TLDR Had to stop when you said "MMO". How can it be an mmo when nobody plays it except a few remaining fanboys who are holding on out of spite?

The people who don't spacebar through the dialog are really in the minority. Yes it was a dumb waste of money. Yes they could have used that money to better develop the game and actually make it ready for a modern mmo launch instead of giving what should have been there months late.

Well I would agree if this game was in fact an MMO.

Some people are just too stubborn to admit the game needs major work to actually be fun to play the end-game elements. As it stands now it's just a bland experience at end-game.

My group of gamers started at 15 and over the past 2 months that number has dwindled to 0. I was the last one about a week ago. I'm sure this is happening all over the place, and it's due largely to the server pops as people have mentioned in this thread, as well as a pretty lame endgame. The game just gets old after a while in general. It doesn't really bring anything new to the table other than the questing and overall setting. We were big pvpers also, and got burnt out on the grind.

It kind of has to for a space mmo, man. I think the artists have more freedom with high-fantasy.

What exactly is an hour in an MMO anyway? It feels like about 5 minutes real time as long as you are kept busy and enjoying the quest.

I agree and it's one of the reasons I unsubbed a few days ago. I hit my breaking point and was like - "eff this, I'd rather play LoTRO than this p.o.s."

My advice is to hold off calculating anything until after the current free 30 days is up. You should see numbers drop by a substantial amount and get a more accurate figure. Also, can you link proof of 1.7 mil active subs? I simply don't believe this number with most servers being extremely low-pop, save "The Fatman" and a couple others.

"Vast majority" is a little generous considering over the weekend there were 38 Imp and 17 Pub on their respective fleets at prime time.

^this Really should have done at least paid transfers already. Now they get hit two-fold: loss of sales for xfers and loss of customers due to lack of xfers.

I've unsubbed already based on the fact that my server can't support a healthy pvp environment any more. I'm not even playing the remainder of my free 30 days - just done. I've updated LOTRO for which I have a 'lifetime sub' to and it's pretty sad when I can find more enjoyment in a 5 yr old FTP game that "failed" than SWTOR.

Like all (and I mean all) of my friends, I will be switching to said game. This weekend was the last straw with our hodge-podge of Imps queueing up against the 8 pubs that pvp on our server (therefore it's basically a pre-made because they are all very competent players). The server populations cannot currently support a healthy pvp community. Server xfers or even mergers should have already happened. I know from talking to several regular pvpers on my server that they will be hanging up the reins once their free 30 days is up, but I couldn't even make it that far. No you can't 'haz my stuffz' - I may come back if there are a lot of changes in the right direction made.

Not planning to resub swtor after the 30 free day extension. I feel I've given it more than a shot, but I just can't handle pvp on my low pop server anymore. Pubs are essentially an 8-man premade each time we draw them in the queue because I think there are literally 8 good (read FOTM classes) pub pvpers who queue up, while the 40 Imps that queue may sport one decent team if they're lucky with all the fresh 50s and bads that get thrown in the mix. So...hello GW2 - hope there are enough players in that game to support a healthy pvp community.

Whoever he hit with crits that big was wearing little to no expertise. Don't pvp in pve gear kids.

Alright - next time I would like to see an infestation of wamp rats. Maybe they were bitten by rhakgouls and turned into RAT-ghouls...har har. Players will be running around with wamp rats hanging off or maybe a big pack following them, incumbering their movement speed exponentially. Yeah, that's about the only thing I can think of that would be more annoying than vomiting every 2 minutes or randomly exploding.

I think this thread is more about the people that rage at their team and less about coming in here flaunting your pvp e-peen. Honestly what good does it do to sit there and berate others for making a mistake? It happens. It is what it is. The less geared or less coordinated team will lose - end of story. Offer constructive criticism or an alternate plan, move on, or just s-t-f-u and take your loss like a man.
