I'd like to issue a complaint about your Alliance. You impressed me with your heroics against the Republic and spoke of taking the fight to the Eternal Empire, and I believed you. And you might be doing that. And don't think I don't appreciate that when I arrived at your base you had a present waiting, a pack of survival gear, and believe me, that's what I call a bonus! You must have seen that I liked it a lot because you gave me a second one, in case something happened to the first, that was thoughtful.

Six thousand more, though, was getting to be a little excessive. I've now had to divert a substantial portion of my military pension to pay for a warehouse where I keep these survival packs. But I appreciate the thought, commander.

Which brings me to my main point. As a decorated soldier and former black projects operative I had assumed I'd be involved in planning military operations or carrying out covert operations. Instead all I do is make bonded components, then I take the bonded components apart, then I make more bonded components, then I take them apart again. Every once in a while though, instead of taking them apart, I take the bonded components and the bits of bonded component remnants to make an augment kit, then I place it on a stack of them. Then someone takes the stack and sells it. Lana said Koth fat-fingered one of the surplus orders, so the money raised is used to pay down our massive bill for Survival Gear R Us.

I used to work for the Emperor's Wrath before it all went to hell. We'd talk regularly, I'd reminisce about the old days and plans to bring the team back together to run covert ops, and even while being harassed by a Dark Council member the Wrath still took time to discuss and approve these things and to confer with me and the rest of the team on matters of their own. I was a part of a team. The only conversation I had this week was Lana telling me to use the bonded components I made to make you a new pair of gloves.

I hope as you wear them you'll think of things you can have me do that are more productive, like a daring mission behind enemy lines. I can even supply my own survival gear.

sorry, this is a single player game where only one story matters. Having companions that interact with our toons would go against all that SWTOR now stands for. Implying that grouping and talking to other players might actually be fun was canceled with the launch of KOTFE

This made my day. It was funny from start to finish. Through the humour you have brought up a very important point. All these recruits are literally doing nothing at base but going out for crew skill missions. It would be nice if there were special alliance missions where you can assemble teams based on your recruits and send them out to the field. To either get supplies for your specialist or to complete certain chain missions to get something of worth for the alliance.

The lack of ability to converse with them even after racking up the affection points is also kind of a let down. Would love it if we could actually engage them in a conversation. Like what they did since they left their old group. Something along those lines.

Excellent! You should write in the fanfic section of the forums. We have a star here btw, Lunafox, who just cheered you!

Hey one question, none of my regular chars has started KOTFE, so I'm wondering: I say my knight has a T7 with affection raised to 20 will he run into the "same" T7 in KOTFE or will it be a "new" T7?

*blush* Thanks Bendu :D It's nice hearing from you again.

Fan fiction section has been a bit quieter lately, new stuff is always welcome, especially when it's clever and funny :D So OP, definitely write some more, you do a lovely Major Pierce. :D

I fail to see how talking to a companion would imply that, Other than that, I have to agree the changes kofe are Great I don't have to be rushed by anyone going through a story elment yelling "SPACEBARRZS !!!!oneelveenhundred!!" best thing to happen to this game ever.

Yup. It would be great if we had pve ground vehicle and pve space missions that we could not only assign our alliance members to, but also take part in ourselves.

I saw some potential for this new Alliance system in opening up a new area of game play, but alas nothing has happened. I think it wouldn't be hard to take the existing crew skill window and turn tweak it a bit to make somewhat similar to a crew skill diplomacy mission, but at the same time, different.

Eh, you're welcome. I did desert it, I guess I depend on feedback too much. Did have an unfinished piece about Nar Shaddaa though...

And I have kilotons of your story to catch up with!
