  1. ...or romance her, Valyin's kinda hot, half cutesy diva/ half sociopathic vamp; like a cross between Vette, and Jaesa. Marry Kill, or Stick her...either way you'd still get her clothes. And yes, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do something about Lana's outfit!! She looks like a homeless linebacker!! And what's with the Page-boy style hair-do she has now? Since the galaxy's in trouble Lana thought the best course of action was to get the worlds worst hair cut? What I want to 1. I'd like to see In-story Choices affecting the survivability of companions. (IE... a series of choices results in the loss of companion A, B, C, D, E. or..etc) 2. Have romances become more interactive than an "I love you" once or twice along the way. Have the actual romance play a pivotal part in how the story itself unfolds. 3. For gods sake, please let us fix the atrocious fashion choices of some of our companions! A few select comps are banned from ever receiving fresh clothes and wardrobe updates!! 4. I want to know what became of ALL our original crew mates. 5. I would like to see Valkorian discuss and talk about his life as Vitiate.
  2. Maybe so. But ........ 1. Wasn't aware that Lana was an "armor" wearer. In the other installments she never wore armor. 1. Other armored characters still don't look like they have disproportionate heads. 2. And if she's actually decided to become a full on Juggernaut, then she's actually wearing her clothes OVER her armor. Not sure how many people wear THAT much armor UNDER their clothes but it would imply she had to have custom made clothes for the sole purpose of looking dowdy and frumpy not to mention the impracticality of it. Chaffing and bathroom breaks come to mind.... not too mention that she'd have to buy a new set of clothes every time her armor absorbed a hit. I'm still thinking this was a somewhat botched remodeling of Miss Beniko, either that or she joined a sweedish ladies weightlifting team.
  3. The body for Lana Beniko in KOTFE seems rather "blocky" and oversized, making her appear to have a rather tiny head. Whatever the issue is, something about it just looks odd. Could we kinda fix this? It's a bit on the visually annoying side.
  4. How about appearance customizations for Ms. Beniko?
  5. Would like to be able to choose and customize the clothing and equipment of our new companions in KOTFE. Currently only weapons are customizable for all the new ones. Thanks
  6. Like any major media production, be it a movie or game, it's future depends greatly upon the success of the latest installment. I personally think the idea of cutting the game off was likely tossed around after Disney's acquisition of Lucas Arts. After all this is a monster MMO and requires ALOT of maintenance and upkeep and not to mention programming, design, and voice talent that needs to be kept on retainer. After the first year or two this game was rumored to have been in serious trouble, but the move to F2P an addition of the Cartel Market pulled it from the brink. The supposed reason it wasn't pulled was because of the enormous investment put into it, and the desire to see something for all the effort. Since then the game was trudged along steadily. It's the not the lightning rod and golden gem project it was in the beginning, but putting that much focus and resources on it was likely seen as a mistake that led to a big drop in profit after the first year or so. Currently the game is still working, it's still bringing in profit, and it's still being touted as one of the top MMO's around. The lack of "attention" many people here seem to be referring to, or lack of enthusiasm by EA and Lucas Arts, I believe, reflects a more pragmatic attention to profit and budget needs. I think they just don't want to make the same mistake as they did in the beginning by betting the house on the idea that KOTOR is going to be the next WOW. I personally dislike WOW, but WOW is a special situation, and even if you put out a superior product (obviously) that's no guarantee you'll duplicate WOW's success. I think that''s really at the heart of what the initial poster was talking about. Regardless, the new expansion has been generally well received by critics and even better received by gamers. (According to Game Informer). It doesn't satisfy all the critics, but overall it's a decent and solid addition. And based on all this, considering the amount of time and effort involved in the game, not to mention this recent expansion (which is probably one of the best they've put out IMHO), there's no reason to assume the game is going away anytime soon.
  7. Would like to see the cosmetic item and equip slots on our new (summonable), companions/allies, opened up. My 8 year old daughter enjoys dressing them up, and customizing matching team outfits. It's just something we enjoy doing together. Okay,.. .I get a kick out of it too. But seriously,,, open up those equipment slots.
