  1. I picked up the battle pack last weekend... I was surprised to see it as Toys R Us already, maybe they put it out early? They also had the new rancor pit set and the Z-95. Didn't have the new A-wing yet, which was kind of disappointing. Heh.
  2. I haven't decided if I'm going to buy the so-called "expansion" or not. Definitely not right now, I just can't see coughing up $10 for something there's next to no information about. Sure, that's not a lot of money, but I don't pay for something that I don't know anything about... especially something that's not even coming out for quite a while. Once there's more information-- a lot more information-- I'll think more seriously about the expansion pack. Right now it doesn't sound all that interesting, but maybe once we know more. I probably will buy it if I'm still playing SWTOR (and still subscribed), but each day it seems less and less likely that I'll be sticking around that long...
  3. Sounds like a decent idea to me. Honestly, I'd like to see an invisible piece of equipment for every slot (except maybe pants, for obvious reasons). Invisible gloves, boots and wrists would be nice as well.
  4. I was disappointed that there wasn't a female Twi'lek companion for my male Twi'lek Smuggler as well, but that's how it goes. I had to settle for Risha for my character's romance, though at least Risha was a fairly interesting character. I definitely wouldn't mind some "generic" romance companions, though. Twi'leks and others.
  5. I have one, I bought the pack to get it because I had enough coins that I earned. If I wouldn't have had the coins I wouldn't have bothered to get the pack. But yeah, I'll jet around the game on it. Yeah, it looks silly, but so do all of the other Life Day items in the pack. I hate comparing this game to Star Wars Galaxies, but I really miss the awesome Life Day items that game had. I miss the awesome Life Day celebrations that game used to have. So yeah, I have it, I ride it, and I'm not embarrassed about it. After the season I may not use it as much, but for now I do. It's not because it looks all that cool, it's mainly just because I love Christmas, so it's about my only way to express it in-game. (In SWG I used to have one of my houses fully decked out in Life Day decorations year-round. It looked pretty neat. Yeah, I miss that, too. )
  6. Honestly, I was hoping for a Life Day robe customization for Bowdaar. I mean, Life Day is a Wookiee holiday, and the Life Day robes are traditionally worn by Wookiees... Bowdaar is a Wookiee... I figured that was a no-brainer. But alas...
  7. I have no problem with having a couple Life Day items on the Cartel Market, I could have lived with that... But having all of the items on the CM is just something that really gets me. It seems rather disrespectful to the players, if you ask me, to put all of the items on the market. A couple, fine, but not all of them. It is a bit insulting, there's no doubt about that.
  8. I'm still here, though at times I do have to ask myself why... Still, I remain. I was here the first day of the head start (and a little of the beta).
  9. This is very, very true, and something I have thought myself. Since the game launched the Bioware staff rarely acts excited about the game. Sure, it's had a lot of problems, but if the Bioware staff doesn't at least try to seem excited, how do they expect the players to be excited about anything? When a company acts like they no longer care about their product or are simply bored with it the customers (or in this case the players) pick up on that and begin to feel the same.
  10. Kind of neat, though would it be possible to just make these a permanent item with a timer rather than a stack of items, so they last forever? It doesn't seem like that "special" of a gift when we can run out of them. Not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth, but it's something that caught my attention... Though I must admit that this gift seems a little underwhelming for an anniversary...
  11. I hope they have Life Day items available outside of the pack, too-- sold separately from it. I'd like to have some Life Day items but I'd rather buy an item I want, not get a pack where I may or may not get something I actually want from it. Though I must admit that I'm rather curious as to what the speeder will look like... And yeah, I'm hoping for an event, too.
  12. People have been asking for armor dyes since before launch and Bioware still seems to be ignoring it (along with many other things that have been asked for since before launch). I would love to see this as well, and fully support the idea, but honestly I'm not going to hold my breath. I know that one of the developers mentioned something about armor dye in a fairly recent post but they've said a lot of things...
  13. I would definitely like to see something more unique in the Cartel, that's for sure, and preferably something attractive. Most of the armor I see is rather ugly and I can't see my characters wearing any of it. Yuck. What's a guy got to do to get some Jedi clothing with a robe and an armor chestplate that is all in shades of blue (or blue and white/silver would be even better)?
  14. Yes, it is frustrating, but that's also the point of the packs. It's the chance to get that special item, the "thrill" of the hunt, and if you don't get anything you like chances are many people will just think "I'll have better luck next time" and buy another pack, and another, and another. In a way you could think of it as a type of gambling... You're putting up your own money at a chance at scoring "big", but it's even more likely that you'll just lose it all. That's why the packs exist, and why Bioware/EA is making money off of them. I've bought a couple myself just for the heck of it. I, too, got nothing interesting and felt like I had wasted my coins, but that was chance I knew that I would be taking. From now on chances are if there's anything I want in a pack I'll just look on the GTN... Though I have yet to see anything from the cash shop or packs that I actually do want...
  15. Honestly, I'm not sure why this wasn't added to the preview window to begin with. This seems like a no-brainer to me. So yeah, I agree.
  16. I must admit that I've been looking for this hilt myself. I have the off-hand saber with this appearance for my Sentinel, and I've been trying to find a main hand to match.
  17. It's good to see that things are moving along. Though I am curious about what happened to Cathar. I thought that they were supposed to be in and playable when the game went free-to-play, though I can't say for certain and I could be remembering wrong. Will Cathar not be in with F2P?
  18. I would really love to see some Jedi outfits with a bit of armor, but have the armor and robe in blue. There are plenty of (medium) armor chestpieces that have white or gold armor with white, tan or brown robes, but I rarely see any blue. I would love to see some more. And if they have lights (which are always fun), could the lights be blue as well?
  19. This doesn't really surprise me-- Disney getting hold of LFL. While it's a little bit unnerving as a Star Wars fan, all-in-all I don't particularly mind it. Disney has worked with Star Wars things for years and has done an excellent job, and I think that they'll do just fine with it in the future, too. And I know that Lucas has said that he trusts Disney, and that if anyone was to take over he wanted it to be them (I can't remember the words exactly)... so I don't really see this as any big problem. Besides, that just means that we'll be getting more Star Wars things. Lucas doesn't seem to really have any any plans past the last season or two of Clone Wars and that really crappy looking Detours series (besides the various rumors have a live action series that may or may not be happening). With Disney taking the wheel we'll no doubt see more Star Wars coming. Honestly, I'm glad that Disney got it and not some other company.
  20. I'm glad to finally see the preview window being updated. It's about time! But yeah, why doesn't color match work in the preview window? Enabling that seems like a no-brainer...
  21. Yes, SWG had red Life Day robes. However, I believe only Wookiees could equip them, if I remember right. SWG had some pretty amazing Life Day events and items. I can only hope that SWTOR will have something even half-way as impressive.
  22. If this is true and we do get a Life Day event I will be very pleased. I used to look forward to Life Day every year in Star Wars Galaxies, and boy have I missed it. Now I can at least look forward to it in SWTOR. Hopefully it will be something special. Now I'm hoping for a Bowdaar customization... A red Life Day robe!
  23. From a business standpoint I can see why the armor isn't Bound to Legacy... But even so, I agree that the armor should be legacy-bound. That seems like a very fair solution for the player community.
