  1. Yeah, I get that. What I don't get is the sad smiley A majority of those voters on mmorpg.com have lost hope in an expansion. That has absolutely zero impact on whether there actually is an expansion coming or not.
  2. That doesn't mean squat however,.. Personally I think so, and hope so. Doesn't mean squat either.
  3. With both Forex and HK-51 in Havoc Squad I foresee nothing but a crumbled Empire.
  4. Good read, and since the storytelling in TOR is the number one feature for me, I'm very much looking forward to the Q&A.
  5. Yes, because the doomsaying is so concealed on these boards Your opinion, fair enough!
  6. I can definately see the purpose of a thread like this. Threads and posts stating that TOR is the biggest MMO flop ever, while not long lived, aren't exactly the best way to get new people interested in the game. Threads like these can atleast offer a balanced and documented counter to hyperbole like that, for those interested.
  7. You don't think bringing that number down has been a priority then, with all the lay-offs and reconstructions they've made? I don't think any of the games mentioned, including SWTOR, need 500.000 subs anymore.
  8. What do you mean by expansions? Content patches? No, don't wanna pay for those. Boxed expansions a la JTL, TBC, WotLK? Yes, of course
  9. How does the monthly load of cartel coins included in the sub fit into your argument there? You don't think you'll be able to use those in the cartel shop? You can get whatever you want without spending more than your sub. Sure, it might take a while, but being patient and earn something over time doesn't seem to be a problem for you.
  10. Glad you had fun, OP. I too enjoy that one a lot. A lot more than an amazing experience?
  11. Shouldn't you be saying "higher standards than us?" Using "high standards" as some sort of point is just ridiculous. What the hell does it even mean? Has it only to do with mass appeal? Can you have both high and low standards when it comes to gaming at the same time?
  12. Yeah, hats off for your work here. You have a good game going and I hope you just keep at it. I'm not exposed to even a fraction of the critique and, some times, over-the-top whining that you are during my own work day, and I still find it hard to tackle it sometimes.
  13. Never said you were and that was not my intention. I was just commenting generally on the "interesting", new, info.
  14. Atleast the "fail Mythic team" theory has been officially debunked then.
  15. Ooookay... I think you should read it again.
  16. So it's not the analyst firm that actually made the prediction that should hire new analysts then? You have a link to EA making claims like that?
  17. Oh, I'm not too optimistic myself actually. I was just stating a fact - 2012 is not over. I'm just saying I don't get what is so special about that quote. People left. We know they left. Why is it such a surprise Bioware couldn't deliver their plans as they hoped?
  18. What do you expect? Seriously? They had plans they intended to follow through. People dropped their subs however. Probably more people dropped the game than what was expected. And an extremely unwelcoming and hateful forum community probably didn't help one bit. How can anyone expect them to deliver what was originally planned? Things change. They weren't allowed to do anything about it. People decided they did not want to give this game a chance to evolve. They probably, to a big extent, got what they wanted.
  19. So they fell behind schedule a bit. A lot of people didn't wanna wait around and see what the future would bring, which of course forced Bioware to change their plans somewhat. I really don't see what is so sensational with this quote. It's the latest forum fad to spread this around, but seriously... And, hell - 2012 is far from over yet.
  20. I hope you aren't too offended by this Sarfux, but you are one of the most peculiar posters on these boards. Your opinions on TOR are all over the place. You seem to go from satisfaction to disappointment and back to satisfaction on a weekly basis. I'm not having a go and I often enjoy your posts. You are quite puzzling to me however... More on topic: what you want sounds like SWG. If that game didn't do anything for you as you say, then maybe what you mention in your op is not really what you want afterall?
  21. And just as a complete opposite to this, I would recommend the Trooper story. Just like all class story arcs I've played, the Trooper has some weaker parts, but there is a lot of good, military-ish, save-the-world storytelling to be had with that class. One part in particular had a very OT feel to it: The Trooper also has, in my opinion, one of the best starter world experiences.
  22. Awesome feature! Please do keep these running. I've missed lore updates a lot. Personally I haven't played the Imperial side yet (saving it for later!) so I can't share any Kaliyo moments, but for the next blog I'd really like to see Tanno Vik featured. One of my absolute favourites.
  23. There really doesn't have to be any critical questions, mate. It really is such a minor thing. Either you pay your (for most, probably) modest subscription and get access to the full game or you don't pay a subscription and get access to a very limited amount of game features. The cash their content- and item shop will generate will probably surpass what the subs generate.
