KotFE Community Assessment

Recommended Posts

Since KotFE was an experiment with a new form of content release, and since we're still a couple weeks away from KOTET's first bit of info being dropped, I thought this might be a good time to look back on the changes the system brought and allow players to perhaps provide a more organized response to the experiment.

I've made 14 categories with questions for each to offer suggestions. Don't feel you have to answer all of them, I just tried to cover as many things as I could think of.

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad?

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered?

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst?

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so?

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges?

III) PVP

1) Was the Odessen map a satisfying addition to PVP?

2) A new arena map was added. Was this a satisfying addition, or do the lack of new objectives make it same-ol', same-ol'?

3) If you are an active PVP player, did the Major Pierce/M1-4X mission impact your gameplay positively, negatively, or not at all?

4) Has the new system for Open World PVP made the PVP experience better or worse and how?

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse?

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement?

3) Operation crystals can no longer be learned but can be purchased. Is this good or bad?

VI) Star Fortress

1) The 2+ mode can be soloed, but only if sufficiently geared, skilled, and have a good companion. Does that make it good, to serve as a challenge? Bad, because it does not allow as many solo players to complete? Bad because it provides even fewer needs for grouping?

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive.

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder?

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad?

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad?

4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system?

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

2) KOTFE has also reduced the point requirement in many Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad?

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent?

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations

2) Flashpoints

3) Galactic Starfighter

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars

5) Reputation Leveling

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?

more presence is always good :)

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?

good was too expensive to keep them geard and change their outfits.

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)

indifferent

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?

I.

1) Good chunk of content for release. Time to fix things before adding more content (though unsure if they did?). So, good.

2) New content monthly is much better than maybe a couple times a year. However, it is a risky move with TOR's non-existent QA, especially considering how bugs become permanent features unless adressed early on.

3) A coherent storyline, rather than the disjointed and segmented one in vanilla with each planet having nothing to do with the last, was good. The boss fight finale was terrible; horribly buggy and silly how a gimmick (the shield) had to be used to win. Koth wins the award for worst character ever.

II.

1) Hell if I know.

2) Have been able to do a couple operations due to LFR, so I'd say more accessible.

3) See 1 above.

III.

PvP is silly.

IV.

1) Yes and no. The removal of the orange gear means the point in doing a lot of heroics is no longer there, if you wanted said gear. A lot of armour appearances are now gone because of it. On the other hand, every heroic mission now gives decent gear while leveling and decent money afterwards.

2) Eh. Yeah it's definitely a QoL improvement. But it makes getting around stupidly easy. Between these things, your stronghold and the teleporters on the fleet, there's rarely any need to use the ships anymore.

3) Worse. Less social points if you want those, less lore, less flavour and in some cases even loss of DS/LS points. The turn-in dialogue should still be there if you get the mission from the NPC directly.

V.

1) Better.

2) Improvement.

3) Undecided. Personally I allready know the schematics I care to, so this doesn't affect me. But more options is better, so this probably isn't a great thing.

VI.

1) Soloing content made for groups -should- be hard.

2) It's no more repetetive than doing almost any other flashpoint several times. Less so due to the slightly random nature of them I'd say.

3) Undecided. I can imagine all the arguments and people leaving over "not their" star fortress being chosen when the queue pops though.

VII.

1) I haven't noticed it changing leveling any, apart from stopping the -massive- overpower you'd previously get if you ate the experience boosts the game keeps throwing at you.

2) Worsened it, as predicted. Where previously you could go back to help people in areas you've outgrown quick and easy, it's now much less tempting as you have to navigate around all the trash.

VIII.

1) Okay I guess.

2) I don't really see the point apart from the 20 cartel coins you get for the achievement the first time you max them. So I guess insufficient.

3) There should be an option to tell them to take a hike with the alerts. No, I don't want the freaking walking carpet. No, I don't want to get Pierce due to the *********** PvP matches he wants me to do. Thus I'm stuck with perpetually flashing Alert icon and 2 entries in the contact list that doesn't remain collapsed. Unless of course I take their missions and leave them unresolved, in which case they permanently take up 2 slots in my mission log instead...

IX.

1) It's definitely a good thing, though some companions seem really odd in some roles. Particularily the cartel companions; apparently the nexu can heal o.O

2) Beats me.

3) It's a case of renaming, not replacing. Difference is you can't go negative now. You're actually rewarded for pissing off your companions. Less so than if they agree, but still.

4) Less likely. Pre-KotFE dialogue choices doesn't matter at all outside of class missions.

5) I haven't actually gone out of my way to artificially raise any companion to 50, so iunno. They seem powerful enough at 15+ though.

6) Good because it saves you lots of time and money. Bad because it means you have less options. Less options is always bad.

7/8) Universal whatnow?

X.

Never bothered with conquests. Just fix the stupid "PLANET IS CONTROLLED BY" and "X'S STRONGHOLD" posters being stuck on our screen allready. Or put them in the UI editor so we can disable them ourselves. Worst part of Galactic Strongholds that bug.

XI.

1) Good because it gives more people the chance to do/finish them. Bad in the case of the rakghoul event because it's exactly the same thing once you head underground. Remember the first rakghoul event on Tatooine, the unique one? I do. I liked it.

2) It forced me to do stuff one more time that I didn't want to do one more time (maxing two characters), stuff I never wanted to do (pvp matches) and on a time schedule once I realized Orktober is coming up and we don't know when it ends.

3) I think it's fine the way it is? Original Tatooine rakghoul event was awesome and should still exist, with equivalent ones for the other planets. The Gree event gives purpose to an otherwise useless planet and it doesn't get away of the regular content there.

4) Indifferent. It wasn't much of an event. I do have friends who haven't been around for the... 2?... times it's been in the past who'd like some of the rewards from it though, and would like to see it reappear for their sake.

XII.

1) Not really.

2) Not at all, once was plenty.

3) Well it's an okay way to get cyan/magenta crystals, if I don't feel in a crafting mood.

XIII.

1) I liked some of the rewards. Others, not. I even tried avoiding one (the "patroller" speeder) because it was horrendous, though badly timed subscription means it ended up cluttering my mailbox anyway.

2) Jetpack! Jetpaaaaaaack! Also got my droid back, woo! And the sniper rifle looks nice on him. The vibro"sword" can go to hell though, along with the patroller.

XIV.

1) 4.

2) 7.

3) 1. GF is still PvP only, right?

4) 1.

5) 5.

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad?

I like it this way.

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered?

I like it as small frequent updates. I don't play daily so this way gives me time to play through with all 15+ alts I'm taking through the content.

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst?

Best part was the fully voiced cut scenes and the ability to finally recruit companions from other classes, the worst was the inability to decide which companion to use, and the"non-voiced throwback Kotor convos".

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

I Don't do operations

III) PVP

I only do lowbie PvP.... and even then I only que once or twice a month.

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

I rarely do heroics

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

Yes

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

Worse...I play for story, so removing that aspect actually made me lose interest in doing them.

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse?

Better...I actually started crafting because of this.

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement?

I didn't craft before the change so I can't answer.

VI) Star Fortress

The solo versions don't count towards building my alliance, so I don't do them.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

It really doesn't bother me...I don't even notice it except during the final fights with Thanaton & Barras. I actually wish they'd instance those fights back to lvl 50.

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

See 1

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

I haven't gotten one past lvl 3 or 4. See what I dislike most, heroic, & SF answers for why.

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad?

I LOVE the changes to companions. Now I can use who I want for WHAT I need.

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?

About the same imo

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad?

Good

4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system?

Unaffected

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?

Don't care...I don't have one above about lvl 28

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?

This was an awesome change imo. I can focus on making MY gear the best now

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?

More likely...It's one of the first things I do when getting a new companion.

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?

I love THIS!

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

Don't do conquest stuff...

3) Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?

I ONLY use the Nar Shadda one so it really doesn't matter to me.

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad?

I honestly only do the bounty event, so it really hasn't affected me

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?

It DEFINITELY enhanced it. I'm doing the same things I'd do anyway, but the addition of the DvL crate rewards & the XP boosting armor has made it THAT much more enjoyable for me.

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?

Rakghoul event is annoying, Gree relies almost completely on grouping so I don't do them. I enjoy bounty tho.

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent?

Indifferent....

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

Haven't been able to make it past lvl 5

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

Nope...

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

N/A

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

The more frequent rewards. I got shines every month!

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

Besides the bonus chapter (which I absolutely LOVE btw).... the jetpack & Nico's coat the most, and that hideously ugly HK helmet the least

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations 1

2) Flashpoints 7 (as long as there are group & solo versions)

3) Galactic Starfighter -9000 unless they add a controller/joystick control option

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars -9000 until they make the end solo'able

5) Reputation Leveling 1

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

Absolutely ruined the two-man an operation experience when sufficiently levelled / geared :D

1) No.

2) Same-ol, shame it is only 4v4, would be fun as 8v8.

3) Not at all.

4) Well, guess it stops the auto target tricksters in their tracks, so it must be a good thing?

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

1) Guess so.

2+3) Absolutely, although I do miss the mission givers.

1) Fine by me on this front.

2) Yes.

3) Seems like an odd decision.

One addition to these changes, I'm literally only just relearning some things I lost with the change around of what crafts what. That was a very unwelcome change.

1) Good, because I get all the loot.

2) Feel like a rat in a maze. No honestly, it really does remind me of that in the way it is designed.

3) Probably.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

1) Not.

2) Not.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

1) Awful. You know what? If they've going to remove the conversations completely and you no longer interact with the NPC on any real level, I think I preferred the way it was handled on Rishi with the text quest. I loathe the KOTOR conversation style, seriously it's the most outdated GUI I have seen in recent years.

2) Sufficient.

3) Get rid of the KOTOR throwback style to the 90s era?

IX) Companions

My only thoughts on the overall companion changes are this, I miss the specific skills and animations companions had. If only BioWare had left their "classic as designed" role alone, and then given the other roles generic moves.

X) Conquest and Strongholds

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?

Wait, what? Did I miss something?

1) Good.

2) Enhance, actually have to say that.

3) I would still like to see original events such as the Chevin one return in some form. Purely to experience them, sadly I joined at the time of the event and didn't have a character at a high enough level.

4) Indifferent, would have been nice to see it back in some form, perhaps with new games.....

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

1) Depends on class.

2) I'll do it every now and then, yes.

