Rootez
I'm a PVPer I don't do run Hardmode Flashpoints or do any other PVE, I've been there done that got the T-shirt it other MMO's, however it seems to get my social rank up to be able to buy some of the cool stuff I have to do PVE? why is this BW? I get the point its to encurage people to play the game together but is running WZ and queing with others not considered social in this game? KewarraSlayer
Ahhh, exactly how "social" is PvP really? I mean, you join up, whack the crap outta whoever is against you and 'try' to work as a team. It's not like sitting in the pub talking about it... L_Starbreeze
Good question, pvp is at all levels and anyone can do it, and IMO probably the most social part of this game.
Zenbuster
If you've got time to socialise during pvp, then you aren't fighting too hard. What a silly post. Kinda like saying I dont ever like to pvp, but there should be some way for me to get valor. /smack

Dayfax
I don't see a helluva lot of difference between the "social" aspects of PvP and PvE. That said, Social Points are supposed to be something of a grind, and it'd be too easy to minimize that in PvP simply by botting or AFKing. Grotpar
/thread No, not /thread. Joining a warzone as a group is a social activity, who said social points have to be a PvE only thing? Nobody is saying you should get social points for solo queue'ing, that would be stupid, but queue'ing as a group? Yeah, why not? IIII-IIII-IIII
No, not /thread. It's retarded. No, it was /thread. If you want to reopen the discussion, let's start with introducing repair bills to PvP. Shall we continue with the homogenization of the two? Alpha-Llama
i have got to know quite a few people in warzones THere tends to be 1 minute 43 before each round if you join the zone early enough and as long as i want to chat when the warzone ends > unless i choose to hit the exit warzone button. I do think its a social activity and i have made in game friends or begun to know them because of warzones. So all the people being sarcastic about this post need to think long and hard about their dismissal of this thread. On my server Corellians run there are many well known "faces" or "regulars" in PVP and warzones and of course people converse and jibe each other when respawning and waiting to rejoin. The game is as fun as you make it. Edited February 27, 2012 by Alpha-Llama
Ebbikenezer
Lololololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is, definitely very far up there as far as the lamest complaint threads list. Probably somewhere between "requiring" an Android or iPhone to play and the game running crappy on a 7year old laptop. This is right between those two. You want Social Points for PvP? I could agree with that, but if so I would also like: -Champion Bags dropping from EVERY HM Flashpoint boss as well as a Battlemaster bag when completed. -Repairs for PvP deaths. -PvP titles for running Ops and vice versa. -The ability to toggle my PvP flag on and off in WZs. -PvP-Free (Completely unavailable) Servers and Forums. -PvP-Only Servers and Forums. -Speeder Drops at the end of every WZ, the very best ones. -PvE Loot drops from killing players in WZs. -Valor Rank for completing Quests. That's a good start. PvP ruins MMOs, always has, always will, and this thread is a perfect example of why. Asking for something you can't have without engaging in PvE. It's not like sitting in the pub talking about it... PvP is as social as it gets. Our content is completely dependent on other players. Unlike Eternity Vault, if other people don't show up for PvP, we have nothing to do. Our entire playstyle revolves around interacting with other players...which is why social points SHOULD be awarded.

Voqar
I wish they'd remove PvP from TOR, along with all the wannabe PvPers. Doing WZs isn't even PvP, it's a joke of an e-sport. You get rewards handed out like candy for doing the lowest quality most ez-mode thing in the game. WZs require no skill, you don't even have to try, you don't require a group (you end up in a group but you don't have to put any effort into forming one, or forming one of any particular compostion or balance). The outcome means nothing. You get rewards whether you win or lose. Instances WZ type content is the lamest and most ez-mode content ever created. It's even more wussified than solo questing.
