  1. No, not a fix. The servers are not showing so changing the date does nothing but modify SWTOR update files to wrong date for next patch. Have fun patching the patch files next patch. If you just let the experts fix the problem instead of reverting to untested tactics we might all be better off.
  2. Can't get in.......................
  3. What they should have done is made it retro-active and given veterans "other things" we had to do to earn some of the rewards. I essentially think we all earned everything they put in for reaching legendary for all 8 classes, for playing for the past 4 years and still here. Sure some newb and or lazy person who is behind might be buthurt over freebies to vetted players, but so what. Is it really better to hurt and disappoint the vets or on the fence newbs and undedicated?
  4. Thanks Bioware for making everything I worked hard for from 4 years ago a complete waste. I did not grind titles, HK, Treek, Legacy, Perks, 8 characters, achievements, Operations, Flashpoints to be slapped with this bulldonkie carrot on a stick crap. This is the worst design, implementation and event in SWTOR history.' SO....... THEY WORKED ON THIS FOR EITHER MONTHS (OR MORE) BUT COULD HAVE MADE NEW WAR ZONES, A NEW OPERATION AND A COUPLE OF FLASHPOINTS!!!!
  5. I agree with everything OP stated. Was going to post a rant on my distaste and first and only huge disappointment with this game. I can over look the lack of OPS and MMO content lately, but as a veteran, and having 8-65's and 25+ lower level toons that are banks, (I do not want to delete cause I am a whale) this has me really flustered. Sure I can use a few more Character slots, but WHY WOULD I WANT TO WASTE MY TIME LEVELING ANOTHER 2 TO 8 CHARACTERS for rewards that are cosmetic at best and 1 more of my 35+ companions that are all the same. If this included a new Operation or even a Flashpoint I might be a bit more excited. So I guess I ranted..........
  6. I am an avid Hypercrate buyer and opener. I have opened Hypercrates since from day one of their release. I normally open anywhere from 8 to 12 Hypercrates per release. So I get a very good range of ratios and drop rates from these packs. I was willing to look the other way (mostly with reluctance and skepticism) with the introduction of the "Chance Cubes" in the latest packs. The Plunderer, Visionary, Disavowed and Anarchist were not too bad given that 30% of the time I got chance cubes. I also got a good amount of regular bronze armors, silver and gold’s. I did find a nitch where I could sell them, unopened, and make a small fortune. This was good. Unfortunately it took nearly triple the normal amount of Hypercrates to get the items I actually wanted and also wanted to sell for profit. I was mostly ok with this. Now my real problem: The Revenge pack is either broken or just plain set up to screw the buyer. I say this from this week’s experience with them. I do not attribute this to RNG. There is a huge difference in these packs with what actually is dropping from each individual crate. 50% of my Revenge Hypercrates were a mix of companion gifts, Jawa junk and maybe chance cube or 2. Only a few armors, a handful of decos, and very few mounts. Very few gold’s with an average of 2 per pack. Down from an average of 3-4+ per previous Hypercrate. Now I did get a Tuning (which is plat I think), but we all know this latest one is poop. I am only posting this because I feel that this latest "Revenge" cartel pack is either broken or has been deliberately set up to drop less than previous packs. There is definatly something "different" with this Revenge pack. So, I will spend the rest of my 50,000 cartel coins I have left on a few more Hypercrates and sell all the all chance cubes so I can get the items I want. I do not have any regrets, not butthurt and know how to get what I want without being a big baby. Who knows, I may get some good RNG and not have to worry? But I am seeing a trend of having to spend more and more at the store to get items I want out of these Hypercrates. Actual Mount, outfit, weapon, and gold drop rates are less and less.
  7. Not sure if you refuse to read developer posts or are incapable of reading comprehension? It was clearly stated they will be adding the Tuning to almost all weapons in future patches/updates. To me this means that weapons that do not have it "now" will have tunings added to them and not overlooked. Why make a forum stink out of a non issue?
