  1. I'm curious... Is there any sort of Jedi-ish robe in blue in the shop? Blue Jedi robes are lacking in the game, so I'm hoping that the shop will have some...
  2. While I don't want something that will level my character to 50 instantly, or even in a couple days, I definitely would like to see some significant increases to EXP bonuses through the legacy perks (or even through something else). Right now, the roughly 30% EXP boost isn't worth it, and when I was leveling up my Sentinel it felt like I wasn't really leveling up all that much faster compared to when I leveled up my first character without any EXP bonuses at all. I'm not asking for some huge increase where I get ten times the amount of experience I would normally get... But at least doubling it would be nice. 100% instead of 30%, for example...
  3. Right now I'm giving the idea of expansions (as in expansion packs akin to Jump to Lightspeed, Rage of the Wookiees, and other expansion packs, be they physical or digital purchases) a big "maybe". Makeb has been the only hinted at expansion, but at this point in time I'm not holding my breath on it. Just as I'm not holding my breath on the "space upgrade". Right now I don't know if any expansion will come or not. It doesn't seem too likely right now, seeing as how things have gone downhill so quickly, but I could be wrong-- it wouldn't be the first time and wouldn't be the last. In short, right now I'm hoping for expansions and the space update, but I'm not counting on them.
  4. That would be awesome... As long as it was a mod and not a piece of armor, so we could wear what we wanted with it.
  5. I've bought a few of the class experience point boosts and exploration experience point boosts for my alts (not that it helps all that much), and the speeder piloting at level 10 perk... I've also bought two of the animation perks (the ones that you can also unlock through social rank). The rest don't seem all that useful or interesting to me... Honestly, if you ask me, the legacy system is a bit of a let down.
  6. From the sound of it, the only way to find a saber with this design is through PvP or flashpoints? After doing a little research, it looks like there are some others that might share the appearance, but I'm not sure... -Battlemaster Vindicator's Lightsaber -Battlemater's Striker -Champion Vindicator's Lightsaber -Centurion Force-Master's Lightsaber -Recruit Vindicator's Lightsaber I think, anyway... Are the Battlemaster, Champion, Centurion and Recruit are all PvP rewards? I don't think I've ever seen them...
  7. Greetings, This may be a bit of a silly question, but I was wondering if there was another weapon (main hand) that used the same appearance as the Venerable Ardent Blade's Lightsaber, which is an offhand weapon from the commendations vendor on Belsavis. It is silver with gold trim and a big blue crystal on the end. I'm a sucker for making things match, especially if they're blue, and when I saw this saber I fell in love with it. But it's only an offhand weapon and can't be equipped in the main hand. As a Jedi Sentinel I would like to have a matching set. Is there another moddable lightsaber available that uses the same appearance as the Venerable Ardent Blade's Lightsaber so I can have a matching pair? And if so, where does one find it? Thank you! 8. I've thought of this myself. It's not a big issue, but it would be nice to be able to zoom out completely in the character selection screen. Still, I don't spend much time on the screen so it's not a big deal to me, but it would be nice nonetheless.
  9. I would love to see the Longspur STAP have its stats matched up with the friend referral speeder. That would be great, and it only makes sense. I don't see why not, and I don't see what the issue would be for doing something like this. Having this turned into a rank one 110% speeder would be wonderful...
  10. This has been no confirmation that any sort of dye kit will be in the cash shop. That's just speculation. At least I haven't seen anything about it. But yeah, I'd love to be able to change the color of my gear. The color matching system is nice and all, but it leaves something to be desired. Sometimes clothing items don't match very well even with the matching system, or the hues may be lighter or darker than the chestpiece... or the piece may not have any color matching options at all, like the recent event Sand People belt, or the front of the robe for the same outfit. Being able to change the colors myself, and select which areas of the piece I want to recolor, would be great.
  11. Honestly, I'm not sure why this option wasn't available when we got the color matching system. This seems like a no-brainer to me, so I'm in full support of this. Been wanting this myself.
  12. Now that legacy names are no longer unique, I'm hoping that this might be a step towards being able to give all of our characters a different surname (while still keeping them all in the same legacy). That would be awesome... But I suppose I shouldn't get my hopes up.
  13. Endor, Kashyyyk or even Naboo could be interesting-- a foresty planet. Perhaps Naboo could even have an underwater city or two. I also wouldn't mind seeing Ryloth in the game. That could be interesting.
  14. This sounds like a decent idea to me. I don't see why not! But I don't really think there needs to be a whole separate tab for this. Just allow people from the opposite faction to be added to the friend list, and perhaps add another column in the list that shows whether that character is Republic or Sith/Imperial. Though I must admit, I wasn't aware that this wasn't already possible. I have yet to try it myself...
  15. I think most of the dedicated community feels this way. We play because it's Star Wars, not because it is or isn't an excellent MMO. It's sad that Bioware/EA is trying to appease the hardcore gamers rather than the hardcore Star Wars fans-- the latter of which who will most likely the be the ones who keep this game alive. It's a little bit of an insult to the Star Wars fanbase that Bioware/EA just ignores us like this.