  8. Hello Bioware/EA geniuses, love the new expansion, pleasantly surprised and impressed with it. Thanks for injecting some new life into a storyline that was getting kinda dull and had nowhere left to go. Good Job! I would like to offer at least one or two requests/suggestions for the next update or two. I'm kinda wanting to see cosmetic equipment customizations made available for the some of the Core- companions in the new Expansion KOTFE. Specifically, poor Lana looks really bulky and "square shouldered" like she's been power-lifting for the last five years. I dunno her whole body design seems off a bit, If I remember correctly she was a bit more waif and normal sized in the last expansion. Granted, maybe she's been in a pro-wrestling circuit the last few years or something, but either way she looks like she's rocking Triple-H's body, kinda weird. I don't think the outfit design is that bad, it fits her personality (she's a very understated, somber, practical person {reminiscent of my wife It's just that it looks like she bought it from the "men's big and tall store. 1. With that in mind, how about allowing us to customize their outfits so they don't help us save the galaxy looking like fashion victims? Secondly, I've noticed I'm getting a "crap-ton" of legacy gear with every "pack" I turn in (military, ancient artifact, smuggled goods...etc) in in the KOTFE expansion. I started the expansion with about 8 pieces of customizable legacy gear which took me years to acquire. After two or three weeks of KOTFE, I have more than tripled that amount, and have close to 50 pieces of customizable legacy gear! Now I love legacy gear, it's awesome to have it, but really; I'm good at this point! I'm just running out of room in my vaults and it just seems wrong to throw the stuff away or sell it off to a vendor. 2. Is there anything else just as awesome that we can get from our "shares" of turned in packs besides an enormous abundance of customizable legacy gear and jerky schematics? Thanks for all the hard work, guys and gals. Let's keep this MMO running till the end of days.
  9. I'm sorta on board with most of what you all are saying. The only up side to the the new changes to companions is that you don't give yourself a migraine trying to make sure all of your comps have up to date equip. I mean if you use customizable crap on all of them. That's like 30-40 mods per comp, not only does that get expensive but also time consuming and mind numbing. I've spend hours just trying to update a few of my companions after completing an expansion. So in a way it's very freeing not to have to worry about that, and it allows me to focus my efforts and times on stuff I actually WANT to do. This also had the unexpected benefit of freeing up a TON of cargo space. Now I don't need to hold on to all that stuff I might want to save for so-and-so companion, or keep all those extra mods. With that said, I find the idea of "dumbing down" or simplifying the companion system a bit concerning. Simplicity is nice, and quite welcome, but not at the cost of depth and quality of gameplay. I enjoyed the depth of customization for each of my companions, and I'm a bit worried that it's been so dramatically overhauled. Maybe try another way to fix this? Finally I personally find it quite frustrating to not be able to customize the cosmetic appearance of the new companions in the ROTFE expansion. Please patch this and allow us to put some new outfits and share our extensive wardrobe with our new allies!
  10. A note for all the anti "Smash" people. For Smash to deliver it's max damage at maximum effect, you first need to have the correct skills set, and then hit three attacks -charge, or choke, then obliterate, and many times battering assault, before punching in Smash. This needs to be done in near perfect sync to charge up your buffs and bonuses, and then of course be executed in a group of opponents for it to do it's max damage. It's not just a one step attack that is ripped off instantly. Don't get me wrong when executed perfectly Smash is a frickin beast and can whip upwards of 4-5k damage per opponent. -sometimes more. But, currently in PvP a lot of opponents do an admirable job of avoiding a Maruaders Smash, it's not hard to do and the attack is not impossible to avoid. You just have to keep your eyes out, mark the Smashers, and stay out of melee range when they start there sequence. A smart PvPer can easily move out of range rather quickly or push the Smasher away when he's prepping his Smash. The thing is -a Marauder built around Smash is usually limited to that particular attack sequence. Once you break their rhythm then the playing field becomes significantly level. I'm just as likely to get wiped out before landing a max Smash as I am to actually land it.
  11. No it wasn't a bug or mod. I just ran through the final chapters of a clean version of SWTOR The Sith Lords to double check. I've played this game like 20 times, and played through about 4 times as a female. She always is a viable romance option throughout the game for a female. As for the dialogue, referencing the Handmaiden, call it something missed by Obsidian. If you want to be picky about it, you can always say that Visas was expressing jealousy over the obvious admiration Brianna held towards the female exile. After all the female exile still meets the Handmaiden in Atris's Academy. However I will grant this. I purchased one of the first editions of SWTOR: TSL (Kotor 2 for the uninitiated) and I did run across some discussion referencing Obsidian changing a few things in the later patches and retail versions. (This was several years ago and I don't remember where) I think I vaguely remember a similar discussion about Visas too. From what I remember, Obsidian may have taken out the same-sex romance option between the Exile and Visas with it's later productions. Many of the newer game owners of that forum where confused about the same sex option, saying it wasn't available on their version. The change may have been an executive decision forced by Lucasfilms, worried about the controversial subject. People inquired about it, but Obsidian never really said much about it. Only saying that they needed to include some changes in their new production batches. But as it stands, yes. I can totaly lez up with Visas on TSL. We even have "force sex"!
