  1. If you're going to do this, you're going to piss a whole lot of people off. Why not bring it down to HM (Veteran) operations, MM flashpoints and MM ...what are those short, action packed, flashpoint like things (maybe it would get people playing them again). EA/Bioware, you need to see some sense here. I would love to do those augs, but i won't pvp. It's a toxic community. I will do MM flashpoints and HM raids. People are generally very picky about who they bring to MM ops. So it's not just about not wanting to do them, it's about not getting the opportunity. There's a core group of people who do that content in our guild, and that list does not expand to include those who would like a shot at it. I know that's how it is many places. So you're outright gating people from the content where you can get the mats... and with those mats, I could do that content. But I can't get the mats. TL/DR this is REALLY ridiculous. Don't go here, open this mat drops to more of the content.
  2. I don't mind if they make the hardest content give more points. That's as it should be. But don't cut the points to the ppl leveling. reducing the number of places one can achieve conquest will do what the OP said, cause lines of people waiting for respawns, inviting more toxicity into a game they say they are trying to reduce it. This is at cross purposes to their own goals. It's a bad idea to limit the places one can earn conquest. Truly. Of course, I'm only speaking up because I can't log in at all right now. So I wish 6.1.4 was all about makign their servers more robust instead.
  3. They're doing it to bring the people back that have already left to the next game, because they came, they saw, they conquered. Sadly, we, who are still playing, are the ones who will pay the price. They have let their subs go until the next big update, and bioware wants them back so bad they'll cater to them.. while we get shafted for not leaving in the first place! Except I just might. Last time, I was gone for 2 years. Dunno about this time.
  4. Add me to the list. They just posted on twitter too
  5. This is as of 8/19/2020 at 7:00 a.m. until now, at least, 7:30 a.m. I saw the other thread but the heading wasn't informative so I started one that was. What's up with the servers there?
  6. They used to drop, and some of us have a few, but new players? I havent' seen one drop since I came back over a year ago. Why did they stop? Please bring them back.
  7. I dont' think I can say it better. When it pops, it covers a big part of the sky WHERE THE OBJECTS I AM EITHER FIGHTING OR AVOIDING are. It's Horrendous. I heard you fixed it in flashpoints and things, but some of us still fly the original missions, esp on low level toons. Please delay this darn banner until after! There are way too many things popping up and blocking our view these days. Stronghold labels that don't fade, Conquest goals, and DvL banners (like who even cares?) Dark vs. Light was only interesting when it was first implemented. Now it's just... meh. But these banners do impede functionality of the game. Please... make the smaller, fade faster and don't place them in the middle of any type of combat.
  8. I would like to have you add the level 8-10 crafting mats added to the current lvl 1-7 mats that are available as decorations (that can be gathered) for my stronghold. The ones that I get from weekly conquest per character. Right now, I have so many copies of each, it would be very nice to get the newer ones. You've restricted the amount a person can get from them so it won't be much of a hit to the rest of the economy. But it would be nice if you added them, please.
  9. I thought I could log back in but before the char select came up, the game froze. Wouldn't respond. I had to alt-F4 and shut it down. Def somethign wrong here.
  10. Abou 5 mins ago, the launcher asn't working, it wanted to patch the game to 3.3.2 Like WHAAAA?? That after I got dumped fromt he game then tried to log back in You guys having any problems there?
  11. I just use my Legacy Field Repair droid
  12. The huge mouseover for the items is okay. Being able to compare a new relic with the one you are looking at is okay too. But when it's already equipped, and it's on your hotbar, and you go to click it and 3 big squares show up on your screen in the middle of a fight, it's not welcome. Once I have it on my hotbar, can I NOT see the mouseover box? Please? Or the comparison. I obviously already have it equipped. I would appreciate it.
