autocrit buff back and THEN FS them. Besides it better to open up on someone with Impale after your setup because it costs less Rage. The problem with putting points into Battle Cry is that it only applies after the Force Charge. In most games I isolate a player or go after their healers. This ability allows me to stay up far longer. I often don't run with healers and I usually get my man when I focus on him and the 2500 heals I get with this spec after a stun allow me to stay up longer. Last night in a Voidstar match I was alone at a door and attacked a Vanguard tank and a Sentinel, both in Champ/BM gear. It was a 2 minute fight and I was able to kill the Sentinel and get the tank to 30% health before the Sentinel showed up again. I killed the Sentinel again and then killed the tank and planted on the door. If I hadn't been able to heal myself for 5k I wouldn't have been able to do that. It was so bad that the tank in /say said "Why won't you die!?"
  14. Lightsaber Throw = 3 rage Force Charge = 3 rage Sundering Assault = 3 rage 9 Rage right there. Rotation costs: Impale = 4-1 = 3 because of Shien rage refund. Force Scream = 4-1 = 3 because of Shien rage refund. Shatter = 5-1 = 4 rage because of Shien rage refund. So while you have to have the 4 rage to trigger Impale for example you automatically get 1 back. So at the end you have a surplus of rage. Mix in your Sundering Assault to increase the melee attack damage and you have even more Rage in between Impales etc. The whole thing works because you are not using Impale and THEN Shatter because you want to wait a bit until the autocrit is halfway up.
  15. No I just think you are wrong. I always manage to do my rotation and only can't if I'm in the middle of a fight. But it all works out because I stack sundering assault on someone then they slow me and I crit them with Impale for 5k.
  16. Really kind of sick of critical game systems not working as intended. I mean both the PvP RNG system and the RE systems are critical game systems. Never played an MMO where a patch broke these important systems and wasn't immediately rolled back or hotfixed the next day. Makes me lose a lot of respect for the devs when these critical systems are not working 2 months into release.
  17. I never have a problem with rage generation, not sure why you do. So I don't really need a free force scream. Most of the attacks in the Vengeance tree are weapon damage attacks, so it makes far more sense for you to work more Sunders into your rotation to lower the target's armor rating. LS Throw > Force Leap > SA > Shatter > FS > Impale > Smash > Force Push > Repeat. With the above rotation you get an auto rage generation right as you hit SA so you have enough Rage to do the full rotation. If you can't do the LS Throw > Force Leap setup hit your Enrage.

This is my actual spec. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#1010MZIMMRrhddMRZGd.1 I prefer the points in the Rage tree because I can heal myself for 10% after getting out of a stun, I will also stop someone dead in their tracks after force leaping to them (in addition to the lowered Ravage and force choke and increased force crit chance.

  21. Most people on these forums have no idea what a lockout will really do to PvP. You think that that will decrease the likelyhood of people leaving? Probably not. See people leave when they lose hope. I leave WZs all the time when the Pubes get to the last door with 4 minutes remaining. I leave when Huttball is 5-0. I leave when the other team has a 3 cap on Alderaan. I will however stay if it is 2-1, 4-5 in Huttball for example. Honestly I will probably stop WZing if they put a debuff on me for leaving. Mostly because every other patch I crash randomly and sometimes I crash simply because this game has a memory leak. Even if they change the daily so that you don't have to win it won't solve the problem. A debuff on people that leave isn't a solution simply because people do crash to desktop a lot in this game. Why should they be punished because the game isn't robust enough to deal with critical memory errors caused by the program? Even if it does get rid of the leavers (like myself) it will still penalize people that legitimately crash. And if they have a crash detection system people will just launch task manager and force quit to spoof it. A better system would be to reward players for actions inside the WZs. A Huttball match for example would have these objectives that count toward a 0/50 daily. 1. Score the ball. 2. Pass the ball. 3. Pass the ball to someone who then scores. 4. Kill the ball carrier. 5. Kill 40 enemy players. 6. Heal 300k damage. 7. Knock someone into the acid pit who then dies. etc, etc etc. Per WZ these actions cannot be performed more than once and still count towards your daily. This system rewards people for completing the objectives instead of penalizing a significant portion of the player base for crashes.
  22. I have almost the exact stats and do that kind of damage too. Though I went for the BM implants/offhand before the chestpiece though. I expect the nerf calls to be coming soon.
  23. You obviously haven't read my previous posts. My system rewards people for doing things relevant to the Warzone they are in. My system doesn't reward people for leaving, nor does it penalize them. My system also does not reward nor penalize AFKers. A negative system is unnecessary. Instead of Wins or losses to complete the daily or weekly you have a large number of actions which count toward your daily. Actions such as planting the bomb in Voidstar. Such as preventing the enemy from capping a Turret in Alderaan. Such as passing the ball to someone in Huttball who then proceeds to score. Complete 50 of these actions and your daily is done, win or lose. Also: Increase the amount of WZ tokens by 50% that the winning team gets to encourage people to win. There will need to be some restrictions so people don't cap trade like they were doing on Ilum but if I can come up a system that is better than Bioware's system for free then theoretically they should be able to do better as they are being paid. This system solves all the problems that are currently being discussed in this thread. What if I already have all the BM tokens I want for my character. None of the BM gear is worth it for me as I want Power and I have all the BM gear that has +crit on it when I already stand at the 30% cap. I have the BM implants, the BM LS, the BM belt, the BM focus, which all has surge and power. What do I need the other gear for? Just for my companions at this point. Your argument is invalid, at least for me. AND AGAIN. You failed to even critique my proposed system, so why are you posting here except to troll people that disagree with you.

  25. What if I queue up and enter a losing WZ immediately because someone else quit or disconnected. Now I am being penalized and my time wasted through no fault of my own. Even under the current system I often enter WZs where the game is already lost.