  8. Got in after about 10 min. Weird. Feels like a DOS attack.
  9. I am getting the same crap on Shadowlands. I am a sub and 302 in Q...Really? On a Saturday morning. WTH? Also, This only happened a year or so ago when they got Dos attacked.
  10. So our guild, from the beginning of launch, foresaw this issue and have a great policy in place. 3-4 mains in main guild then we have 2 or 3 alt guilds for alts. Even level 65 alts in alt guild. We use our own custom guild chat so everyone can see who is on, chatting and communicate. I assume you are using voice Chat? The limit is the limit. Conquest is a joke and worthless now and you only need the XP boost if you are leveling so having some in an alt guild makes no difference. I still get conquest reward mats from PvP ing or other activities in alt guild.
  11. OP, your first mistake was thinking that being honest to a pug group was going to help you. No one needs to know you are a noob in Ops. Especially Story Mode. It targets you for the scape-goat upon a failure. Even if they check achievements you can claim you quit and started a new account. whatever. But seriously, join a good raiding guild that has been in game for a while. On Shadowlands my guild, "Old Timers Guild" has been in the gaming business for over 15+ years in all multiplayer games. We take in all players (age requirement tho) new, old, good, bad, even Soloer's and get them up to speed, gear and runs. Some people like to just Solo and occasionally run ops. We have weekly and weekend runs for that. Basically, OP, there ARE guilds out there that accommodate for solo players. My last dvice tho is to listen to the others that have posted here about reading/watching Operation boss tatics and gearing and be prepared if you are going to stick to pugging.
  12. Eric, is it really 9,999 or 999? 9,999 seems a bit high for a stack. But if it is 9,999 I guess I will have one stack of everything to only worry about and be able to use my legacy bay again. Thanks!
  13. First, the 20 pvp matches are easy and take 1 Saturday or split into a Sat and a Sunday afternoon. On my server (Shadowlands) these times are peak for PvP as is Friday nights and Saturday nights. As most have said here it is a "choice" to do it. Not a requirement. Second, the 20 LT Pierce/M1-4x PvP matches are gated to go along with the "Intro toPvP", the Daily and the Weekly thus netting you the exact amount of comms to get a FULL SET OF 204 PVP GEAR and have extra comms left over for either decos or better gear. You do the Intro and Daily then grab the Weekly 15 matches while doing the 20. It takes a total of 20,750 comms to get a full set of 208 from scratch. Like I said, the 20 matches was set at 20 for a reason........to get you a 204 full set. Third, if you hate pvp because you are either afraid to play with PvE gear, scared of geared players, afraid your bad, and or just a sissy baby, gut up and do it if you really want the companions. I was a PvP hater and never played PvP until I did the Lt. Pierce missions. Once you get the PvP gear the playing field starts to even out. Once you get 208 it is just skill and tatics. After I finally got my 208 set I was grillin and killin, takin nodes, and actually having fun! It took me 2 weeks to get 3 toons fully geared in 208. Lastly, if you end up liking PvP and want to get your 208 set, I and others have a great, fun, and easy way to do it. Run level 10's, get the free 2,300-2,500 (depending on wins) coms for doing intro, daily and weekly (approx 7 matches). Running 8-9 level 10's (or any lowbies) will get you a full 208 set for a main 65. Honestly, to the OP, gut up, do the time, stop whining and get your companion. I sucked ballz for the first 15 matches but also got some kills and won some matches. I took heat from geared PvPer's and came back with 204 and then 208 and wiped their faces later on. Edit: I also was able to recruit 3 other guildies to join me and now we are running a 4 man team in WarZones and sometimes 8 if it pops right.
  14. Very good... Got 3 Spearman statues, the huge Sand Crawler, Yavin Arena, and tons of other lesser but expensive decorations no longer in circulation. I also got a lot of crap ones...errr....not selling or I already had. You will have to open quite a few packs...like 14,500cc worth to get the rng to benefit you.