3) Yes / No. Yes now they've added Legacy Weapons. No, they should consider Legacy Off-hands. Also *** with adding rare craftable stuff like Magenta Crystals in a legacy form to the vendor *slowclapsthebrightsparkwhodecidedtodothat*

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

1) Previous. A side note on this one as well. I do not like being strung along by being told I'm getting "something", but not being clear at the outset what I'll be "getting". It was a factor in me not maintaining my subscription during KotFE.

2) Nico companion was handy, especially considering you can unlock him straight away on a new character. Everything HK-55 related? Did not like / want to be subjected to it.

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations

2) Flashpoints

3) Galactic Starfighter

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars

5) Reputation Leveling

1)10

2)10

3)10

4)10

5)10

They're all important in helping maintain a healthy game population. You could probably add more to that list :p

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad?

I wasn't thrilled that "Starting in 2016 monthly releases" really meant "Starting in February 2016." But considering the bugs of that one's release that persisted for a month until the next chapter was released, I didn't care to play the chapters (on my Agent had hers reset because it wasn't finished between patches because of the bug punishing me for not having her romance someone, or so I understand that bug being) as soon as they went live. Actually, the DvL is the only reason I finished the rest of KotFE on any characters.

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered?

I felt that if the chapters were going to auto-start once I finished the one before (if I did them all at once like I did for DvL), then I would have preferred the second half to have been released all at once and with some smoothing out done to the chapters to make them less chopped together and episodic. I-IX was announced to be released all at once with the rest released monthly, so I was fine with it. I had thought that I would run characters through I-IX, then between each of X-XVI I would do alerts and stuff, then his the Play button, but... *shruggs* not how it went, to my disappointment.

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst? X-XVI with their auto-start was the worst, each chapter was released with a month between, and had alerts to do. It doesn't make sense to plan out a heist, go to the heist planet, and then go back to base to run around picking up other companions and to turn in crates, for example. Best? I like having companions shared across classes, wish I could have Pierce around my Trooper solely to have a Bastion one-up competition because Pierce helped capture it, and Trooper took it back. And a BH I have would enjoy having Forex around so she could mock his patriotic chants.

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well? Never ran in an Op.

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so? I dunno, I kinda feel Ops were sort of less accessible to players who were new to the content.

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges? I dunno, but if they didn't they'd be Flashpoints, wouldn't they?

III) PVP

1) Was the Odessen map a satisfying addition to PVP? I liked running into Knights on my Impside characters on the same team, and once I understood the map, it was fun to run in.

2) A new arena map was added. Was this a satisfying addition, or do the lack of new objectives make it same-ol', same-ol'?Arena maps differ beyond looks?

3) If you are an active PVP player, did the Major Pierce/M1-4X mission impact your gameplay positively, negatively, or not at all? They got me started into PvP, and then I started running characters at lower levels into PvP which was more fun. Jumping straight into 65 PvP was not a smart plan on my part, but I did so at a time where PvP'ers were a bit more understanding about it and didn't complain as much. My Healing Operative was called "meh" and I was delighted with that before deciding to try leveling with PvP.

4) Has the new system for Open World PVP made the PVP experience better or worse and how? People OWPvP?

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?I got stuff for running them, so I guess? I ran them for credits and planetary commendations before 4.0.

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse? Worse. I wish there was a way to turn in missions with the conversations instead of the auto-turn-in system. It was a good way to farm some DS/LS points for the achievements or titles on my non-diplomacy characters.

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse? I think it made crafting easier and better. I wish my armstech/amormech/cybertech components weren't tied to their crewskill and that the same Desh Assembly Whatever would work for all three.

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement? Makes leveling them for achievements easier. But I thought that was because I try to craft with companions that have 10+ influence levels.

3) Operation crystals can no longer be learned but can be purchased. Is this good or bad?Never ran in an operation, but I've seen people bemoaning the loss.

VI) Star Fortress

1) The 2+ mode can be soloed, but only if sufficiently geared, skilled, and have a good companion. Does that make it good, to serve as a challenge? Bad, because it does not allow as many solo players to complete? Bad because it provides even fewer needs for grouping?Good, lets solo'ers get the alliance companions if they want, but not so easy that they can wander in with no idea and still win. But I never, even when KotFE first went live, really saw people looking to group for SFs.

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive? Accurate. They all seem to have the same map, for one thing. The planet "unique" bonus missions help mitigate it, but I've not seen much to really make one planet's different than another's.

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder? Yes.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?Makes it faster, but it's only really a detriment for when missions send us to places back to lowbie worlds at midbie/highbie level range missions.

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?I don't do group stuff on planets.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented? I enjoy the four at the base, the others for SF are kinda meh. It was great to see Hylo, Oggwhatevertherestofhisnameis, Aygo (whish Ranken was with him them, but glad when she showed up later), and Sana-Vosslady, again. Wish I could talk back to them with a voice-over.

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?Would have liked to see if leveling them up did more than fill the place and change a few ambient dialogue bits. Though the cantina reward things with The Terminal giving Blue and Purple crystals was nice.

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?I'd like to see leveling them up being more useful to the KotFE story.

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad? Great. I finally got Broonmark, Scourge, Skadge, Vik, Forex, Rusk, and almost all of Consular/Inquisitor companions through their 1000 kills because I primarily used a handful of companions.

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?I'm not a numbers cruncher, but I feel that they're mostly pretty well balanced. though they heal better than I do because I don't know what I've doing most of the time.

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad?Bad that certain companion dialogues have been broken - Torian, for example. And I don't like how I generally have to finish a planet before unlocking another conversation - Pierce's was annoying for that.

4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system?I'm less likely to consider the companions as much now, but I generally like to see what would work and fit the character as well as gain the most influence ut of the companions at the same time.

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?I've only gotten to about 25 or so.

6) Companion gear no longer affects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why? Bit of both. Cheaper for me, but it was fun setting up companions in gear for the role I had them in.

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?More. I have one for SCORPIO that I like, and certain companions have features I don't care for. Some companions I got used to seeing as they are, so I don't use customizations for them.

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?More choices for all!

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad?I don't really focus much on Conquests. If I reach it, cool, if not, cool.

2) KOTFE has also reduced the point requirement in many Conquest events. Was this good or bad?See above.

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?See above. I also only have four strongholds at about 20-50% decorated.

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad?I like it. Easier to grind out that reputation.

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?Got me into GSF, grouping for FPs. Other than that, I just do stuff for the EXP gear and the reward crates.

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?I came in during the second year of SWTOR.

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent?A little disappointed, since it was popular and a pretty credit sync. Would have been great if it was updated as well.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you? Only ran it once to Round 5 for DvL.

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly? Meh, so-so. Looking forward to picking up Bowdaar on a Smugg who will run through KotFE eventually.

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why? Makes getting those higher-ranks gear sets easier, I admit, but so far, I ran it on a DvL character I'm not attached enough to do more.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?I liked having more, but for the most part they were fluff I didn't really care for.

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least? Most: Niko, the purple-black crystals. Least: HK-55 posters, helmet

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations5, I don't run them, but I like the idea of someday running in them.

2) Flashpoints7, was fun repeatable stuff to break up the HEroics grind.

3) Galactic StarfighterFound this to be more fun that expected, 9

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars5, would prefer to have a solo-able end to these that don't require paying people millions I don't have or the highest level of gear I don't have for not running in Operations.

5) Reputation Leveling5 If the vendors are updated, I like doing these and pre-DvL did these more than heroics grinding while leveling up alts.

Responses in green. Have fun!

Wow, great post I just couldn't help but respond. Hopefully it will be seen by those who can take this on board. In the nature of preserving some space I will use the spoiler tags to roll things up.

Story Content

1) This was very much like the original expansion release, but once completed, which was quick, you had to wait for sometime before the next chapter. Playing all 16 chapters now one after the other was more like an expansion but it would be nice if they didn't include the way it starts with a button and a dialog. I would rather it has speak to this character when the mission is released, much like all expansions are, it would give the entire story, from Original to Hutts, Dread Masters, Revan expansions a more seamless transition. Also very nit picky but the chapters should have continues, we hade Chapters 1 - 3 for main story, Chapter 4 was Rise of Hiutt Cartel, Chapter 5 was Dread Masters and Chapter 6 was Revan, so, continuing from the next chapter would have been handy.

2) The time delay is all I have some chapters were very short, and you burnt through then quickly and then you had nothing for the entire month. I did like the cycle, but with the chapter providing something new, like a new daily that can be done in that area where the mission takes place might have helped a little.

3) Story wise, it was good. I have not had an issue with any of the story content released ever for SWTOR. The new "classic" dialogue was not great, it is something you get used to eventually but I loved hearing my characters voice, immersed me a little more, not I stand there with back to camera, I know why they did it, cost of voice talent, but still was nice to have everything fully voiced. The worst part of the story was choices, telling us this time the choices you make really matter but we have seen thread around showing that they do not in the end, it might later in KOTET but then we may have forgotten what we chose and why, having played KOTFE completely there were things I said and did I noticed did have consequences but waiting a month between each chapter made it difficult to remember.

Group Content

1) I did not have an issue with the changes to operations, but I was in decent gear prior to 4.0 and then after I had to re-gear just for story mode. And Hard Mode is slightly more difficult to get the gear for, which is fine.

2) They are a little less accessible to the average player. Yes, you can start at level 50 and use the bolster. But in my opinion they didn't need to do this. Having level 50 operations, EV, KP, TFB and EC they were great at 50 and being level 60 you could fly through it. Level 55 with SV, DF and DP was another step above, which created a greater challenge then level 60 was Rav and TOS. Each story mode should have remained at those levels, giving players the ability to gear for each and be rewards with gear for the next tier. HM and NiM could have been scaled to 65 and require the best gear to complete. But they scaled it because they knew no new operations were coming with 4.0 or any chapter within, so needing to scale the operations to the current level was needed.

3) HM and NiM I believe offer significant challenge but with no new operations you are finding that it will slowly become less of a challenge. But if they plan on releasing no new operations which is my prediction since they have only EVER spoken of "group content" they will rescale them, we will regrind for gear to play them and we will complete them as we have before.

PvP

1) It was, I liked it.

2) Yeah it was OK. More maps = better variety therefore you are less likely to get bored.

3) It was the one things I didn't like. Forcing people to PvP just to get companions and 20 matches no less, since I am more a PvE player than PvP I can't judge how this impacted those playing unranked. But being not a large PvP player I found it very tiresome to complete 20 PvP matches before getting the companion.

4) Don't know. Never used it.

