The haterz are just a bunch of poor people qqing about having to spend money. If you are subbed and saving Cartel Coins, I'm sure there will be an option to purchase the xpac in the Cartel Market after launch with your coins, essentially getting you the xpac for free. Last night I saw The Hobbit in 3D (awesome movie btw). I paid $12 for the ticket alone and received 3 hours of entertainment. I easily burn 3 hours in this game just cycling through alts for Crew Skills on any given night. Already pre-ordered and done. Looking forward to the OPvP that is bound to flare up in the new leveling areas. And this is where we are different. Im not gonna watch Hobbit becouse several animals died during making of this movie. I wont support them just like i wont support BW untill they stop being ******es. Its not about 10 or 20 bucks. But remind me again what im paying 15 bucks a month for? By that reasoning they could (and probably will) start charging for more or less everything... they just "wont charge all that much" and everyone will be ok with it. And before you know it your monthly subscription fee doubles because each month they release more small stuff that SHOULD be included in a monthly sub but will be added on as "pay to use"... When has an MMO ever added a level cap increase, more story, and an entire new zone without charging for it? 15 bucks is for the game you are already paying to play with patches to update and fix existing content. I have no idea why people are freaking out so much about this other than they seem to think it's not enough. Based on what? I've never seen an mmo add any new large amounts of contents for free except maybe Guild Wars and that was never set up as a subscription model. This confusion of what is or isn't an expansion needs to end, you are paying for content in the game, that doesn't entitle you to all new conent even by WoW standards. It seems an ideal time to introduce some of the more alien species onto the game as such aliens become a more powerful force in the galaxy as the Hutts look to take over. BrandoBlast Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 With the announcement of the new digital expansion, I want to make a topic almost begging for BW/EA to make this something worth people getting behind. The story is imho, the only real stand out feature in this game and I think it's extremely important for them to deliver with this digital expansion and not give real fans a reason to point their finger accusing this of being a cash grab. On that note, I also think it's important that we as a community support the expansion as best as we can and to keep the faith in BW. As said previously, the story is probably the best feature of the game and we as a community need to encourage them as much as possible to focus on that instead of them ending up forcing to release fluff content every month designed to sell Cartel Market items. I'm also secretly hoping that the expansion will bring a proper endgame feel to the game and not be as dire as when the game first launched. Many of the people who initially quit done so because the end game was bad and was something done far better and more polished elsewhere. I feel that if this can be addressed as well as the content having that good ol Star Wars feel, then we could very well be onto a winner and might actually really breathe new life into the game. See this is part of the problem. There is a big difference between boot-licking and cow-towing. I too hope this is what some have been waiting for in the game. I too plan to purchase Makeb, But not until after we have more concrete evidence of whats in store. Difference is also I do not like how they went about this. Well, technically, everytime you load up your character screen you 'choose a side' by loading up an Imperial or a Republic character. I'm pretty sure that's what that means. TeganKing Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 To all those saying they will not buy the expansion, ok that is fine, im sure my level 55 will enjoy torturing you in the new 50-55 warzones =p No doubt, Makeb will be hours of content to get us to 55, and just like any expansion, the new planet (zone) will be much bigger than the OG zones we started with (ie Tatooine). You can probably go home and find $9.99 in your couch right now or you can sell some of the junk in your room. How about recycling those cans and bottles in your house or your apartment?
