Have you considered sponsoring an eSports circuit/contest to draw attention to PvP and ranked warzones, much like other games have done? Wouldn't need a lot of money to get people excited, probably no more than the travel costs you paid for the fansite & guild summits.

 

People would probably do it for a title :) "World Champion 2012"

Ok, this is a minor pet peeve of mine I have been wondering about for a while now. If you go Datacron hunting, you will discover that each one is color coded according to which stat bonus it will give you. Stims are also color coded according to stat. So why is it Datacrons and Stims don't use the same color code? Strength (red) is the only one that's the same for both.

 

Purple Datacron = Willpower

 

Purple Stim = Presence

 

and so on...

 

Again, it's just a minor pet peeve of mine, but shouldn't color coding like this be universal?

One of the first things I hear when a new game comes out is, "How's the character creation?"

But, with SWTOR, I have to tell them it's severely lacking, but the game itself is awesome.

 

Is there any possibility that the character creator will be brought up to speed with the rest of the MMO world, not to mention the awesomeness of the rest of SWTOR, at any point in the future?

(Or, has there been internal discussion about this issue and what might the team feel about it?)

With the addition of the Bound-to-Legacy Renowned and Exalted gear in 1.2, we were given the ability to remove modifications from any item (including endgame gear) and send them in a piece of Legacy gear to another character. Personally, I've found this extremely helpful, despite the incredible amount of credits that removing those mods requires. Was this ever intended to be a function of the orange Legacy gear? If so, are there any plans to expand the system beyond armor (can we expect to see orange-quality Legacy mainhand and offhand weapons in the future?)

Hey,

 

Are there any plans to fix how debuffs show up on targets? As a Madness Sorc, tracking my dots is a very important part of maximizing my DPS. With the large amount of debuff's on a target in an Op (and their constant moving around as more get applied/expire), this is considerably harder then it should be. This goes double if you happen to have more then one of a class in your group makeup, or if the fight requires any sort of reactive movement.

 

I think this has been mentioned a few times, but we haven't really seen/heard anything concrete about the plans regarding this. Is any sort of revamp here expected any time soon?

Will the UI team ever get the option to hide some of the "flashy" animations? E.G. The heals that light the character up, or the buffs popping, and maybe even the circles on the ground for AoE effects? Now I ask this because I've been fiddling with Machinima aspects within TOR, whether for a content release or something like a guild trailer. You can't show good combat though with all the templates and healers keeping the group up. What I'm suggesting is not something that would effect other players. The cameraman would just toggle off these effect just like combat fly-text and player names.

Given equal gear, a DPS player can double the damage of a tank, but the threat multiplier is not high enough to compensate for this. As a consequence, taunts have to be used in the tanking rotation to prevent aggro loss, making it likely that they're unavailable for important events like recurring tank swaps. Is this challenge an intended part of tank gameplay?

When I saw that 1.3 would make space combat a viable means of levelling, I was really excited. I really enjoy it. But now that I think about it, it's not quite balanced right. Some of the later ones are quite difficult, and seem to require you to have spaceship parts you'd have to be several levels higher in order to complete. Will the legacy perks allow you to equip ship parts of higher levels, or are you going to take another look at the difficulty of the later missions, specifically the second escort?

Currently, crafting missions have a chance to drop schematics from the opposite faction. Given the uselessness of these schematics for the faction the player that's crafting, combined with a cumbersome and intentionally difficult means of trading with the opposite faction that's not being used, the following effects can be seen:

 

  • Schematics that will essentially have no monetary value since they will have to be vendored.
  • Lowered chances for players who are trying to obtain a specific schematic to actually get it, do to competition from useless schematics from the opposite faction.

 

My question is this: are opposite faction schematic drops an intended part of the crafting system? If so, what is the justification for this and are there any planned changes for the future?

I know that there is not currently any plan in the works to make set bonuses from Tier One gear bound to the armoring rather than the shell. Is there a possibility of that being changed in the future, or is there a game-mechanics reason to keep this system as is? Given the wide support for making this change, I feel it's a valid question to ask.

 

On a personal note, I'm really tired of wearing the same armor as every other Gunnery Commando at endgame. I understand that making this change retroactive for already-obtained gear would be really hard, but hot dang, can you at least make it so that Tier One gear acquired after the patch has set bonuses on the armoring?

I'm one of the many concerned about where my servers current community will end up, as well as my guild, will there be a voting option for servers/guilds to transfer collectively and an opt out option for those uninterested? I know many guilds I'd love to continue seeing after server transfers, and it would be a bit disappointing to have to start over with a new community.

I have largely come to terms that we will not be seeing any commentary or changes regarding the pace and feel of PvP combat. As such I am forced to move to a new question:

 

-Cross server warzone queues. Can we expect them? Have they even been discussed? With the supposed inclusion of Ranked WZs in 1.3 and the inconsistent spread of the population across far too many servers, this seems like something very important to the game's longevity. What can we expect, if anything at all?

On the site it say's 1.3 is almost ready for test center... When can we expect the patch to be in-game for real?

Why not release transfer before 1.3?

 

 

Tbh this sucks so damn much..... 1.3 soon ready for TC.... **** is all I have to say... this pisses me off because this means it's still far away from getting into the servers... I don't wanna sit around for another month beeing able to not doing a shi*. The server is so dead that you can't pvp or run any instances.... You can't do anyhting.... Why can't you guys drop the character transfer before 1.3? This is needed because your loosing customers everyday because of this.... Last week i've read on general chat at least 8 people saying they've canceled their subscription... And tbh I understand them because you guys don't deserv our money atm; we're paying for this game and we can't do anything in-game atm. I know you developers are working hard and your doing a good job, but right now I feel your focusing on the wrong thing and somethings maybe have to wait.. :confused:

It has been announced that in the upcoming months/year that we will see new playable species added. Will these new species be given to all classes or will they be unlockable through the Legacy system? Edited by Parali
