I intentionally used a crit enh instead of an acc 1 and surprise: DPs was higher. Never missed as a merc? Not even with your offhand? Something smells fishy here... And what would be the relevance of that ? Btw, decreasing OH acc with 5% (decreases N DPs) while putting that into total crit will give x2.4*(N) that (ignoring possible MH misses for the math). I checked some of my DF Gunslinger parses and some skills miss as much as 15% of the time with 701 Accuracy. Next time, do a parse and see for yourself. All DPS specs gain about 2-5 DPS by using the Accuracy stim. All DPS specs also now use between 1 and 3 Mastery augments. EDIT : You may want to test further.. Pyrotech seems to have two BiS set up... one with 1 power aug and 1 hawkeye crystal, another with two eviscerating crystal and two mastery aug. If I ran the accuracy stim I'd essentially be running crit to replace the lost 3 acc augs since I want acc cap, and that might dip too far into crit, right? Do you need a DPS increase so small you'd need tens thousands of average parses to see it?? No. If you need 2 extra DPS to beat a boss, you won't get it by optimizing better. The Mastery Augs + Acc stims yields 5599.99 DPS while the Power Augs + Acc stims yields only 5599.77. As you can see one is definately better than the other...... Over a few millions parses. This stim gives Accuracy and Critical. Created Separate categories for Mastery Stim and Accuracy Stim to allow for player preferences Allowed for Optimizer to pick the “best” stim for the dps chart. Stim is forced for the gear breakdown for clarity. Changed first post to reflect the new changes All Disciplines have been recalculated for 4.1 Non-Patch Related Changes Marauder - Annihilation: Added Force Scream into the rotation. Marauder - Annihilation: Changed Berserk usage rate to better match fury generation Marauder - Annihilation: Tweaked the Assault to Vicious Slash Ratio to better match the estimated Rage generation and the introduction of Force Scream into the rotation. Marauder - Carnage: Changed rotation to Devastating Blast Focused (g_mk rotation) Marauder - Carnage: Tied set bonus buffs to individual abilities rather than time averaged because the rotation and use of berserk create a situation where the set bonuses will always be active during certain moves. Like Dipstik said, the script I use iterates through all of the possible augment, enhancement, crystal and stim combinations and returns the combination that yields the highest dps. To Illustrate the crossover point for the stats from augments, I dug up some of my older code that I used early in 4.0 as an example for choosing the best augments. Please remember that this is not how I actually determine the optimal stat distribution. In this example I am linearly showing what the choice of each augment does in regards to overall dps combined with previous choices. Like Dipstik said, I normally use an iterative method that tests all of the possible augment, enhancement, crystal and stim combinations and returns the combination that yielded the highest dps. I have not checked all of the other specs to see if something similar has happened to them as well.