Heroic Missions

1) It didn't make it relevant, but is made it accessible. I like the heroics terminal, getting the missions and being able to complete the Heroics with ease was good. But they needed more, a couple more Heroics on Rishi, Yavin IV, Ziost, Zakuul would have been nice.

2) I did like the transport straight to the location, made it fast.

3) They could have an option to when you first complete the heroic provide the ability to transport to the giver of the quest so you can get the story aspect of it then after that, provide a direct transport to complete the mission.

Crafting

1) I believe the changes to the crafting was simplified and it didn't matter what level you were you could get materials on any planet, this meant I was no longer just under the requirement to getting materials for nodes which happened often.

2) This was good.

3) Never really worried before.

Star Fortress

1) 2+ I think is fine, it is difficult and the fact that there is an achievement to complete the heroic solo without any aids so just you a companion. So it was always going to be completed solo. But like the Arena on Zakuul, they needed a proper group level, one designed for 4 players. That would have been better.

2) I will say it is, the layouts are the same but the end fights a very similar to each other the process of getting to the exarch is the same, the only differences is the 2 levels prior.

3) Yes.

Level Sync

1) No

2) No

Alliance Specialists

1) That is OK. I don't have anything glowing about it or anything negative to say.

2) Yes. I don't mind them.

3) They need to have their influence higher than 20 though. And Provide perhaps some specific missions you can do for them that suits their role in the alliance. More than the crates you are collecting for them.

Companions

1) Don't mind this. But more than ever it means you will raise the influence of a specific companion and run with them, especially if you can use that companion for all roles. There are some characters who are not good at certain roles, eg. HK-51 is a terrible tank, he has an aggro dump, he leaps to the enemy, attacks and leaps back and goes invisible, not the best for a tank.

2) The higher influence, like above 20 the companion healer is very good. Even a DPS will struggle to die against most enemies (there are some who are still an issue).

3) But higher influence makes them more effective at crew skills and fighting. So it hasn't changed it a great deal.

4) Depends on the role. I have rarely worried about the views of my companions since my character is playing a specific type, but possibly less now.

5) It takes a lot of companions gifts to get them up to 50 I have only one character HK-55 who is 48 and it takes a lot. But getting them to 50 isn't needed since I think from 30 up you barely notice.

6) I like it but they need the new companions to have the ability to change their gear. Lana, Koth, etc...

7) I still use customisation on certain characters because I don't like the way they look, Corso.

8) Not fussed.

Conquest and Strongholds

1) I do like that, but now, you just see the same guilds at the top of the leader-boards. By removing the crafting element it comes down to sheer numbers of the guilds. And no one else can compete.

2) I don't mind that, but they need to look at it from the point of view of, if I craft I can hit my 20K target, if I PvE, I can hit my 20K target, if I PvP I can hit my 20K target.

3)I have 4 of them at 100% and getting Yavin to 100% will be just filling it up with junk.

Events

1) Better.

2) I liked it, but the implementation of it was not the best. It meant to get the best rewards you had to do all 8 characters again, I have done them, all before, twice, for them to ask players to do it again. It was just annoying.

3) More events, intrusive or non-intrusive don't care just want more events, the DvL is not really an event as such in comparison to the Nightlife, Chevin, Rakghoul, Gree and Bounty. Bounty need to expand, more contracts to kill, harder ones to kill. Include ones that might be a challenge solo so getting some backup helps.

Eternal Championship

1) It was OK, tricky to do solo with certain classes due to the wait the threat works.

2) Not really. I did it repeatedly to get Bowdaar, but once I hit influence 10, that was it, I never went back to it.

3) Not really, the gear you get from it, not that good, though I have not complete the 10th round.

Subscriber Rewards

1) HK Rewards, they were OK, I did like the HK mission, this was worth it in some ways. But the subscriber rewards, technically what we received for being a subscriber was KOTFE plus some extras.

2) The poster was not the best. The helmet was OK but what it needed was a full armour, or at least chest piece boots and legs. Have HK-55 companion and have me look like HK-55

Absent Content

1) Operations, 9 - They needed more operations no operation since TOS which was now 2014, so when KOTET comes it will be 2 years since our last operation. What would have been a good way, end of Ziost and operation to defeat the Emperor which could have lead into KOTFE would might have made some more sense other than oh, Valkorian is Vitiate, it didn't make sense at the moment.

2) Flashpoints 7 - Star Fortress was as close to a FP we got, making all FP solo was not adding more FPs to the game, and the last ones we got were Bloodhunt and Battle of Rishi. So, we need more

3) Galactic Starfighter, 7 - Not a lot of love given and it is good. I think blending Flashpoints and Starfighter maps together might work well but they need a few more maps.

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinocular, 7 - I liked these, but it is difficult to find a group of 4 to do these heroics at the end, so perhaps Heroic 2+ might be good. But they need more, use of these.

5) Reputation, 5 - I like Rep, but at the moment there is only thing you get for reputation is specific gear, which is good, but perhaps some special heroics missions to help make things more diverse.

I hope this is enough. Great post, long but needed I think.

I) Story content - Story should be released in large batches. It was incredibly easy to figure out the contents of the next chapter each month, especially after the teases started being released by Bioware. I thought the concept was worth a try, but was very lame as it played out over the course of a year. If Bioware was actually making other content and could hype that instead while being 100% silent on story, perhaps this would be a bit better. But most of us still guessed how the majority of KotFE's plot would go before 4.0 even released and especially after the initial 4.0 batch of chapters.

II) Group content - Operations took a beating in 4.0. The lack of new content scared away many PvE focused players. guilds are decimated and no longer able to carry inexperienced players as easily as they did in earlier years, so every day fewer and fewer people really know how to play in operations. Flashpoints were entirely irrelevant this year as there was 0 reason to gear up and even if you wanted to gear up there was no gear in the flashpoints worth having. Overall I'd say group PvE content was a 95% failure in 4.0 cycle.

III) PVP - the additional maps were good. Did not notice too much of a change in the experience of PvP on The Shadowlands. This phase of the game is on auto-pilot mode.

IV) Heroic Missions - while this content is boring and worn out now, it was a good way to have dailies in 4.0. However, these obviously need to be balanced to where rewards are equivalent to the time spent in them and that grouping is not incentivized. This is clearly solo level difficulty and should not award people that overkill it in a group.

V) Crafting - crafting is just a money maker. It is of no benefit to my character other than to make money to spend on cosmetic items. Can we please introduce legendary weapons or armour with stat & ability customization to provide a clear long term progression path into crafting? We've literally gone backwards every year on crafting so far to where it's just a joke right now.

VI) Star Fortress - These were awful. Just 6 versions that seemed identical of easy solo content in boring hallway designs. Only the Exarchs were remotely interesting mechanically. This was clearly not group content as it was something most soloed right away without any adversity.

VII) Level Sync - I don't like level sync but it's harmless enough most of the time. It did ruin certain class quests that returned to earlier planets. Since there is no group content on level synced planets, I don't really have any opinion on it's group impact.

VIII) Alliance Specialists - completely useless. they are just prize dispensers nearly 1 year after they were implemented. Shouldn't there be a point to these by now?

IX) Companions - This was the worst decision of the 4.0 cycle. Taking away unique aspects from companions has made it so meaningless which one we use. All we do now is roll with the one we like most visually. Where is the RPG elements in choosing companions based on specific skill sets?

X) Conquest and Strongholds - with the drastic decrease in PvE content, most guilds have died. I know as I've inherited a couple of guild leader roles via system auto-assignment. This system relies upon healthy thriving guilds to make it interesting, but with what we have now it's in hibernation mode. Plus, we have to want the rewards which are now lackluster. There are several better ways to earn credits now.

XI) Events - These have been stale for 2-3 years. DvL is not an event but just a prize dispenser and was a huge insult to current subscribers. Events need to constantly refresh the prize pools at a minimum to get people to participate, but to keep them entertained they have to be improved mechanically as well.

XII) Eternal Championship- This was pretty good. It's a reasonable challenge and does provide a nice measuring stick to your ability level and gear sufficiency of your characters. The prize pool is weak though. If the decorations weren't holograms but actual personnel this would be much better. I'd definitely like to see a level 2 of this in KotET.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards - Subscriber rewards have always been pathetic compared to cartel market items. An appropriate subscriber reward should be a gold level cartel item each month and on a really awful content drought month, like for instance October 2016, we should get a platinum level reward. Why are we paying $15 in October for 0 content?????

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations 9

2) Flashpoints 10

3) Galactic Starfighter - 8

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars 6 - just fix the prize pools, no new areas needed

5) Reputation Leveling - 7

This is my assement to all fourteen:

KOTFE/ET was designed to attract mostly single (new) player Level 60's using KOTOR elements.

The issue with "group content" is too many servers with low populations and few groups. Throw into the mix that there is a sizeable population will not do raids due to complexity and undergearing, or will stick too the four "easy" raids (EV, KP, DF, DP).

I) Story content

1 and 2)

Don't know. I resubbed two months ago after leaving just after SOR, so the only thing I "waited" for was Ch. 16. Except I hadn't even started KOTFE when it was released.

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst?

Warning: rant incoming :p

Best: snappy dialog that didn't leave me wincing like the class/planet stories used to. There wasn't a single, "Lives are being lost while this profit is being made." So, yay! Had a lot of fun with the Vette/Gault chapter and enjoyed meeting Aric Jorgan with my SW. Some of the Alliance alerts were a ton of fun, especially Blizz and Guss' separate alerts. Great rewards with Alliance specialists. It made heroics almost worth doing.

Worst: No feeling of agency. Some parts of the story felt out of order: going on happy fun Force adventures with Satele and Darth Marr, and raiding treasuries while my newbiest newb recruits performed THE most vital mission were ridiculous. Too many companions and I couldn't even use half of them when I wanted! Ch 15's balance was WAY off difficultywise, and I HATE HATE HATE environmental puzzles. Skytroopers. So many Skytroopers with ridiculous ranges of fire. You can't even get a second to check your map before they're on you.

Vaylin. She gets her own worst line. Every time I hear her, I see little Alia Atreides dancing on the sands of Arrakis saying, "Because he's the Kwizatz Haderach!" Ick.

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

Probably. I like the rewards, but ugh, they're tedious to the extreme. Just like they've always been.

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

YES! YES! YES! More transports please! I think if the transports weren't there, I'd probably skip heroics completely, even with the great rewards.

