Emote Suggestion Thread

[Kiesu]

/holocronred /holocronblue

Levitate/examine a holocron (loop/infinite). Similar to Life Day Orb, but with holocrons for both factions with appropriate colors.

Most of these will work as emotes, but some could be expanded into regen animations also.

Summersault (1 for forward & 1 for backwards)

Calisthenics (jumping jacks, knee touch, toe touch, run in place/high-knee)

Yoga pose (4 or 5 different ones)

Back Bend and fail/fall

Cross arms with toe tap

Sit and Drink or eat (with cup or food on plate spawned)

Stand Eat or Drink

Stand & Lean on elbows (near table, bar, etc)

Belly Flop and pass out (run like 3 feet then jump and flop on belly)

Forward Pass Out/Faint

Failed Rocket boots (jump up, boots fire and fail, then hit the floor face first, get up dazed)

Roundhouse Kick

Fix (multiple random "fixing an object")

Tantrum (1 for standing and 1 for the floor)

The Worm (do the Worm on the floor)

Break Dance (floor "Back Spin")

Trip (fall then get up dazed holding head)

Judo Chop

Face slap (animation to use on others)

Tea Bag (lol)(might call this one twerkit)

Defend face (like in boxing)

Butt slap (on another player)

Butt Burn (lick finger and touch butt with sizzle sound)

Scratch Butt (lol)

Mop (with a mop and bucket)

Floor Clean (on knees & on hands and knees)

Window Wash (with a rag in hand)

Wax on Wax off (from karate Kid)

Wall Lean (right and left)

Wall Lean (back)

Bang Head (standing by a wall)

Bang Head Sitting (with sit animation & spawn a random chair)

Blow nose

Sneeze

Rub eyes

Rub face

Rub n i p p l e s (lol)

Lean in Kiss (actual leaning in and kiss face)

Hug (wraps arms)

Open arms (to receive a hug)

Barf or Puke (with real barf coming out and on floor)

I was just having a discussion with some guildies today on the lack of a /popcorn emote. But since this is Star Wars, they might not have popcorn. So we decided on "excited snacking."

 

Perhaps something like /munch or /snack. "Luke munches a tasty snack."

 

What else are we supposed to do during the inevitable Lana/Jaesa confrontation?

I was thinking of a "Gaffi Pump." When the Sand people raise their arms in the air with a Gaffi Stick do their chant. Our characters will have to pump their weapons in the air unfortunately until someone creates a Gaffi Stick weapon to go with the Sand People Armor Set.

Possibly a bit of a silly one, but RP-related I suppose. I cast my eye down the list of action and general emotes and I can see belch, burp, cough, faint, spit, yawn etc.

 

Please could we have a sneeze emote too?

Something to do with a light saber like spinning it around or doing tricks with it? I don't know if it's already in the game, but if it isn't then add it in!

How about a /holdcup or something so that when I'm at a bar enjoying a drink...I actually hold one besides having to raise toasts everytime.

while the /airdrums solo is fun indeed, we need something to keep time with the rest of the band, perhaps just /drums?

 

also, a less frenetic /sing emote would be nice too, maybe more backup singer hip-swaying while holding a microphone.

An emote that would really be amazing is /foldback where your character folds his or her hands on the back like happens soooo many times in cutscenes (it would be amazing for RP) and another is /foldfront like folding hands in front of you like you do during the "Prisoner of Zakuul" scene where you walk with your hands cuffed. Just remove the cuffs and keep hands folded like that and make it an emote, would be amazing! Edited October 22, 2015 by Ylliarus

More emotes where you draw out your weapon similar to "Flourish" . One I really want is "Pointing my Saber" similar to how you find some enemies standing. And others could just be doing more Flourish like things just showing off.

 

This also makes me thing of maybe options for "fight stance" example I play a Guardian and his ready stance is the same as it was in KOTOR, wouldn't mind the option to change that to something similar to Warrior's stand with it at my side or over my head like in Episode II saber duel.

1) MIND TRICK -- I'm surprised this doesn't already exist in the game considering how iconic this gesture is.

 

2) CROSS ARMS -- Many people have been requesting this for a long time. Make it happen already!

 

 

I would also like to see the following emotes modified.

 

1) DRINK -- Let the character continue to hold a glass in their hand until cancelled.

 

2) EAT -- Let the character continue to eat until cancelled.

 

3) PONDER -- The current loop is unbearably annoying. Allow the character to remain with his hand on his chin, pondering, until cancelled.

 

4) DATAPAD -- Let the character continue using the datapad until cancelled.

 

 

It's a bit frustrating that some emotes work very nicely while others don't. I get the impression that sometimes they are released without much thought and consideration put into how they might work best--whether or not an emote should be a looped animation or not. Emotes make a fun addition to any RP and I'd love to see more of them.

Another version of kneeling would be kind of cool! I'm talking kneeling with eyes averted in some iconic star wars-ish style!

 

Empire:

 

Galen Marek kneeling to Darth Vader

 

Lord Vader kneeling to Emperor Palpatine

 

Galen Marek being knighted by a Dark Lord of the Sith

 

Vader kneeling to an unknown powerful Emperor from far, far away....

 

 

Republic:

 

Obi-Wan kneeling to the grandmaster of the Jedi Order

 

A Padawan being bestowed the rank of knighthood during a jedi ceremony

How about /broke, and it makes the part of the animation from the smuggler surrender ability where all your money falls out of your pockets.

 

I would use it pretty much after every new pack comes out. x.x

I played SWTOR way before I started playing Star Trek Online so, I have seen the differences and have things I prefer about each one. The one thing that is was better with STO are the emotes. You get more dances available to you without having to purchase it in Cartel market, which it may never be available. You get more ways to get costumes without having to grind for them. When I click on Emote tab on SWTOR, there are a ton of emotes but hardly any of them are available. Please make these easier to get.
