There are much more pressing issues, which would improve the game overall then a SGR.. Imagine swoop racing or space revamp! So much fresh air into the game! IF you focus your efforts on such trivial things like SGR people will get mad on following things: a) developers b) game c) people who actually want SGR d) homosexuals in REAL WORLD I am mad at least at 2 of those things already and I believe some people are already mad on all of them. I don't mind and actually would want to see SGR in the game, but it's not pressing issue. Focus your work on RWZ, FP, bugs and new content. Leave SGR for expansion with new companions/revamp of old. Housing was never something they said they'd put in. There are new space missions on the way, and they are working on something secret for space. They haven't said they'll add swoop racing either. What I don't care any about is PvP or Operations, however I don't go into threads about those and be all negative (this isn't directed at you, but rather some of the more uncivil posters who don't want to see this in the game) Doesn't make the space cases tell the minigamers to shove off and wait. C'mon, who wasn't lying about their age to sign up for some virtual pet site over a decade ago? And what of the pole dancers, the slave collars, the torture, the killing for money? Well, they're here because seedy dives and bad guys are part of the Star Wars universe. And so is romance, even if it's calling your loved one anything from a scruffy-looking nerf herder, to... soft unlike sand (shudder). This is why we need an official and formal announcement regarding SGRs. It'll make that debunked list crystal clear. I also feel some of the controversy going on in here is just the tip of the iceberg. If BW wants the implementation of SGRs to go a little smoother, they need to come out and talk to the player base as a whole. Waste more time and money so writers and voice actors can go back and do a couple minutes of dialog while you see 2 cartoons kiss and the screen fades to black? No thanks. It's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. If its THAT big of a deal to some people to get a little in game "nod" to homosexuality that they have to start countless threads then I feel sorry for them. I'm straight but I'm not militantly straight to the point to where having any type romance options in this game is a big deal to me, nor would I care if it didn't exist. Why don't I care? Because I'm not so lonely and pathetic to feel they need to get off on relationships inside the realm of a freaking video game. Seriously, its 5 sec cut scene that shouldn't matter to heterosexuals and homosexuals alike, no other player in the game would ever know your sexual orientation anyway ... Now if they get a character title to go with your sexual preference, then I could understand why everyone would scream for it. Since there isn't, I don't see the point in demanding BW make this a priority over other issues that this game really needs attention to. Sorry. EDIT: and don't give me the whole 'you're a homophobe a-hole' crap, I just don't care. I have an uncle who I'm very close to that is not only gay, but cross dresses and had a sex change. I don't judge him. The SGR thread has done so several times recently. Any information you need is at the Contact Info sig at the bottom. That includes Twitter, email, and snail mail. They do read and respond to constructive letters. The bug fixes will still get worked on. So will PvP, gear balance, Ops and HMs. They are different departments and they like to have everything as polished as possible. This will not take away time or resources from other departments. The money has been spent and it would be a waste to put optional on the back burner for too long. Plus, it's been promised and it is coming. They exist, people just don't write about them. Maybe a fanservice character in the occasional obscure video game, or the comic relief in that one movie, or that guy who dies in that one book. And there's starting to be more, but whenever the possibility comes up people wring their hands about redheads wanting representation, and what if the children start dyeing their hair? That might be why BW is keeping quiet about this It's funny you say this, because I've had the opposite experience. Someone pro sgr makes a thread, then it gets derailed by someone getting religious/discriminating/trolling, you name it. For the most part it's the pro side that has come up with logic, well thought out posts. Of course, there will be some times that things get slightly heated, but for the most part I don't see alot of drama coming from those that are for it.