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

Half the time they'd sit in my quest log until they greyed out before I used to do them back around 3.0, so I never even remembered what they were for in the first place. So nothing feels particularly off to me.

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse?

Well, I'm starting to craft now, so I guess that's a yes. I've always been more of a sliceer/gatherer.

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement?

I haven't noticed. But if that's true, then YES, it's a huge improvement.

I've never even tried the 2+ mode. But after experiencing the tedium of the solo version, I probably won't.

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive.

Oh gods yes. I did the 6 fortress weekly once. I tried it a second time, but couldn't take it again after doing two of the six. Minor tweaks to the interior for each planet doesn't change the endless grindiness of it.

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder?

Sure, why not? It'll give groups more to do.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

In general, yes. I hate level sync in flashpoints, though. I used to be able to speed through Esseles/Black Talon at level 15-17 and Taral/Maelstrom/Boarding/Foundry, but now it takes forever even with the droid in solo mode. I can't solo anything else anymore, aside from the few that have been updated with the droid. That means I've lost a lot of story, and I'll never try the solo version of Directive 7. Before I left, I soloed it once or twice with a level 60, and it was easy to whip through.

I really love it on the planets, though. And I love the re-engineering of class/planet quest XP. Leveling's a blast now, and I don't get planet fatigue anymore.

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

Don't group-- I can't answer that.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

The rewards are good. The base is too big, so it feels like you're running forever if you have crates for more than one Alliance Specialist. Enjoy their personalities. Don't like that you have to individually turn in boxes, rather than just having a single option to turn everything in. Really like the implementation of transporting directly to the Specialist. I hope Bioware will continue with that.

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

They're excellent. But I'm always game for higher rewards *hint hint*

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

Fix Oggur-whatsit's bug re: Broonmark. Listening to that blowhard blather every time I go turn in crates has made me stop going.

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad?

It's GREAT. It's WONDERFUL. :D Sorry to shout, but I love, love, love this change. It took me forever to level a Sentinel the old way, and I never got a smuggler past Quesh until now. Having a healer with a flimsy class is a godsend.

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?

No idea. I haven't tried to level a healer with a DPS companion.

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad?

Influence still has the same impact as affection, though, so I still keep kissing up. And with more "influence" levels, it's even more devastating to take a hit. And expensive.

4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system?

I kiss up a lot more. Gifts used to undo a lot of affection damage at a relatively low credit outlay. But now, the difference between getting +65 influence vs. +1000 or more in each conversation can be thousands of credits or 15-20 data crystals (4 or 5 heroics)

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?

This change I despise. Every time I get a new companion, I have to spend ungodly amounts of credits, time and patience at the gift vendor. And my carpal tunnel gets worse. I've been using my cartel coin grants as unlocks on every single gift + influence perk, plus spending close to a million on each companion just to cut down on gift giving times. The credit part wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take so many gifts and mouse clicks and "Wow. Great gift. Wow." repetitions.

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?

It's great! I hated micromanaging gear-- and paying for it in comms or credits.

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?

Doesn't change anything. If I like the default companion look, I keep it. I don't care if I have one of a billion samey-same companions. If I hate it, I buy a customization-- fast! Ugh, Corso, ugh.

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?

Don't really care, honestly. I am sick of having so many companions, though. I want my old favorites back.

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad?

I hate the rakghoul event. I hate that it's even more frequent now. Other than that, it's probably good. The Gree event has come up twice since I resubbed, but I still haven't tried it.

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?

It's pushing me to finish class stories because I want the handy little title. I'm not bothering with the tiered rewards, though. I refuse to do all the flashpoints in groups. Nope. I don't want to be a story in the "Weird People You Meet in Group Finder."

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?

The current rakghoul event is too intrusive already. It was pure torture going through Alderaan with my BH the other day.

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent?

Never experienced one, so I have no idea.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

I ground the first two levels over and over to get Bowdaar, and that was it. Never made it through level 3, and gave up.

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

No, beyond getting Bowdaar once. I don't think I'll ever do it again. I'm debating even finishing KOTFE a second time on my smuggler.

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

No. I'm a mediocre player, and the event is designed for people who are at least moderately good. So I never saw anything worthwhile, and since I hate boss fights in general, I probably never would.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

Haven't been around long enough to get any of them. I'd take them if I was, but I don't actually care that much. Watched the bonus chapter on YouTube, and Z0-0M annoyed me, so no great loss ;)

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

Disclaimer: personally, I don't care about any of these, but my rating is for the sake of the community.

1) Operations 10.

Happy raiders = happy community. There's nothing but positives here if these folks can get one thing they want. The climate on each server can only improve.

2) Flashpoints 6

3) Galactic Starfighter 4

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars 1

5) Reputation Leveling 2

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad? Good for giving them time to put it all together into a cohesive narrative.

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered? Bad for narrative, good for player retention and maintaining interest in the game.

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst? Best: Companions; strong characters and a number of side choices for rejecting or killing. Worst: Too little detail attention to your character and too much feeling like a piece of the story, rather than a person.

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions? I enjoy them (mostly the credits from them :p).

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement? I was shocked in a good way that they had these. Wonderful idea.

3) Operation crystals can no longer be learned but can be purchased. Is this good or bad? Certain missing crystals and the inability to acquire their schematics is annoying to me. I wasn't around when they were all in the game, or I would probably have a lot them through grandfathering. It doesn't help that the CM crystals are level 10 restricted.

I've done two so far, in total, ever. I managed to solo them without too much trouble, but the word "tedious" comes to mind. Much of my time spent was doing repetitive rotations. Few moments were actually difficult (mind you, I was doing it on a 208 geared scoundrel with a level 50 healing companion). The pre-boss part got iffy with getting overwhelmed both times, but that was more or less the only real fear. Heroic Moment is amazing. Winky face.

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive. Well, so far, they seem to be a reskin, with slightly different level design. It means that there's no appeal for me to do all of them. I probably will get them all done, once, to be completionist, but I can't see myself going back a lot. Definitely not solo.

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder? Doing so would just skew the queues to have a high chance of getting repetitive FPs. So no. Not in the state they are in right now.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented? No complaints come to mind.

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient? It's a nice bonus. Sufficient.

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad? I didn't see them much prior, so it's fine with me. I like being able to pull out any of them, without concern for having the right role on hand.

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad? It is still affected though. "Approves" gives +200 (base), "Disapproves" gives +50 (base). So I still find myself choosing certain options for the influence gain.

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why? I like it. Customization is easy and I don't have to worry about gearing them.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you? It was ok.

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly No, not really.

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why? I think the rewards are good, but I don't feel compelled to seek them out. Perhaps if there was an EC rep grind and maybe a cool new dye at high rank rep.

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad?

this works for me

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered?

good

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst?

surprise ending, weapon based on your choices - more ways to implement different choices would be welcomed.

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

They're fine

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so?
Operations are one of my favorite parts of the game. So, I appreciate that average players can play, but I like having Hard Mode or even NiM mode.

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges?
so far, yes

III) PVP

1) Was the Odessen map a satisfying addition to PVP?

I haven't even seen it. Pvp is toxic. The cheating and hating is just too much.

2) A new arena map was added. Was this a satisfying addition, or do the lack of new objectives make it same-ol', same-ol'?
Haven't seen it either

3) If you are an active PVP player, did the Major Pierce/M1-4X mission impact your gameplay positively, negatively, or not at all?
I only pvp under duress so have neither of them.

4) Has the new system for Open World PVP made the PVP experience better or worse and how?
I like that there's always another instance, but you know you take your chances going there. It's fine.

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

I like it because I skipped so many leveling.

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?
definitely

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse

meh but tilting toward worse. A short convo so you at least know why you're doing it...

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse?

crafting has never been bioware's forte. It's fine as is. whatever.

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement?
it's fine.

3) Operation crystals can no longer be learned but can be purchased. Is this good or bad?
I think anything that can be crafted should be promoted over things that can be purchsed. The Cartel Market gutted the crafting in this game.

I haven't done enough of them to say. Most of my guildies have gone to play other games until the new content comes out. That should say something. It makes doing group content more difficult.

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive.

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder?

#2 dont' know. #3 no.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

I like it. Keeps the bullies out of the playground.

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?
can't comment. Problem with grouping = low population

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

it's fine. it is what it is.

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient
fine

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?
no

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad?

I prefer they specialize. I also miss some special attacks they had that made certain (hk-51) special.

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?
Roles? I haven't used dps much. Tanking seems okay, better on comps that used to tank. Healing better on comps that used to heal.

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad?
they are affected some. at least your originals are. just not negatively. slower positive progression instead.

4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system?
less likely.

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?
I heard 50 was bugged. I have not gone past 30 on any.

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?
It means I vendor a lot more real gear. But with this many companions it might be a nightmare.

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?
They're still class specific until you finish your story.

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?
I like it. But I want some of them back. I miss Nadia and Kira.

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

Definitely Good

2) KOTFE has also reduced the point requirement in many Conquest events. Was this good or bad?
mostly good. there are still some that require 50,000

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?
Mine are all fit for better homes and gardens.

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad?

for acquiring certain companions or certain rewards, it's good. But not enough variety.

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?
I've played more.

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?
Chevin ++ I would love to see that again. It was a blast. More variety and more to do.

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent
Unhappy I wasn't here for the one so I don't know what it was like.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

it's okay

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly
maybe

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?
the armors you can get with the trophies are cool looking.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent

something grander less frequent.

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?
HK55 most. some of the other gear, I've never used. I might.

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations

definitely need more

2) Flashpoints
yeah but not as bad as ops

3) Galactic Starfighter
it's like they abandoned this. Sad.

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars
they did change some of the rewards for digging. Most folks don't know I guess. been getting some good mats. But again, I'd like more.

5) Reputation Leveling
like for companions? it sucks.

Answers follow.

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad?

Terrible. I wouldn't have minded if it was just a month, maybe two, but I get the impression they were deliberately trying to drag it out as much as possible, counting on players grinding the Star Fortress missions to kill time.

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered?

Monthly wasn't too bad, but all at once would have been way better, especially given how utterly broken Anarchy in Paradise and Disavowed were (and still are).

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst?

Best aspect was the massive amount of world-building that went on, raising questions as to where the Eternal Fleet, and the Gravestone came from, and the ominous nature of the latter given the dark heart inside and the fact that, though silent, SCORPIO actually regards its intelligence as comparable to her own (think carefully how many time's she's said that about anyone/thing).

