  1. This. I love, absolutely love, the Voss. I would die to get them to be playable.
  2. That's why I said it was a dream . I still think SWTOR doesn't offer enough customization -- I just happen to like the way they stack stats on the Healing set (since I only heal or lolololol grav spam), but I am sure for some people this isn't ideal. I agree that they will likely never be able to handle anything more than Esport-esque PvP, but they still have a ways to go in terms of reward on that field. You can't structure competitive, Esport PvP and then have gear and random chance determine fights. You have to commit to one vision or the other, or do both and keep them mostly separated. Since SWTOR is incapable of doing the mass scale world PvP (and will be seeing a population hit for it, I am sure, as this is Star WARS not Star Skirmish and other games will be offering both massive world PvP and competitive, Esport PVP), it needs to focus on implementing competitive Esport PvP however that also means doing so in a way that is conducive to that kind of play (normalizing attributes, crit chance, etc.)
  3. I actually do agree with you, I haven't been having too hard of a time with them, but I'm also a Commando and I like to at least pretend I know what I am doing. I'm also very used to dying (I tend to find assist trains on me pretty often, and I tended back pre 1.2 when healers PvP'd to go after healers), so this isn't a new change for me. I do still on the whole find TTK deplorably low (people are dying way too fast) and burst damage is insanely high -- my burst went from 4k as a well-geared level 49 in patch 1.1.5 to over 8k as a recruit-geared (with BM cannon) level 50.
  4. It's fine, just give me the 1.5 mil credits so i can unlock a new species and reroll. I have a feeling if BioWare nerfs Marauders/Sentinels, it'll be the new Left Axe nerf. This generation needs a Left Axe nerf. They don't even know bout real nerfs.
  5. Hey, at least it's only 1.5 million to unlock new species for those of us that don't want to roll a 50 on a faction that already outnumbers the other side 3:1
  6. I've always dreamed, since I was a kid, of basically getting completely blank-canvas gear as a PvP reward So basically, think of it like you distribute stats at character creation in some games. You'd get [PVP reward X]. It would have 120 points to spend. You could spend these 120 points on any stat you'd like -- primary stat, endurance, crit, alacrity, accuracy, defense, whatever. If I only want to put Aim on my gear and run around with 8k health, I should be free to do that. Let the reward be the Cosmetics, with at most "130 vs. 120" on the available points if people really need that power differential. For me...I am honestly more concerned about lookin' like a bad *** than being able to face stomp fresh 50s harder.
  7. I have some ideas for you. GW2 Elder Scrolls Online Just wait for them. BioWare doesn't even have the technical capacity to handle the numbers involved in 3 faction fighting.
  8. The problem with the OP is he/she seems to think GA has any idea how to develop PVP systems. He doesn't. 2/3rds of the content he was "in charge of" for WAR didn't even make in to the game, that's just how good he was at his job. GA has no idea. So, in his brain, "warzone comm cap is higher? Must make weapons more expensive!" Because, you know, in real life, the size of your wallet determines how much money you have and how quickly you make it. Right...? Right? Right.
  9. I wanted to try out my new thread rez ability my commando got in 1.2
  10. While you perhaps are playing the objectives, this is easily possible without. Very often on Anchorhead I see people who have guards Guarding someone only long enough to get their guard medals, then moving on. They are not using taunts at all. The majority of the medals you got, people can get by going afk. I am not saying you did, but it is possible to do and that's many people's points. This speaks to my previous point and is a unique capacity of classes with Tank abilities, as the other classes (Pure DPSers and Healers) do not get access to non-competitive resource usage that earns them medals. The amount of damage you, as an Assassin, lose for using taunt is not even close to the DPS I lose as a Commando to toss a 1.5k point heal that a Marauder is going to blow through with 1-2 tics of a dot, if I can even get the heal off without it being interrupted. I am wasting my potential as a DPS by doing this without benefitting anyone -- you can not use the unique situation tanks are given in this game (tanks that were easily earning 12+ medals before 1.2) as the basis for everyone else. This I can agree with, in part. Again, while I admit there was clearly dominance here, because you all playerd the objectives (as you yourself admit), they could get out of their spawn. I've literally been spawn camped before since 1.2, with people dropping down to get nailed by an assist train and damn near instagibbed. There is no earning 3 medals in matches like that -- this was not one of those matches. This I agree with, in part. I have mixed feelings on the issue, but I agree that rewards need to reflect both time investment and challenge. This is not reflective of my experiences. Usually in roflstomp matches, Imps (as the case often is on my server) will stop to farm the Pubs, as they think it's funny to make Pubs ragequit. But I appreciate you all being good sports and not frustrating someone else's gameplay.
