Honestly, I wish there was a better decoration system. Too many decorations are just stupid rare or non existent in games. This leaves players with very little choice, and makes a lot of strongholds look the same, iif they haven't been abandoned due to lack of decos. Plus, not a lot of people can afford the typical 10-20M PER DECO from the GTN. The devs need to make a collection system for them, or treat them like the do for guilds.

 

This is why I haven't bothered with any strongholds since Yavin. I have DK and Nar Shada decorated and the rest are deactivated or yet to be purchased.

 

The current severe deco scarcity from the ultimate packs, does not drive pack sales in my opinion.

 

Nope it sure doesn't. The fact they're so rare is precisely why I won't buy any.

I love seeing everyone's Rishi strongholds! Good inspiration as I work my way through it (it's so huge, and I'm still under 30%).

 

I'm finally satisfied with my Overlook home. The stronghold team was really great to add it for us, so I was determined to make it into someplace that I could picture living. Lunafox, you'll see that I was inspired by you for one of the rooms: I was frustrated not being able to get the fireplace deco to the wall in any of the places I wanted it, but then you gave me the idea to bring the walls to the fireplace! Here are the pics:

Wow! Your stronghold is beautiful! :D I love the wall, and I'm happy I could inspire you a bit. We have the same thought for the balcony with the stanchions, I've fallen off one too many times so I had to put a railing up, but I'm not quite finished with them, I need a bunch more :D

 

It looks marvelous, you've done a wonderful job, and I love how you sunk the Voss lights into the wall for sconces. Very nice. <3

OMG I do get it...I had Nar Shadaa and Manaan as my only two "decorated" SHs...I actually worked hard on both of those and wasn't going to touch either...until the other night >.<...while it was dark I snuck into my Manaan SH and started salvaging several items I really wanted for Rishi...it made me sick to salvage so much, but once I started, I couldn't stop...RISHI MUST COME FIRST...

 

Your cantina looks great too!

 

I quite literally did the exact same thing! To the same stronghold even!

 

So my Manaan stronghold was 100% done and it had a very sweet bounty hunter hideaway theme. But then Rishi happened. :cool: It started when I just needed a couple of decorations that I had there, and were not on the GTN, or abysmally over priced. I promised myself that I would come back and right my wrongs in the very near future, and that it was only temporary. Sadly, by the end of my Rishi deco'ing, I had fully removed every last decoration from Manaan, and de-listed it publicly. lol So even though my Manaan house is now a clean slate again, I'm still in love with the Rishi stronghold and ship.

 

I really had to make some very hard design decisions too at the end of decorating Rishi, as I ran into the limit. Rishi really needs about 100 more deco item count to be fully done right. But with that said, I'm proud to finally have it completely done! Now I can get back to actually playing the rest of the game, lol.

Very nice! Now I know where all the Medical Stanchions went! :D I was originally going to do something similar by putting a spa on the overlook balcony - I'm more tempted now.

Many thanks to everyone who has been posting pictures. Now that double XP is over, I'll have more time to think about what to do with this ginormous stronghold. I have already stolen the idea of putting the juvenile turtle pet on the beach as a friend for Speedy. :) Edited by Hudlar

I'm glad you were inspired by that idea especially, it's nice to think of Speedy being happy with a pal on the beach. :)

That is the "Imperial Security Console". I don't have pics, but if you are on the Satele Shan server, stop by

"Two Finger's Smuggler Haven" to see them in person. They are on the bridge of my ship.

I'm EVERYWHERE mwahahahaha :rak_05:! Thanks for the reply and thanks for the invite :) - next time I log into that server I'll take a look. All of my decorated strongholds are on Darth Malgus - I want to do an "open day" when I finish my Rishi one.

I'll try to stop by tonight - I've decorated my bridge like 7 times now, tearing it up each time...it's driving me nuts. I want it to look like Screaming_Ziva's bridge but I don't have enough decos yet :)

Haha, yes, I'm a stanchion hog. I invested a lot of credits collecting a whole bunch over many months for my zoo on Tatooine. When they announced the server mergers, I sent a toon over to a second server so I could have double Yavin and Manaan strongholds. At that point, we didn't expect them to duplicate decos (they said they would not, but it was controversial), but then they did. I was very lucky, but that's how I had enough spares to do the railing. If only I'd transferred to a third server I'd have triple, but I'm very happy to have what I have. By the way, I love your beach party. I'd love to go there!

Thank you! High praise coming from you. I loved how you put the banners in your living room sideways. The walls are so high in that room, and I think that somehow balances the room nicely. Can't wait to see what you do with the rest of your place :)

I sooo wish i knew that decos were going to be duplicated, cause I would have had so many more deco'ing options.

... if you put a Iokath PowerCell on the floor hook below it.. you get an electrified Spa which looks pretty interesting and kind of Star Warsy. :D Then you can sit down in the spa and "recharge" :p

I've seen the spa on a lot of balconies, and I personally was going to use it somewhere else in the stronghold so as not to be the same, but after it was all said done, I actually didn't get to use it all. :(

This is worth me re-doing my balcony. I too wasn't going to put a spa there as it's so popular with everyone but this has to be done! :D

That's awesome :D I had the Powercell under my dark throne so that it looks all Sithy and electrified, but I've since replaced it with the Sith throne that I got from the new furniture pack :D

I toyed with a powercell under my spa but it just wasn't enough "party" for me ... so I tossed a dance floor from the casino event under it and now let's just say there's enough party to go around for everyone!