Worst was the complete lack of agency the main character had. Every idea had was either Theron or Lana's, every mission you go on is to help someone else (Kaliyo, Jorgan, Gault and Vette). Bioware was afraid to have the main character make pro-active decisions without player-input, but we can't exactly come up with plans either, so neither the player nor the protagonist have agency.

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so?

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges?

I've only just started doing ops on a semi-regular basis, so I can't comment on this with authority.

III) PVP

1) Was the Odessen map a satisfying addition to PVP?

Hated it with a passion at first, then it's slowly become one of my favorites. Way more balanced for reasons I'll go into with Pierce/4-X.

2) A new arena map was added. Was this a satisfying addition, or do the lack of new objectives make it same-ol', same-ol'?

Meh.

3) If you are an active PVP player, did the Major Pierce/M1-4X mission impact your gameplay positively, negatively, or not at all?

Pierce is the one who actually got me into PvP in the first place, and now I do it nearly every day and have valor rank 52 on my main, and over 25 on several others, and over 3000 kills across various maps. 4-X on the other hand, is a nightmare. I don't know WHY Republic teams are so bad (at least on my server), but I have yet to get 4-X on any of my three pub toons going through KotFE because it's just demoralizing loss after loss. This is one of the reasons I like the Odessen map, because we now get a usually even mix of players from both factions, and as a result the win-loss results when I'm on that map are fairly even.

4) Has the new system for Open World PVP made the PVP experience better or worse and how?

I can't even put into words how good it feels to be able to never see a yellow or red-tag player anymore unless I'm in ranked gear myself. It gives players the choice of when they want to engage or not, and anything that gives the player agency in how they play is a good thing.

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

Yes. A lot of the best gear from those missions still hasn't come back, and some of the storytelling is broken not being able to turn the missions ourselves, but at least it gives the player something to do, with major incentives to group up for them again.

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

God yes.

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

I would rather this be something the player can choose to toggle. It no longer feels like a mission so much as busy-work.

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse?

Better, if I had to pick.

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement?

It was a necessity given how long higher-level missions were taking.

3) Operation crystals can no longer be learned but can be purchased. Is this good or bad?

Undecided.

This game desperately needs goals and challenges for players to strive for and push themselves against. It doesn't lock-out anything because it can be grouped, but if you want that "The One and Only" title (and I know I do), then you better work and work HARD for it. When I see players with that title, it gives me a reason to keep playing.

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive.

If you're grinding them, more than one per day, then yes. It amazes me the maps are randomized, because every one feels exactly the same. If each had the potential for completely different goals like KDY, then it might be a different story.

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder?

God yes.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

Having unlocked all class mission comp bonuses and found every datacron, I can pretty much solo heroics on Korriban at Lv 10 with no weapon equipped (just "unarmed" legacy punching attacks), so Lv sync does absolutely nothing to make earlier planets a challenge for me. My max-lv Mara in ops gear can slaughter room-fulls of gold elites in heroics with the comp on passive. Obviously new players might have a much different story, but speaking only for myself the only thing Lv sync has done is make the class-missions boss fights, the ones you spend your entire class story getting to, a complete joke.

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

It's had zero effect.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

Could use improvement. A lot of improvement. Short of raiding Star Fortresses, there is almost no time when this comes into play.

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

There need to be a lot more tangible rewards in terms of gameplay and mechanics for doing this. The one time I did see this was when you could use the connections you built up with Hylo to cut the recruitment of Rusk in half. This was brilliant and absolutely needs to happen a lot more.

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

Have your influence with them actually affect elements of the playthrough, and for God sake, someone shut Oggurrub up! I AM SICK OF HEARING HIS WHINING ABOUT BROONMARK!!!

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad?

I wouldn't mind this if they had things they were better at (which the classic comps, and the new ownes that are just reskins of the old, do), or if they still had moves unique to them, like HK-51's Assassinate, and Bowdar's "wookie toss", which I never ever got tired of seeing.

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?

Not an expert on this.

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad?

It undermines Bioware's entire message of choices having consequences. Yes, Vette may "greatly disapprove" of me choking that Oragna general's loved one in front of her, but does that even matter now?

4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system?

It no longer even matters, and if this had been in place from the start then my main character would likely be a far less morally complex individual.

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?

It is a massive investment of time and resources, but gives a massive advantage as well.

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?

It's a major step forward and takes a huge weight off the player from having to keep them equipped.

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?

I don't know what this is in reference to.

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

Not my area of expertise.

2) KOTFE has also reduced the point requirement in many Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

Some of these conquest events can take a large investment of time to complete even on one character, much less if you have two or more in a guild. Making it so you can more realistically hit goals on multiple characters, or one if you're pressed for time.

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?

I barely finished decorating one, you people are nuts.

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad?

Very good. It makes the events and the incentives more accessible.

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?

It made me completely abandon my old characters so I could try hitting goals on the new one(s), which wasn't really fun. The whole thing was a massive grind that I was happy to be rid of upon reaching Eternal Level.

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?

I don't remember the more intrusive version of the Rhakghoul event, or Chevin.

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent?

Completely indifferent, though the in-game economy could have really used a good credit sink this year.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

I'm not a big fan of overly-complicated fight mechanics. The best thing I can say about them is it's decent training for operation bosses. Other than that I'm indifferent and get it over quickly just to get Bowdar.

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

No.

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

I haven't even looked at most of them.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

I could care less.

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

Nico is just a trophy to rub in peoples' faces and brought nothing in terms of story or effect on gameplay. Locking him away as a sub rewqard just means we'll never get story content with him in the future. The coat and guns are alright. The HK gear is spectacularly ugly, especially the jetback which actually looks better the lower you have the graphics.

XIV) Absent Content

I've made 14 categories with questions for each to offer suggestions. Don't feel you have to answer all of them, I just tried to cover as many things as I could think of.

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad? Good to release lots at one go. poor railroading one-story-fits (sic) all

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered? good release timing, poor content size.

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst?

The new characters where interesting, but the story was god- awful. The railroading was really bad and the 'choices matter' was just smoke and mirrors. The removal of companions and the grind to get them back was idiotic. Moving the timeline on 5 years, but not changing any of the planets when you went back there was too big a suspension of disbelief. Don't even get me started on muting the main protagonist. - It felt like old text-adventures from the 80's when our character lost their voice. - It's 2016 F.F,S !

II) Group content

For me KOTFE killed all group content as we ( guild) all did ( forced) solo story and stopped playing.

III) PVP

1) Was the Odessen map a satisfying addition to PVP? It's okay, but too random. if you luck out and get the right power up and guess the right place to use it, you're almost always guaranteed a win.

2) A new arena map was added. Was this a satisfying addition, or do the lack of new objectives make it same-ol', same-ol'? I think arena format is only really suited for trinity pre-mades. Anything else is pot-luck coz low population makes matchmaking impossible. As such it's my least fave type of PvP. - and Rishi arena isn't even the best arena map.

3) If you are an active PVP player, did the Major Pierce/M1-4X mission impact your gameplay positively, negatively, or not at all? I PvP a lot on my main characters, ( and have troopers) so getting pierce wasn't an issue. It was a good idea to introduce PvP, but made a lot of 'care-bear' PvE-ers RUIN PvP by sitting in a corner and not taking part. I almost wish I had it in me to do the same to ruin their operations and FPs. Luckily it's all but stopped now.

4) Has the new system for Open World PVP made the PVP experience better or worse and how? Pfft! what OW PvP? Even on well-populated servers I hardly ever see PvP flagged players. To get 'spontaneous OW PvP you have to spend several weeks organizing it.

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions? Yes. For a couple of weeks.

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement? yup saves time. - but for that reason only.

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse? I know a lot of people skipped them, but it'd be nice to have the option to watch or skip

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse? Haven't noticed much difference TBH. Tho' the changes made a lot of mats in stock almost obsolete - having hoarded 1000s of some things.

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement? I don't craft nearly so much these days, but it lets people flood the market quickly.... FWIW

I found it pretty easy.... long and boring, but not too taxing to solo.

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive.

different bosses, different mechanics, different layout ( map) different mobs... ( oh look more skytroopers- yawn!) Better rewards for doing them, shorter time needed to complete.

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder? might as well. But I spend a fair bit of time on Odessan, and haven't seen anyone asking to group up for one in ages. - Either it's too easy or people have become bored going through them.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not? no real change to leveling. a couple of new characters have reached 50 by around Nar Shadaar coz of GSF and PvP XP. ( + guild bonus etc)

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets? no

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented? it was a thinly disguised ruse to get us to do H2s endlessly. - when you got them all to rank 20 you got a speeder. so after a month or so, the novelty wore off and the fact it was a shameless recycle was very clear.

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient? some old armour and a mount. - Yay! be still my racing heart. - nope. Wasn't worth the time, didn't make much difference to anything

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists? They could have them become companions maybe - At least Hylo and Shana ray and Aygo. - but it's not like we haven't got companions coming out of our ears already.

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad? okay idea, but taking away their unique skills was stupid.

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?

DPS comp FTW. - You have to be a really awful player if you NEED a pocket healer everywhere you go.

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad? don't have an opinion either way. Since I don't level much anyways nowadays.

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?

It's okay. 50 is the new 10. - it's not hard to do, or even really necessary. A rank 5 companion is more than adequate. A 50 just mows down mooks faster.

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?

I liked the swapping gear around legacy, but it was a bit of an unnecessary time sink, so I'm kinda glad it's gone.

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific? I'm glad, but some haven't 'returned' so a bounty hunter can't have Risha or a knight can't have Quinn for instance. - some classes got a lot back, others are still waiting.

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad? good

2) KOTFE has also reduced the point requirement in many Conquest events. Was this good or bad? okay. my guild isn't big enough to compete properly, but the 20K goal is a breeze even without crafting.

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them? fill with junk FTW.

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad? okay, but they're old and tired and need revision.

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?

the rewards at level 25 were awful random rubbish so I stopped soon after.

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?

Don't remember rakghoul, though I was playing at the time. Chevin was fun while it lasted.

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent? only 1 achieve I haven't got, and If I wanted a rancor mount I'd just pony up the credits, so not bothered that it didn't happen. It was obviously too hard for BW even to repeat it for a 3rd year running, let alone make new prizes and achieves.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you? okay learning the fights. but too predictable once you'd one that.

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly nope.

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why? nope. Not bothered by lame rewards. Some of the decos were okay tho.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

OMG! give me more HK themed stuff /sarcasm.

