Oh, okay. Then you wouldn't consider me or many on my friendslist a meaningful playerbase either. I'm a roleplayer and an altaholic. I level characters and I roleplay with others. That's pretty much it. I rarely PvP or do FPs and I can count the Ops I've done on one hand. I'm a sub granted so I suppose my 15 a month is somewhat meaningful to you, but we have a lot of f2p'ers in my guild and I definately consider them more meaningful than a bunch of people hiding in a dungeon somewhere. Those people are not even bodies in the world...

It doesn't work, mate. I hear what you're saying, definitely. I'd love to hear more on what lies ahead and what they have planned. But it won't work. There are people who can't accept that things change. Makeb is the most recent example. It was a huge free content patch, planned to hit late 2012 I reckon, since it was featured in the "coming soon to SWTOR" trailer. A lot of people left the game however and they had to adapt and switch to a different business model and with the new business model Makeb would no longer be free. They gave out info they couldn't deliver on and look what happened. My guess is they won't try that again for quite a while. There'll be less info, not more. That's what I'm betting on atleast.

I think some stuff should remain faction specific and in some rare cases even class specific. I know few agree with me and it's not like I'm against customization, but the throne is silly. I even think the flight suits should remain Rep/Imp. Unfortunately I think seeing the same stuff on both sides will only become more common in the future.

Oh that - I'm not bothered by that in the slightest. They had a completely different business model back then. Had people stayed on for a while and let the game evolve we would've had Makeb for free. Why would the new book be 5 pages?... "That's it?" Weren't you just lecturing a bloke on how he wasn't a BioWare employee and all that? You think it looks good if you pull crap from your rear now and treat it like fact?

If it's new content from someone whose work you've previously enjoyed, why wouldn't you pre-order? We know the basic plot. We know of some key features. I can't see what point you're trying to go after with this. If my favourite author releases a new book, I pre-order it instantly. I don't have to know everything about the piece beforehand. In fact, I wanna know as little as possible.

Yeah, this is how I understand it aswell. It's valued at 20 dollars if you're not paying monthly. If you are, it's valued at 10. A lot less than a SWG or a WoW expansion, where you had the price + a sub.

Yeah, I think I can explain it to you. If the plans they've let this community into has to be changed even the slightest, we have a bunch of boys here that'll immediately go all "OMG, we were promised... Lies! Oh the lies!". And it's because of this bunch we can't have nice things. Thank them.

Pff, sure bet away. Personally I think it's great to see the servers full of people with several instances on the starter worlds again. Couldn't care less if the people are playing for free or subscribing. On my server atleast, the overall mood in the chat channels have been welcoming and fun. But then there are those who come here to whine and complain that they aren't getting enough for free...

And the fanboy brigade would once again wanna remind the cheap arse brigade that you are not paying anything for the game right now. If you've spent 100s on subs and boxes up 'til now, you've also been able to freely access the game up 'til now. If you've only spent 5 on the Cartel Market, you have not been able to play TOR up 'til now. From here on you are on the same page. One spent money on the game before, but also got to play the game before. One only spent 5 dollars on the game, but has not had access to the game before.

No, you can also buy them off the GTN. Not only can you get the items by only spending in-game credits, it also keeps the items somewhat rare, which is nice IMO, compared to if they were all just put up on the Cartel Market for everyone to purchase directly.

I very much prefer the Republic, personally. Never been able to get far with any class on the Empire side. It just doesn't feel quite right to me. Maybe in the future, but since launch I've been playing on the Republic side, different characters, 99% of the time.