  15. Most of these will work as emotes, but some could be expanded into regen animations also. Cartwheel Summersault (1 for forward & 1 for backwards) Calisthenics (jumping jacks, knee touch, toe touch, run in place/high-knee) Yoga pose (4 or 5 different ones) Back Bend and fail/fall Cross arms with toe tap Sit and Drink or eat (with cup or food on plate spawned) Stand Eat or Drink Stand & Lean on elbows (near table, bar, etc) Belly Flop and pass out (run like 3 feet then jump and flop on belly) Forward Pass Out/Faint Failed Rocket boots (jump up, boots fire and fail, then hit the floor face first, get up dazed) Roundhouse Kick Fix (multiple random "fixing an object") Tantrum (1 for standing and 1 for the floor) The Worm (do the Worm on the floor) Break Dance (floor "Back Spin") Trip (fall then get up dazed holding head) Judo Chop Face slap (animation to use on others) Tea Bag (lol)(might call this one twerkit) Defend face (like in boxing) Butt slap (on another player) Butt Burn (lick finger and touch butt with sizzle sound) Scratch Butt (lol) Mop (with a mop and bucket) Floor Clean (on knees & on hands and knees) Window Wash (with a rag in hand) Wax on Wax off (from karate Kid) Wall Lean (right and left) Wall Lean (back) Bang Head (standing by a wall) Bang Head Sitting (with sit animation & spawn a random chair) Blow nose Sneeze Rub eyes Rub face Rub n i p p l e s (lol) Lean in Kiss (actual leaning in and kiss face) Hug (wraps arms) Open arms (to receive a hug) Barf or Puke (with real barf coming out and on floor) Lost my balance or Dizzy (PG version of drunk) YMCA! Butt Scootch (in a circle) Jump and Spin Wave a Small Flag (imperial or republic) Wave White Flag
  16. All of them if you stack enough CRIT and SURGE, but doing so and negelcting main stat/power will make them smaller but more frequent. Balance works wonders. Sure one ability might every once in a while get a high crit, but who cares. Your wasting your time and effort and no one will care if "X" ability crits for 30k.
  17. I take it you most likely have only seen a few of the actual helms in game. There are literally hundreds to choose from. I personally find most of them great. You have to be skilled in TOR Fashion to put the right helm with the right outfit. If you go strictly with generic outfits (sets) then yeah some helms are ugly. Mix and match. I can make the ugliest helm you could name look good with the right outfit.
  18. Sounds like a herd of Banthas urinating full force all over my Stronghold!
  19. The ambient sound volume with distance has been borked/turned off. All fountains do this now. From OP's post there are more objects doing it as well. I posted specifically on the fountains just now. Before I saw this post. My Strongholds now sound like a full men's room, during halftime, at a Football game.
  20. So, all the fountains "for Strongholds" ambient sounds do not scale with distance any longer. I can hear my fountains from across Tat hold, even tho my fountains are on opposite end from top level. Nar shad hold has fountains outside, I can hear them from spawn area/front top room. Same goes for DK Hold. PLEASE FIX ASAP! Very loud and overpowering when in stronghold for extended periods doing GTM selling or whatever.
  21. Also, It takes about 1-2 weeks or less (depending on your schedule) now with 12xp to level another Advanced Class to 60. We do not need Dual Spec at all.
  22. Please post your new player questions in the "New Player" forums. This is not the place for random gear questions. there are people there who will be willing to help you. Orange gear, as you can clearly see, has 3 slots and a dye slot. There is an Armor slot a Mod slot and an Enhancement slot. You put those in there. Each one (Armor, Mod, Enhancement) has stats on them. You can take them out and you can put new ones in. All Orange Gear is empty shells except world dropped gear and a few pieces from the cartel market for low level characters. If you want the look of the armor shells you can use the Outfitter thing and equip the armor in tabs 1 thru 16 and apply the look but keep all your stats as they are.
  23. Honestly OP you should have posted this in the "New Player" forum. I would also suggest taking more time to learn the game, learn all the tabs and windows that can be opened before you rant like a lunatic.