Sub rewards were piss-poor seeing as the content was so very thin and the timescale long.

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

Can't say any really got me excited. Bonus chapter was amusing, but the story ( in it) was complete bobbins.

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations 3

2) Flashpoints 10

3) Galactic Starfighter 10

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars 3

5) Reputation Leveling 3

Blimey. Think I wrote an essay. - Overall since this time last year, I'm only subbed to keep playing without restriction. My guild have all drifted off elsewhere, so it's only chatting with friends, PvP and GSF that's keeping me logging on.

Their choices have killed the excitement and wonder, the story was poor the cost-cutting painfully obvious. I see the results every time I log in. - low population, long queues for everything, fleet and planets all but dead even at prime-time. "Oh but everyone's off enjoying the story" is complete BS. The chapters last between a 1/2 hour and an hour. After that there's nothing new to excite anyone. As for re-grinding content for very little: That got old real fast.

I) Story content

The idea of provide 1-9 at once was good. The chapters every month approach was just a way to keep people subbed and terrible. KOTFE story was overall pointless, it was at point zero at start and ended at point 0 as if nothing happened.

II) Group content

Scaling operations was a terrible idea, but i aggre that since there isnt sufficient raid content was the only way. If they do this again (raise lvl cap and not provide new ops) it will be the end of raiding. Why do the same old content again for gear? No point. Prio ops was also a terrible idea. SM has been nerfed to the ground and NiMs were not that challenging since people know the operations by now, for several years.

III) PVP

For me PVP is fun even without new maps since its so unpredictable, but new maps are nice to have. I dont even know about those companions and pvp. The PVE/PVP instances can be writen on BIowares board of the Stupidest ideas ever! Not only it killed PVP servers, but also made a lot of people leave and dislike the game.

IV) Heroic Missions

It didnt make old stuff relevant again, people just grind money, thats all, nothing about re-discovering old content in that! I used the transports to travel around faster and then dropped the mission, it was free quicktravel to a specific location, stupid Bioware....... I never did listen/read to the conversations.

V) Crafting

Changes to crafting were good, made stuff easier, ddint know why it had to be so hard.

VI) Star Fortress

Star Fortress? Ah you mean that heroic or whatever it is, which i all soloed right at start, got all achievments and never came back to it? That was a louse excusse for content. SF was a nice idea for the story, but not as a group or repetitive content, nothing made me come back to it once i got all achievments, which took a few days after launch.

VII) Level Sync

The second thing Bioware should add to their wall of stupid ideas. Its like: Hey guys, we dont have any new content, what will we do? Players are running around instances and oneshoting everything, mobs, world bosses etc. I know lets make their life unecessariliy difficult and annoying buy making lvl sync!! All the scaling and lvl sync was just a cheap excuse for the fact that they cannot offer new content so they will have to be using old stuff again and agian, its just sad.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

I dont even remember this, done it sooooo long ago. I just farmed the heroics and got them to rank 20 on one toon and was done with it, dont even know what they are for.

IX) Companions

The role change on the companions was a good thing, you can at least go with which one you want. Healing and dps is OP but i got used to it, was good for TEC timed run and killing base defences on planets solo. They are affected by dialoge ***? I have been farming solo SM fps and my companion was getting influence from my choices. Rank 50 is no problem you go buy the rank 2 gifts, macro giving them to companion for 4 hours and he is lvl 50 with you and you wasted 2 mil credits for it. Gearing you companion just for looks is good.

X) Conquest and Strongholds

I did all conquest and SH achievments way back and dont have need to go back to it again.

XI) Events

Events are always nice to have, mainly Gree. I did LvsD, but didnt like it, just did it for achievments and that was it. I do miss the NIghtlife Event!!

XII) Eternal Championship

Yes, was enjoyable, for the few hours. I again did all the achievments and had to do KOTFE till chapter 9 with most classes to be able to access it, which was annoying. After doing the achievments i was done with it. I have a few rancors from DP so didnt need to farm the mount drop and got enough tokens from TEC to buy the only good looking weapon (Blaster rifle) that they have added now. However, its good they made a thing like this to show noobs that the game can be hard.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

Not really and HK chapter was incredibly laggy for me, terrible gaming experience.

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) 10 - Operations -

2) 10 - Flashpoints

3) 10 - Galactic Starfighter

4) 1 - Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars

5) 1 - Reputation Leveling

Mate, this is an MMO, that second M stands for MULTIPLAYER, why are you paying a monthly sub for a game that should be played with other people, if you want to do everything solo?? !

What makes you think you're entitled to judge someone by how they play the game, or try to publicly shame them for honestly answering a questionnaire? They pay for it, they're entitled to play however they want and share that experience.

You're not the arbiter of the proper way to enjoy anything, okay?

I) Story content

1) Good

2) also good (i.e. time to do alert missions in between chapters...)

3) best: fast-paced, intense, interesting characters; worst: too many SKYTROOPERS

II) Group content

1) + 2) + 3) N/A (new player, so I haven't played any Operations (yet ^^)

III) PVP

1) + 2) + 4) N/A (see II) )

3) negatively - but because I haven't played PvP yet and would be forced to do so if I want to have these companions again

IV) Heroic Missions

1) yes

2) yes indeed!! (very good)

3) indifferent

V) Crafting

1) better

2) yes, it is an improvement

3) indifferent

VI) Star Fortress

1) indifferent (solo mode is fine to get most of the achievements, so no 2+ needed)

2) accurate and no idea really... maybe add different layouts and enemies (skytroopers anyone) and implement different rewards for the different planets (decoration)?

3) why not, I would queue for the heroic versions - b/c new player hence not skilled enough ^^

VII) Level Sync

1) + 2) N/A (new player, I pnly ever played with level sync

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) They are implemented very well

2) rewards are sufficient

3) indifferent

IX) Companions

1) very good - can choose who I want not who I need

2) don't really know

3) indifferent

4) unaffected

5) indifferent

6) very good - can only imagine how expensive it would have been to keep them geared

7) + 8) N/A

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) + 2) indifferent

3) decorating is fun - so gimme moooaar

XI) Events

1) very good (new player, need to get the rep up ^^)

2) after the initial 'ah, come on I just got to 65 :( ' it actually enhanced my game play (more purposeful)

3) I only know the Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty events - so indifferent

4) no Nightlife Event = very unhappy

XII) Eternal Championship

1) no - rather tedious (finished as soon as I managed to kill Lanos - new player, remember ^^)

2) God, no

3) never managed to beat them all - so N/A

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) + 2) N/A (only a sub since february)

XIV) Absent Content (1 = not caring and 10 = most important):

1) Operations = N/A - but I think group content should be important (=10!) for a MMORPG :p

2) Flashpoints = 7 (but only if they are available in solo mode as well!)

3) Galactic Starfighter = N/A

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars = 1 (too tedious)

5) Reputation Leveling = 7 (I like the rewards that come with it)

Far to many questions so will cut it down.

Over all had no issue with KotFE at all story-wise which really answers a lot of the questions. Or the way it was released.

Crafting.

No did not like changes to crafting at all. Moving craft able items from one skill to another was pointless, as well as BW sticking its two fingers up at the players who had picked crafts they wanted for whatever reason for BW to then change it on a whim.

Less craft mat in 4.0 was just as pointless as they added the need for crafted components to crafts taking away any benefit having less mats had to begin with. Also you level far quicker then the craft level you can gather craft mats now. Crafting for the most part is no longer part of the game for me. There are a few exception such as dyes but otherwise?

Level 60 tokens

Crafting here was the problem again, BW made you take the skills they decided you should have or start from level one. So taking away player choice.

Hated level sync and always will. Added nothing to the game as a solo player but did take away things.

Subscriber Rewards

Well this was never an issue for me, I was subbing anyway with or without any Subscriber Rewards. I like some not all. Not going to complain about free items.

Lastly DvL event. Made no difference to me as a player in what choices I made, because as a solo player I cannot get to the level needed for the companion. So light or Dark became irrelevant when making any in game choice.

Any other questions you have are not relevant to me as a solo player or I don't have an issue with.

Still I play for story so KotFE was fine for me and am looking forward to season 2 very much.

Absolutely fantastic thread, and I hope the Devs check it! Way to go, OP!

1-Good, I enjoyed playing chapters 1-9. Doing doing the Alliance grind more than once is a chore I'd like to avoid, though. On the other hand, the Alliance grind isn't really necessary. You do it for the nice crystal comm rewards and for whatever companion you feel like recruiting, so it's all good so far.

2- I enjoyed having small updates, but mechanics of every chapter needs to be more well-thought. Chapters 10-16 have way to many pointless combat scenes that do nothing but annoy the player.

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so?

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges?

1- Don't do Ops, so I can't really answer.

2- Don't do Ops, so I can't really answer. BUT! I really, really wanted to do Ops, and my guild mates on two servers have dropped out of the game, so I think this means something. What does this means I can't really say.

3- Don't do Ops, so I can't really answer.

1- Yeah, once I got the hang of it. Took me a while.

2- Meh, so-so. I don't really like arena pvp, so I'll chalk it up to "indifferent".

3- Positively! I haven't touched PvP in a while, and the recruiting mission (and the new gearing policy, to be fair) made me return to it, so kudos!

4- Much, much better! Now I don't need to worry about griefers and if I want to quietly slice me some nodes on Yavin I just jump onto my pvp set and go to a pvp instance. Wonderful!

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

1- Oh, yes, a thousand times this!

2- Most definitely!

3- Indifferent on most cases. Still miss some of the quest givers, though.

1- It's very simple and more streamlined now. Much better.

2- Yes.

3- Er, I get why they did this, but I really liked to RE those crystals. Too bad.

1- I liked it overall, but SFs are very repetitive after some time. There are a couple achievements left to get 100% completion and I can't be bothered to try them.

2- Yeah, see above. Maybe if every particular SF was radically different from each other, or if each one had a different set of challenges - or maybe if, like KDY, there were different boss fights and bonus objectives at random. I do like that existing bonus objectives give an Influence boost to your companions.

3- Indifferent, though I don't quite see the point of it.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

1- Level sync was one of the best ideas for this game in a long time. I mean, yeah, there are times where I'd like to just go from point A to point B without aggroing every mob, but this is just a minor inconvenience.