  13. I'm sorry. I just did the heroic 4's with 4 ppl. none were heals and none were tanks. We did fine We one-shot everything. I'm talking about the H4's on Dantooine for the event. They are fun. And they're not that bad so long as you learn the fight, and know your class. It's that simple. Your suggestion makes sense, but you're not locked into tank, dps, heals on those, and you don't need them. I've 2-manned all 3 of the heroics on dantooine. Just have to know what to do. Interrupts and moviing quickly are your friends.
  14. A question I'm not sure you guys have considered, and I didn't really have time to read it all. The total amount of health that is required to heal, has it increased more than 5%? Like going from 200k HP to 280k HP (tanks). Is there a similar increase in total heals output to cover total health pools to heal? Just curious. It sounds basic, but for all heal classes, the amount of heals needs to keep up with the amount of health to heal.
  15. Ask around, just before they discontinued them, the pvp vendors sold the schematics to the battlemaster and the next step up of gear. I can make the shadow and the sentinel sets. So ask ppl in your guild or in fleet if anyone can craft them. They use old mats that arent that hard to get, so they shouldn't be terribly expensive.
  16. Here is part of the issue (I have posted in the Sorc/Sage heals section) When you pvp, you have a team of 4, right? when you do a raid, you have 8 ppl to keep alive with 2 healers, who are also getting hit. I don't know if there is an issue between pvp and pve (most likely there is, it's an ongoing issue in this game) but you have to look at what healers are asked to do in raiding, not just what they can do in pvp. I do think that Bioware would be smart to make changes to stats that are only applicable to pvp in the "bolster" system for pvp. That way you could address issues that are clearly pvp in only pvp, instead of doing things that help pvp, and make unsustainable changes for pve raiding. That way characters would be fit for both purposes. The changes for pvp would go away when not in a match. Justa dream of mine.. As things stand, heals need some serious work for pve, esp Master Mode content, as I stated clearly in my post on the Sorc/sage heals thread.
  17. I'm going to reply to myself, and everyone else. I do not think the problem here should be addressed using gear. I believe the problem of heals not keeping up with the considerable increase in the amount of health and damage we are asked to heal, is a problem of the base stats healers have. You've made each heal too expensive, you've made energy/force management more difficult, and on top of that, the amt per heal is not balanced with the increased amt we NEED to heal. this isn't a gear issue, gear sets do need to be considered AFTER the base heal stats and energy management issues are addressed. Look first to the real problem, you've nerfed the classes too hard, too often, and forgotten that we have an ever-increasing burden that has not been addressed. I don't need sage heals to go back to 3.0. But we do need things changed. Take , for instance, one thing. Take Revification/Vindicate back off the GCD, as it used to be. Now we are having to sacrifice a GCD that we need for healing, to make sure we can make the next cast. This is not the way it's always been, and it's just plain stupid. IMHO. Simple change, big lifestyle fix. Stop charging more and more for less and less. Then update/fix the gear. You have to fix the underlying issue first. When our heals and our ability to heal is commensurate with the growth in total health pools and incoming damage, then you can do whatever you like. Until then, you are missing the entire picture. This goes for EVERY HEALER IN THE GAME. Not just Sage/sorc. You also need to fix broken content like Walker fights and turret fights. Nobody in their right mind can heal through those. It took 2 heal spec and one tank (the dps got launched from the platform) on the Battle of Rishi last boss... because of unbalanced Damage output on Walkers. Most importantly, I'd love it if BIOWARE would even READ these notes! I have my doubts that they do. I hope I'm wrong. But please get back to basics, to math, to logic, and look at this from a clinical, non-emotional point of view. Do the numbers make sense? I don't care who cries in Pve or Pvp... DO THE NUMBERS MAKE SENSE?