  12. I'm not sure if this had been answered yet. But yes Visas is most definitely a same-sex romance option, as much as anyone else is in KOTOR 2. I have romanced her as both male and female characters. There is an interaction that takes place which can only be triggered by a high affection and light side rating just before you head to Telos to face Nihlus. Let me quote the interaction. "I ask you... I beg you to stay here.. with me." "I want to look upon you, where no one else can see, where it is just us. I want to see your face, the color of your skin. I wish to see what the Handmaiden sees when she looks at you that causes her heart to race, and her tone to change. What causes her to forsake her heritage, her oaths... as you made me forsake mine. I... need to know if perhaps I am wrong, if the universe is not as my Master once showed me." "From the moment I heard your voice across the galaxy, I have longed for you. It is the echo, a wound that travels still, that when heard, made me understand that there was another wounded as I was, one who had felt the same sense of loss. When i heard it, I loved you more than my own life. And I wanted you to be here, with me, for as long as you will let me love you. Stay... And I want you to see what I see when I gaze upon you. I want you to know why I cannot look at you, and why I am drawn to you." I'd say that interaction doesn't leave much to doubt.
  13. Wow, I post a question and come back two days later and have 17 plus pages of replies, and arguments and have it closed all before I even bothered to check it again. Had a couple of thoughts. If the same-sex romance options are in the works, and it takes so much time to record dialogue for these options to be released in a timely manner, then why haven't these options been offered with the new content that was released? Should we assume that the dialogue had been pre-recorded and then post released as part of the update or patch? The question I'm left with is this, if you could record dialogue for the new updates then why can't you add in some romance options that would satisfy those looking for same-sex romance options? On the side I fully understand not changing the story and dialogue after the fact, simply to add a gay/lesbian romance option. The story was made as is, and it works well, it would be a disrespect to the writers to change it all up simply to cater to something as superficial as a romance option. Another thing to keep in mind, is that it wouldn't be realistic to make everyone a potential "gay or lesbian" romance option. The fact is not everyone is actually gay or lesbian! Giving EVERY romance option a gay/lesbian possibility wouldn't be very realistic. With that said, I don't think it would be unreasonable to add some same-sex options. We do have a somewhat sizable GLT gaming community as I understand it. One of the things I thought was brilliant about KOTOR 2, was the same sex romance option of Visas Marr, however this wasn't something overly hyped or over-played. It unfolded nicely, seemed plausible, and given the nature of her species and the nature of her connection with the Exile it seemed something that felt natural. Last thing we need in TOR is a series of poorly written forced same-sexrelationship scenarios for the sake of pleasing pushy players. When it's implemented let's hope Bioware make it seem plausible and well written. If we pressure them to pump something out, it may come out crappy. ME
  14. It was announced at the beginning of the year, that we would actually see the implementation of same sex romance options in TOR. At the time it was a hot topic and evoked a lot of discussion all over the place. Since then I've heard absolutely nothing more about it, besides the occasional speculation and the long outdated comment that it's coming down the pipe. It's almost the end of the year and we have not heard or seen anything substantial in regards to this promised addition. To be honest this is the one big addition I've been waiting for, and it would help if I could find any recent piece of information regarding it. Any information on where they are with this; are they even working on it? Or has Bioware just randomly shelved the idea after all the hype?
  15. I'd like to see alot more interactions and options for interaction with your spouse after the story line is over and done. After marrying Vette my SW received a few cute and funny messages from her, but then nothing else. Would be nice to have random and unique conversations from your spouse that continue on despite the completion of the romance and overall storyline. And an example she could make random comments and statement similar to what that annoying droid does when you walk past him. Or address the fact that Vette never once mentions her concern for my characters welfare no matter how many times he's double-crossed and left for dead. Would also be nice to have your allies comment on your marital status. Maybe even have romance/spouse focused missions, or quests. Specifically I'd like to see my spouse move from her spot on the ship to my characters personal quarters as a sign that she is now a unique part of his background. In that vein I think it would be a good idea to have the option to set your allies to "roam" on the ship, so they don't seem so static and "pinned". It's a small ship, I doubt you'd have trouble finding them.