2- Yes.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

1- Interesting question. At first glance I thought Specialist Influence would play a larger role on the fate of the Alliance. It was not so -- and in hindsight I think this was for the best. If we had to do the Alliance grind for every toon not to be penalized by the end of KOTFE that would be a huge letdown that would hold me back from taking more toons through the expac. On the other hand, there are perks to getting Alliance influence at least to 10, which is not so difficult. The new Rusk / Skadge recruitment mission is a good example, as is the SF bonuses.

2- They are OK, I guess.

3- More special effects / conversation choices based on high Alliance influence levels, like the Rusk / Skadge recruitment mission.

1- Excellent change!

2- Not really, though I feel tanking is sub-par comparing to Heals of DPS.

3- This is excellent, because now I can antagonize certain companions I don't like for pure RP purposes without worrying about effectiveness. If all else fails, I can always stuff them with gifts!

4- I'd say less likely, since now I can select answers based on pure RP, instead of selecting what I think the companion wants to hear.

5- It's good. But boy, is it a chore!

6- This is excellent. Gearing companions was a chore worse than the current Influence grind.

7- Eh, indifferent. I don't like most customization choices.

8- More customization is always better than less customization.

1- I get why they did it, but I personally dislike how crafting in Conquests was made less relevant.

2- Good.

3- No. I don't really have a knack to decorate SHs. If I did, I'd probably pursue it with more enthusiasm. The CP bonus is very nice, but it alone does not make me more inclined toward decking my SHs.

1- Very good.

2- I think it enhanced my game. Surely it made me try out Flashpoints again, which I had abandoned still in 2.X. If only the armor pieces and certain other items from the bonus DvL packs would unlock in collections, though...

3- Can't answer; wasn't here for the Chevin event. Less-intrusive does sound better than more-intrusive, though.

4- I'd like to have a new Nightlife Event -- provided there were new prizes. If it's just to repeat what we already had, I'm indifferent.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

1- It was enjoyable, even though I can't get past round 6 :-P

2- I was... until I hit a wall on round 6 and didn't bother anymore.

3- They are OK, but odds are I won't be doing EC again anytime soon (see above for why).

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

1- I'd rather have less rewards, as long as they're more valuable/ useful. Nico the companion, the Nar Shadda SH and the Oggurob statue are awesome. The HK items, less so.

2- See above.

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations

2) Flashpoints

3) Galactic Starfighter

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars

5) Reputation Leveling

1 - 10. I want to try doing Ops sometime, and sooner rather than later. But that will only happen if the raiding crwod is pleased enough to come back to the game.

2- 8.

3- 1. Though it could be at least 7 if there was new missions and some sort of greater integration with the old on-rails space missions.

4 - 1. I don't care the least about the seeker droid missions. I would care more about the Macrobinocular quests if it wasn't for the Heroics at the very end.

5- I'll give this a 5. I don't mind a Rep grind if it is like Section X/ Makeb/ etc. But I have a strong dislike of Rep grinds tied to the Cartel Market.

Didn't bother answering when the thread was posted but I'm gonna try it now.

Can't really give good answers for this. I care very little about KotFE and there was only one chapter which I reached before it was released.

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so?

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges?

1) Does this just refer to SMs being made easier? Or the level scaling?

2) Probably the same, excluding Rav and ToS, since most were lvl 55 or 50.

3) Of course, NiMs are still hard.

1) I don't really like it, but I also barely get it to pop so I haven't tried it much.

2) I didn't even notice there was a new arena for a while.

3) I wasn't around when it got released so I haven't seen its effects.

4) Dead before, dead now.

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

1) Yes

2) Yes

3) Worse because it's not optional.

I've never done much crafting.

1) Good, if it's too hard to solo you can just get a group.

2) Accurate. Giving each Exarch and Paladin a different name and voice doesn't make them feel different.

3) It seems like a good idea.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

1) I was getting 6 XP for easy planet mission before, now I'm getting several thousand XP. So I guess it's good for levelling.

2) There wasn't much group experience before because everything was easy enough to solo.

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

2) Achievements are sufficient for me.

3) Being able to stack the reward boxes... probably some stupid technical limitation though.

1) Good except it doesn't make sense for some comps... Khem or Qyzen would never be healer for example.

2) I think healing in general is more powerful compared to no healing.

3) Good, so you can choose your decisions without caring so much what your comp thinks.

4) Less likely.

5) I'm just glad they didn't add influence achievements like it would suggest was originally planned :p

6) Good, we already had presence to affect comps, may as well stick to it.

7 and 8) Not sure what universal unlocks means.

1) I only did one conq week pre-4.0 but it seems like a good change. When Total Galactic War comes up it always seems like a boring craftfest.

2) Good, isn't it justified by the crafting removal anyway?

3) I only have a 75% bonus right now, it's good enough to get me the target easily and I don't want to waste more credits on strongholds I won't use.

1) Good, I played for 8-9 months in 2014 and barely managed to try out either.

2) Diminish, it's a waste of time that I still need to finish off.

3) The intrusive ones you mentioned were years ago so I didn't get to try them. I don't think I'd mind an intrusive event.

4) Unhappy, there are achievements linked to it and I'm hoping it will continue as normal next year.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

I haven't done EC much, once in solo+ for DvL and up to round 10 solo, wiped too much and gave up.

1) A bit, it felt either too easy or too hard.

2) I'll find out when I go to finish it.

3) It seems to drop a lot of Isos which is nice.

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

1) The majority were useless, I don't care about HK's weapons or armor or poster or Niko's jacket (I think that was pre-KotFE though?).

2) Arma Rasa I guess. Least would be any of the ones I mentioned above.

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations

2) Flashpoints

3) Galactic Starfighter

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars

5) Reputation Leveling

1) 9. By the time KotET is released it will likely by 2 years since Rav/ToS. Scaling was a disappointing but reasonable change in 4.0, doing nothing but that again in 5.0 would be ridiculous.

2) 7. Excluding SFs there hasn't been a flashpoint in as long as ops.

3) I don't do GSF so I can't give a number for this. I think they deserve some content though.

4) 4. I enjoyed the missions and have done some Seeker Droid digging. Since they just added some Shroud content maybe he could make a return.

5) 6. Lots of opportunities for a new rep system with all the stuff introduced in KotFE

1&2) Don't have any complaints about the timing of content releases, since it only mattered when the content was "fresh off the fiber" as it were. Later runthroughs, though, autostarting the next chapter, whether it be 1 or 16, or any in-between, not my favorite design choice. At the end of a chapter, give a pop-up to continue or exit. (Give the option to disable this/enable autoplay of chapter in the Preferences, if this isn't a big QA challenge).

3)Best aspect of story-telling; making more companions available. Worst, having an Eternal Empire capable of defeating both the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire, simultaneously and in their "prime," instead of swooping in after the two "main" star nations had reduced each other in years of brutal warfare.

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so?

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges?

Did not change accessibility. I haven't chosen to do "advanced" Ops, difficulty of the ops I've participated in has been below my skill ceiling.

Did not regularly PvP prior to 4.0

4X alliance alert got me into PvP

Did not OWPvP prior, have no plans to do so now

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

1)New use for Heroics are a better and more "varied" credit/XP "grind" than previous "daily" zones. More accessible to starting player as well. Retuning for solo difficulty "at-level" makes them more accessible while levelling. MAde relevant both for game design and for story.

2)Improvement for "grind/farm" purposes.

3)Removal of the turn-in option is a (mild) negative, both from a story POV (loss of cutscene) and from a mechanical POV (loss of ability to complete bonus missions after primary makes for some weird choices-of-necessity in some heroics)

[/quote

1)Unequivocally better.

2)Unequivocally better.

3)As cosmetics, they don't need to be craftable. I have no issue with them being bonus content awards exclusively.

Solo SF and Heroic SF need to have a cleaner distinction; which would obviate many of the complaints about HSF. The multi-level maze portion of SF (and the side missions, the Paladins, etc) should be only in Solo mode. The Heroic Mode should only be the "inner ring" of the SFs.

The Heroics could then be added to their own GF queue as a "fast" option for grouping. I'd add a 4-man difficulty level to them for the purpose, in that case, though.

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

Unabashed Level Sync fanboy, despite the weirdness it causes for a handful of story fights. Would like to see those fights moved out from under Level Sync, but only if it can be done "cheaply."

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

I'm OK with the alliance specialists as-is. The only change I'd make is that the "Commander's share" would drop a currency or tokens to be redeemed at Alliance Vendors for specific armor pieces and specific gift types. Otherwise, it's a replacement for reputation grind that can never be "completed" and thus never become pointless.

Separating gameplay from story by making companions mechanically equal and capable of filling any role is great. Relative ranking of "power" of each companion mode bog down in ranking of classes, advanced classes, and disciplines.

Conversation choices still affect influence, which affects companion effectiveness. You just can no longer make a companion worse by choosing "incorrectly." I still consider companion influence when making conversation choices, but it's not as big a concern as it used to be

Influence cap to 50 is counterbalanced by bigger influence gains throughout the system. It hurt characters who had completed class quests prior to 4.0; but not significantly.

No more separate gear grind for companions, especially when some classes had an advantage because their comps could take "hand-me-down" gear from the character and others couldn't, is great.

Companion unlocks need to be available cross-faction post KotFE start.

I'm good with Comps being non-class specific

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

2) KOTFE has also reduced the point requirement in many Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?

Conquest is easier on a per-character basis, harder on a legacy" basis. Would that there was a "per-character" level of completion, in addition to the "repeatable" and "per-legacy" levels.

1)Good. More opportunities for new players to get involved and have fun

2)Overall enhance

3)Never got a chance to play the original RG event or the Chevin event. Overall, repeatable events are better

4)Indifferent - I would have liked to get another couple of items from it, but the actual mechanics of the event were the most boring thing I've ever done in this game.

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

1)Yes - something to up my game

2)I do it from time to time, to keep skills sharp and to advance against the bosses

3)Cosmetic gear, yes. The statted gear? Crippling it so as not to "compete" against raid gear by making it fixed stat was not one of BW's better ideas. Should have come in statted and moddable like PvP gear, including set bonus (missing Expertise, so that PvP gear is still an upgrade, and lower stats than "raid gear" so that is an upgrade as well).

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

Sub bonuses have always been "the sprinkles on a sundae" to me. Should always be cosmetic, and minor.

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations

2) Flashpoints

3) Galactic Starfighter

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars

5) Reputation Leveling

Group content got shorted in KotFE release cycle - needs more Ops/FP/GSF

Seeker droid is a time-wasting mechanic that should never have been developed

Macrobinocs are a mechanic

Rep Leveling was replaced by Alliance Grind and not before time

Let me just pick a few items out of the list:

I) Story content.