  18. I'm going to second this and third it. I have a Sage healer, and I have screen shots of my Sage healing the amts very close to what it does now, but back in 3.x Now, the problem with that is simple. 2k or 3k heals (or even 11k or 20k) doesn't do much to heal a tank that's got 257k health. Do the math here, Bioware. If health has gone up X amount, the total HPS of any heal class has to have gone up on average by the same X amount, or heals are falling behind. right now, based on health stats, heals are WAY behind. It's not fun anymore. Scoundrel does a little better, but doesn't have the burst of Sage. Every time you guys "balance" classes, you nerf people. How about looking at the overall and seeing if, compared to 5 years ago, some classes are simply not keeping up. Sage feels really, really weak. That makes it not worth playing. Mty main since launch is a sage heals, but I have taken to playing my dps and learning to tank instead. It's time you looked at increases in the health pool of those we are healing (and that goes for all classes) and looking at whether or not any healers are able to keep up. Some of the hits our dps and tanks are taking are for nearly 100k. But there's not a healer in this game that can keep up with that kind of incoming damage, making us particularly ineffective. I would love to see the numbers, and how much damage we Used to heal, compared with how much we are now, in consideration of total of the health pools and incoming damage we see now. I think you'll find you've nerfed all heal classes too far. It's time to walk this back.
  19. I can confirm that it is harder now (1/14/20) than it was last time. I swear they just make it harder. Some ppl are saying theyre dead before they even load in. I got 14 before I died. As for other turret content, the folks in my guild that love NiM content say nothing is broken. But spending 30 mins and 15 wipes on a turret fight ISN'T FUN! What do we have to do to get EA/Bioware to fix things? Talk is cheap.
  20. Agreed with everything here. I've had effective heals thrown at me and I know some ppl stack their numbers by allow players to get lower in health so they can get better numbers, rather than just caring about gameplay. I figure if we get through a raid and ppl haven't died, except by thier own stupidity, and maybe not even then, I've certainly done my job. Healers sometimes dps, move ppl out of danger, interrupt, or otherwise do things that don't show in parses, this is extremely true for bubbles and shielding that doesn't (or didn't) show up in parses. Parsing heals is really not as important as how well your group gets through the content. I think parsing heals can actually be detrimental, ppl getting hung up on numbers, then doing things to make their numbers better. This is not doing for the good of the group, only glory seeking behavior. Healing is not the time to be a glory hound. Your job is support. Not the spotlight. If you want to feel all warm and fuzzy, try being top dps or an outstanding tank instead. I only notice the healer when I am not being healed properly when raiding. A very good healer is nearly invisible. Like sentences in a fabulous book, you are transported away into the story, and forget you are reading. If you can achieve that, you are a sublime healer.
  21. Yes, Agreed! I don't recall there being any noise at all (traffic noise) when I was inside the stronghold, when it first came out and for the first few years. I just came back and now it's so loud, I don't like being there at all. What changed? Can you fix it BW? please? It's distractingly loud and not all of us got our SH's for 8 CC's or 8 credits This development was noticed when I returned to the game in June, after a 2 year hiatus.
  22. There is one thing you get from the droid CM companions you don't from the others. SILENCE. God I wish I could have an "off" switch for most of my companions. I don't mind a beep or a chirp but I'm so tired of "you're okay" or "I've got you" I wanna kick them. Sometimes I take the others just for the quiet of it.
  23. I don't usually do this, but i was looking at the magenta crystal schematics my early Artifice has, and they completely changed the schematic anyway. I don't know if the original one still drops or not, but there is no longer any use for the adegan crystals I have. They just changed the thing, made it common, not rare. Pedestrian. Why Bioware? Can't you leave anything alone? If it's not broken, you have to run around with a sledgehammer and break it? I'm sorry but I'm getting really, really, really frustrated that stuff I learned 5 years ago, no longer matters at all. And yes, that applies to any crystal schematics in the old folders too. They're just not there anymore. Gee thanks for taking my effort, time and time again, and just running over it like it's so much grass you hate and are trying to kill. If people like something, you just gotta get in there and frick it up. I've never seen anything like it. Do you guys have deathwish (for the game)?
  24. Thanks for the help. I wish I had known. Is there some place for all this information? besides trying a futile search on here? I searched first and couldn't find it.