  16. As always, awesome job on the second episode!
  17. I agree that this isn't something that someone should be fired for, but it is something that should have been really thought through. This is a Star Wars MMO, and the Celebration is a Star Wars convention... SWTOR should have been there, no question about it. They didn't even have to do anything big, just make an appearance, have a panel, give out an exclusive in-game item to attendees... just try to show the Star Wars community that Bioware/EA really does care about the "Star Wars" in their game, and that they do care about the Star Wars fan community. But this course of action, pulling out of the Celebration, just makes it feel like Bioware/EA doesn't really care at all about the Star Wars fans, who are most likely the people who will keep this game going. Gamescom will have some Star Wars fans, sure, but it'll mostly be just hardcore gamers. For the most part, I'd wager that most of this "hardcore gamers" have either played SWTOR and left, or have heard the stories about this game and will steer clear of it. On the other hand, Star Wars fans will be more likely to play and stick with this game just because it is Star Wars. And where will you find the hardcore Star Wars fans? Star Wars Celebration VI. And besides, they could have gone to Gamescom next yet. It's very likely that by the time the next Celebration comes around SWTOR wont even be in service anymore. It feels like Bioware/EA has lost all of their enthusiasm about this game. I can understand that, partially, but before this game launched Bioware kept claiming how awesome this game was going to be, and what a perfect Star Wars experience it would be. But after subscriptions started to fall Bioware began to act like they no longer care much about SWTOR, or Star Wars as a whole, and don't act that interested in the game anymore. Like I said, I understand some of it, but when you lose that interest in your own game, when a game company acts like they no longer care about the game they made, the community will also begin to lose interest, because if you don't care about the game you made, why will its players? The players, the community, can "feel" that negativity and that lack of inspiration. One of the ways that Bioware/EA could have shown that they do still care about the game, and about Star Wars, would have been to have made an appearance at the Celebration. No, it wouldn't have fixed all of the problems, but it would have helped. Even just to say "we still care about our game and want to bring that excellent Star Wars experience to the Star Wars fans out there" would have done wonders. But instead, Bioware/EA just shrugged it off and put priority into a gaming convention, which probably wont gain them as much interest as CVI would have. This decision seems very short-sighted to me, and seems like it was made without much thought or consideration. It also seems like it's a little bit of an insult to the Star Wars fan community, like Bioware/EA couldn't even be bothered to show up and make even a small presentation at a Star Wars convention. It feels like Bioware/EA doesn't even want to try anymore. If Bioware/EA were smart they would at least put some fliers into the goody bags that everyone gets when they check in at the Celebration. The fliers could advertise the game, have a code for an exclusive in-game item, and a free trial code for those who haven't played the game yet. This would have been better than nothing, and at least SWTOR would have been at the Celebration in spirit, and could have at least shown a little bit of support.
  18. Ouch. I guess that's what I get for buying the CE the day it launched. >>;;
  19. I must admit that not going to the Celebration seems like a huge mistake. The Celebration is a Star Wars convention, SWTOR is a Star Wars MMO, having an appearance there seems like a no-brainer to me. Why a Star Wars game staff wouldn't do their best to make an appearance at the world's largest Star Wars convention is beyond me. Especially seeing as Gamescom happens every year, while the Celebration occurs only ever three or four years at least. Chances are SWTOR wont even be in service anymore by the time the next Celebration comes around. It seems like Bioware would want to try to appeal to the Star Wars fans, as they will probably be the ones who will be the most loyal to this game over hardcore MMO players who probably wouldn't be quite as loyal. But, well... It's quite the missed opportunity. I often have to wonder what's going on in Bioware/EA's head...
  20. So you guys couldn't spare anyone for the Star Wars Celebration, but you could for Gamescom? The "staff" is putting priority into Gamescom (something that happens every year at that) rather than Star Wars Celebration VI (that only happens every three or four years)? CVI is the largest Star Wars convention in the world, and it seems like there would be no better place to have a SWTOR showing than there. This is a Star Wars MMO, and CVI is a Star Wars convention... That seems like a no-brainer to me. As loyal as I've been to this game, I do often have to wonder what's going on in the heads of the "staff". If it were me, I would have put priority into CVI rather than Gamescom, as that's what would have made a better showing for this game. And besides, like I said, Gamescom happens every year, the Celebration happens only ever three or four years (at least). With the way MMOs tend to go nowadays, SWTOR probably wont even be operational anymore by the time the next Celebration comes around. I don't mean to insult, but I really don't think that this decision was a smart move at all.
  21. There will be a new event in August? This month? Ack. I sure hope it doesn't happen during the Star Wars Celebration, that would be a real pain in the butt. I wouldn't be able to participate in the event. If it does start during CVI, hopefully it will run for a few weeks after it as well...
  22. This is probably correct. Either that or a cash shop, if we get one.
  23. I have a feeling that only those with a paid subscription will be able to venture through the legacy. Or legacy unlocks will become part of a cash shop feature. Either way, I can't see legacy being "free". But I could be wrong.
  24. I don't know what all the hubbub is about, really. I mean, was anyone really surprised about the F2P announcement? I think most of us were expecting it to happen. While it is a bit sad that this game will have to go down the F2P route, I don't really see it as all that bad, either. It's not going to affect my game much, and I'll still stick around. This can only help the population. Honestly, I'm glad SWTOR went F2P rather than just shutting down completely. There are a few MMOs I wish would have went that way rather than shutting down... Star Wars Galaxies, Auto Assault, Tabula Rasa, Earth & Beyond, to name a few... One thing is for sure: it'll be interesting to see what the future holds for SWTOR, and what exactly will be going on with F2P.