I would've preferred the whole story to be released in one go. To me the episodic release was ok, but not great. It had more disadvantages for me. I prefer to get in the flow of a story and finish it. Also I felt the story doesn't fit well in relation to the various classes. I call it a one-size-doesn't-fit-all story.

II) Group content.

The "dumbing down" of operations was a mess. I think it would've been better if all SM ops had roughly the same difficulty. Some of the bosses are too hard for current day pugs. We have to accept that with the more hardcore raiding guilds having left the game, the average raider nowadays is at a lower level. Some SM ops do not cater to the average raider but are part of the weekly rotation. I think that was a mistake. For people at a higher level of raiding experience, there is little reason to keep repeating the same operations.

III) PVP.

This side of the game has had close to zero support. Other than the same all queues with some more warzones, nothing has been done for this side of the game for 5 years. The Odessen warzone is kinda fun. It's a good addition as such, but it's too little to conclude they really take this seriously. Imbalances take over a year to get fixed sometimes and no additional PVP types have been added to give PVP more variation. A sad state of affairs and the reason I only PVP from time to time. I usually get bored with it after 2-3 weeks.

IX) Companions.

I think it was a mistake to take people's favourite companions away and then make people wait years to get them back. All my favourites are still out of the story.

I also think it was a mistake to give companions all three roles. I think they should've had 2 roles just like our characters can with respeccing, making an added exception for pure damage classes. Ashara should be able to DPS and Tank. Same goes for Khem Val. Healer characters should be able to DPS, not tank. Etc. BW just goes from one extreme to the other sadly.

Lastly, I think it was a huge mistake to use companions as pivotal players in the new story. Main example: Scorpio. People who leveled affection to 50 only to be shot in the back by her have my sympathy. In fact, having companions that are more powerful than your character is a weird thing and belies the supposed heroic status of our characters.

X) Strongholds.

You actually ignore the stronghold point of view in this topic. I do not decorate for the sake of conquest. I don't give a rat's *** about conquest and wish that my strongholds were not linked to conquest at all. I was happy to get a 5th stronghold to decorate, I am not happy that it came instead of getting a new stronghold and the way the supply of decorations is handled is one of worst things in this game.

XIII) Subscriber rewards.

The extra story was funny. The twist at the end was lame. What a way to deflate one of the most mysterious villains in the game. All the other monthly rewards are worthless to me and I use none of them. Also they keep referring to these rewards as rewards for long time subbers, which is a total and utter lie since they only reward current subs and not long standing subbers.

XIV) Absent content.

Well, first of all, strongholds have also been absent this year unless you want to count the CM packs that give too low drop rates of decorations.

I would like new operations. We have too many FPs already so I'd prefer they make a proper, robust reward system for the existing FPs. Reputation is fun and it's something I miss. I liked the seeker droid/macrobinocular quests but there were some real issues so if they bring them back it'd be cool but please don't do 4-man FPs in there anymore and make the quests themselves a little more interesting.

I think that's plenty :)

I) Story content

1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad?

Well it's not exactly a first for Bioware, SOR came out and Ziost followed later but it was a pretty large chunk in one go, I am not sure if I would prefer it all in one go or bit by bit

2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered?

See above still undecided

3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst?

Best - Cinematic storytelling, Bad - To many of my favourite companions still missing and would have prefered them over whom we actually got back so far

II) Group content

1) Operations had a difficulty adjustment. Were there any signs of where this did well? Where it did not do well?

2) Are operations more accessible to the average player or less so?

3) Can operations still offer sufficient challenge to those who seek challenges?

Can't comment as I do no operations

III) PVP Disclaimer I don't like PvP

1) Was the Odessen map a satisfying addition to PVP?

Well I certainally prefer it over Huttball

2) A new arena map was added. Was this a satisfying addition, or do the lack of new objectives make it same-ol', same-ol'?

Same old

3) If you are an active PVP player, did the Major Pierce/M1-4X mission impact your gameplay positively, negatively, or not at all?

Not active

4) Has the new system for Open World PVP made the PVP experience better or worse and how?

Never really much Open world PvP in recent years to my knowledge anyway

IV) Heroic Missions

1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions?

Yes in as such as I can gear my character using the lockboxes and that I can solo these if I so wish, though I dislike them being weekely as it screws any attempt by me to do conquests

2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement?

Yes a good QOL addition

3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse?

Mixed, from a heroic spamming point of view its better, though for immersion there should at least be the choice to turn the quests back in manually

V) Crafting

1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse?

Overall I love the crafting and gathering changes, especially being able to level the crafting skill just making components rather than having lots of random crafting schematics being learned

2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement?

Yes it takes much of the pain over levelling a skill away and more casual freindly

3) Operation crystals can no longer be learned but can be purchased. Is this good or bad?

No real opinion

VI) Star Fortress

1) The 2+ mode can be soloed, but only if sufficiently geared, skilled, and have a good companion. Does that make it good, to serve as a challenge? Bad, because it does not allow as many solo players to complete? Bad because it provides even fewer needs for grouping?

I have no problem with people doing the heroic version for a challenge, but I do think that the solo version should have counted as well towards star fortress completion

2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive.

Not sure I was off put when solo mode did not count I kind of left Star Fortresses alone

3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder?

I could not hurt to add it to groupfinder though only for players who have done chapter 9

VII) Level Sync

1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not?

Yes, though not perfect due to bosses on lower planets being a breeze

2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets?

Yes

VIII) Alliance Specialists

1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented?

No feeling, got them to rank 10 and stopped

2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient?

Sufficient

3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists?

None

IX) Companions

1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad?

Good, I can now use the companion I want to use rather than the one I need to, though it's not how I would have implemented it, I feel that the companions should have kept their unique abilities for the roles they originally had but for the other roles just have generic moves for those

2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other?

Honestly I am not use I never use anything but heal as I am a DPS player

3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad?

Not sure what you mean as you still gain influence through conversation

4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system?

Actually less likely, as not only do we not loose influence now, but we can see a companions full story due to story progress not influence means I don't have to pander to companions during conversations but I can still complete their story

5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why?

Actually probably bad as it makes balancing companions and content difficult do you balance around someone with level 50 influence and all prescence bonus or someone who has no bonueses and only a rank 5 companion

6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why?

Good, sometimes the best gear lookswise was not moddable so you either had to compromise on looks or struggle with a badely geared companion

7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered)?

I'm indifferent

8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific?

Again I'm indifferent

X) Conquest and Strongholds

1) KOTFE has significantly reduced the impact of crafting on most Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

2) KOTFE has also reduced the point requirement in many Conquest events. Was this good or bad?

3) The number of active strongholds was increased to five with a corresponding increase in Conquest bonus. Did you feel pressured to fill a fifth stronghold with junk for the Conquest bonus or were you happy you could decorate all five of them?

Honestly I don't bother with conquests in 4.0 as my main bulk of conquest points came from heroics which I could spam over a few days, but since they are now weekely I cannot come close as I don't do operations and try to avoid much PvP

XI) Events

1) The number of Rakghoul and Relics of the Gree events have sharply increased. Is this good or bad?

Good in a way as players always wanted them back often, though it can get repetitive and some players now want new events as they are fed up with these now we get them often

2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play?

Diminshed, even to get Eternal level I sacrificed levelling enjoyment to speed through to get there but now I can go back to enjoying levelling

3) Do you prefer these less-intrusive events (Rakghoul, Gree, Bounty) or more intrusive (original Rakghoul, Chevin)?

Does not bother me

4) How do you feel about no Nightlife Event this year, happy, unhappy, indifferent?

Indifferent

XII) Eternal Championship

1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you?

Only done it once for DvL no other reason to run it, used no tactics up to level 5

2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly

Nope, not really worth it

3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why?

Not really, its no good for gear as it would take too long to gear your self properly

XIII) Subscriber Rewards

1) Did you enjoy the more frequent rewards offered during KOTFE or the previous rewards that were less frequent?

It was more the fact that they were rewarding me for actually continually subscribing while I did not like them all it was noce to get something extra for a change

2) Which rewards did you enjoy the most (besides the bonus chapter) and which the least?

Best - possibly the weapons only because the sword looks cool on Khem and Qyzen. Worst - HK helmet

XIV) Absent Content

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for:

1) Operations 1 - Don't do operations

2) Flashpoints 7 - If bioware do group content then I would prefer flashpoints, quicker to form a group too, though if relating to the story (forged alliances, blood hunt etc) then I would like a solo mode OR if story heavy (Directive 7, Essleess BT) I would also like a Solo mode

3) Galactic Starfighter No comment as I don't do

4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars No comment as I don't do

5) Reputation Leveling No comment as I don't do

I1. Good

I2. It was ok, kept interest up. But I would prefer all content at once. I realize that means longer time for release.

I3. Best: Can't think of anything really. The story was meh. Worst: endless, pointless and unavoidable running around killing sky troopers.

II.1 I don't like bolster. Too many inexperienced and clueless noobs participate in operations without cutting teeth on prior ops.

II.2 more

II.3. I think NM ops are always hard. The problem is ops are boring now since there haven't been new ones in a while.

III. No comment, do not PVP.

IV. Don't do heroic missions, no comment.

V. I think overall crafting is simpler, but crafing gear is pointless.

VI. Only did Star fortress once on one toon. Too repetitive. It should be part of GF.

VII. Indifferent to level sync.

VIII. Alliance specialists are kind of worthless. Too repetitive bringing crates back, just to get influence takes way too long. What is the benefit? Maybe make locked crates a reward for ops or GF ops.

IX.1. Good.

IX.2 similar

IX.3 bad, but not in a terrible way. Just makes dialogs pointless.

IX.4 less

IX.5 No opinion

IX.6 Bad. get too much gear that can't be used.

IX.7 same

IX.8 I like ability to have any companion.

X. Since guild are effectively dead, I haven't paid attention to conquest. I think strongholds are pretty much a waste of time.

XI. I rarely participate in events. Rakghoul plague needs to go away, so annoying.

XII. Did not participate. Not starting a new toon at level 0. Heck, didn't even create new free toon.

XIII. Most of the monthly rewards are worthless. What would a Jedi or Sith do with pistols?

XIV.1. 10. If there aren't new ops, I will be done with the game. Not enough endgame to keep me interested at this point. There has to be some challenge left in the game and FPs/story quests aren't it. During KOtFE, everyone got at least HM gear. They need to figure something else out as rewards.