  24. So, I would like to say that I find this whole "Slot Machine" fiasco rather interesting, yet insanely amusing with all the false facts and accusations that have flown around. Let me give everyone a little insider knowledge about what I think really brought the grade 11 purple market down. It was solely the result of hoarders, like myself, who buy hundreds of dollars’ worth of cartel packs. I have/had horded over 20 or more stacks of 99 Purple Jawa Junk for the sole purpose of getting grade 11 mats when they were open for sale on the Jawa vendors. (I had more but used them for level 55-60 stuff and decorations) All of these stacks came from Cartel Packs and a handful from conquest. Where I see a huge flaw in all the blaming and crying over the Slot Machines------ I know there are many more like me on my server who spends the big bucks on packs. I see them regularly posting up consistent numbers of rare cartel items and the like throughout the duration of a packs life time. Usually before it is embargoed or until the prices drop and the items need to go into storage for later sales. Knowing these people exist and are doing the same as me, I am sure they too have hoarded many stacks of purple Jawa Junk as well. I spent mine on myself and crafted tons of level 60 stims, adrenals, med packs, and other crafting for my plethora of characters for my own use. I also use my green Junk for conquest crafting. I chose not to "cash in" on my Junk. I had other better things to sell from packs and I knew the market was going to be scarce with the influx of grade 11 mats. Not worth my time. Here is the most logical reason for what really went down. The market from day one after the patch was flooded with grade 11 high end mats from the hoarders with anywhere from 20-100 stacks of purple Jawa Junk. There is no way the amount of Jawa Junk injected in the market came from the slots in the first 3 days after the Acolytes pack release. For one, there is a 2 day timer on the packs. Two, the Jawa vendors were available from day one (early Tuesday) after the patch. Three, the market for mats started to go down early day 2 (Wednesday) after the patch. This is only 36 hours or less. No slot machines are being bought/sold, just learned and used by a few. Thus the logical and most reasonable conclusion is that THE SELL PRICE OF GRADE 11 MATS WAS INCORRECTLY ESTIMATED AND PUT INTO PLACE ON THE VENDORS. 2 Jawa junk per mat was way too low. Yes I do see that the Slots were being used from day 1, but not to their full extent until Friday and through the weekend........after the crash already was well in effect from the Cartel market Jawa junk grade 11 item purchases. The slots just masked the real problem. The Cartel market Jawa Junk hoarders were the cause and effect of the market problem, not the so much the slot machine. The only thing the slot machines did was add to the fire and gave Bioware a scapegoat to cover up their real mistake which was overlooking the large amount of Jawa Junk hoarders were holding out for grade 11 mats on the vendor. It only took a few people with few hundred stacks of Junk to flood the market and lower prices. It does not take a slot machine handing out minimal stacks over a long duration. Grounding the Slot Machine was in effect Bio's way of eliminating a suspect to assess what is actually the cause of the market problems. It was a dumb way of doing it though. Here is what I saw: The market was hit all at once with the mats, not over 5-6 days. After the initial influx, and over the next 5-6 days, with the small help of the Slot Machine, the cascade effect then took hold. Since anyone could buy, with credits, grade 11 mats super cheap, even more people started crafting high end items. There went the market for all effected crafting areas. So, what should have been done, on Biowares end, was to raise the Jawa trader price on Grade 11 from 2 junks per to 11 per or 15 junks per grade 11 item (11 JJ gets you 1 grade 11 mat so a stack of 99 JJ =9 mats). END OF THE PROBLEM with HORDERS AND SLOT MACHINES. Then, they should have taken their time over the next 2 weeks adjusting the Slot Machine (with testing) and adjusted both the Junk dealers and the machine to balance out in a final patch. This will also help when the next Cartel Pack comes out (if anyone buys them) and dishes out tons of Jawa junk (purple). Occam's Razor is a line of reasoning that says the simplest answer is often correct. Jawa vendors and their price for grade 11 mats was the problem from the start.
  25. Since you haven't yet learned comprehension and must have not finished high school, you might want to re-read and see the part where I stated "NONE ARE ON THE GTN". I never said the Krayte Dragon deco wasn't in the packs nor did I imply it. I simply was stating that that was the only deco I haven't received yet since it is super rare and there are plenty on the GTN. I think you need to re think what logic is and how to use it son.
