The Ranked PvP for being in the absolute top tier and the NiM titles are the only ones that have any modicum of real respect to them, and that's provided you got the NiM titles at-level, not during 3.0. Titles like Dragonslayer, from Beyond, of the Ruined world, Revanchist, etc. are probably the most respected (provided you worked to get it and weren't carried). And that's mainly because the player is respected, not the title.
  3. Hey Eric! First, glad to see these changes are being made. However, I'd like to make some suggestions: 1. Damage from Bosses was not an issue in Story/Solo mode. The issue was purely the amount of time it took to down them, which was rather long. They don't do anywhere near significant DPS in story/solo mode to make it challenging. 2. The issue wasn't number of "trash" NPCs, it was merely their health. Density of NPCs was nice and made it feel like a military lockdown. Again, the issue was merely time to kill. Other than that, the changes seem good.
  4. Shadow's/Assassin's Shelter isn't a raid buff. It's a tiny 5% damage reduction within a 5-meter range and 2800 points of healing. It's basically useless. It was useful back in 3.X when it had a 30 m range, did like a 5% healing buff and like a 5% DR buff, but it's useless now.

Here's some more: - Bastila Shan's chestpiece is default gray instead of orange in the outfit designer. - Shadows cannot use shadow stride on the Pylons phase of Terror in Terror from Beyond (resulting in a DPS loss for Infiltration/Deception) - Instances in Strongholds and Player ships get confused resulting in naked companions and random explosions. - The entire Manaan stronghold. Almost all of the hooks are annoyingly asymmetrical. Some have also disappeared... - Storyline cutscenes are missing from flashpoints. And more, I reported a bunch over the weekend. I can't remember them all.
  6. Agreed, Infiltration is absolutely terrible in PvP now, I don't even want to go into PvP anymore on my shadow. I'd rather take my Jugg or Sent, two classes I barely know how to play, than my shadow which I've played for years into PvP now. The chain stuns and gimp damage destroy the class and any role it used to have in PvP. Can't stealth cap nodes worth a crap, can't defend nodes worth a crap, can't burst down healers, etc. etc.
  7. Emperor's Mantle and Proficient Hitman are also bugged (adding to the list looking through other bug reports).
  8. Please remember to add Bastila Shan's to this fix, because it has a similar issue (color of the armor has changed from orange to grey for some reason in the outfit designer).
  9. Infil/Deception won't be extinct, but that's because they already forced everyone who was playing it to abandon in 4.0 and there's only like 6 of us super-hard-headed shadows/sins left. ~ Eudoxia
  10. Which reminds me I ought to switch my Clarion to Hydrospanner. But yeah something needs to be done about EMP missile field, because getting hit by five of them in a meta domination match is really not great.
  11. Here's my thoughts: 1. I think the AOE field on EMP Missile and EMP field is needed, and I think its effects are needed. Prior to the update they were rather useless except on one-trick pony builds. The problem is frequency of use. It needs a longer cooldown, IMO, which will also make it easier to dodge with engine abilities. It may also be possible to change the number of ships it effects, but keep the AOE. 2. Remote Slicing: I really see no problem with this. The only ship that can use it is the Clarion/Imperium, which isn't meta except in Domination. I don't see it being used at all, except by Traesha. It's really not that effective because if you use it then combining it with the missile option where its range is actually effective (EMP Missile) isn't exactly advangageous. Thermite and Proton you're using usually at a 10km range making remote slicing ineffective except in a joust or a pursuit where you have a major acceleration advantage. That requires skill to time and hold a proton lock, use remote slicing, and then release.
  12. Hey Eric, Keith, Two years ago Shadow/Phantom Stride was added to the Game. For Deception/Infilitration, it was made part of the rotation. This has posed a problem in several circumstances over the years in a number of fights. Namely, Terror on Terror From Beyond. In the second phase, up on the pylons, no targetable object allows us to use phantom stride/shadow stride. The ability is grayed out, and we can't click it to use it which triggers our procc'd force breach which is our primary DPS ability. As a result, we take a serious DPS hit on that fight, which isn't an issue in SM or HM but definitely poses a problem for the class in NiM. This bug has been in the game since the launch of 4.0. It also occurs on Red Reaper's first boss, but I think that's unrelated. I've been reporting it here on the forums (and I submitted a ticket about it a long time ago, back in 4.0, which I can't find admittedly) on and off for 2 years and it's never had an acknowledgement. I'd like to know if you guys will ever fix this. Thanks.
  13. Yeah it's from that Freemaker adventures, and yes it basically is a TIE Phantom. I've been tempted to buy it. JEK-14's (or whatever his name was) from the Clone Wars LEGO series had an E-Wing set too. As for the TIE Defender, I have the LEGO one. It is the best fighter there is, EU-canonically it was the best fighter in the Galaxy until the Yuzhaan Vong War and the Chiss Clawcraft surpassed it. Even in the Legacy era it was still considered a serious threat. It was the counterpart to the Advanced X-Wing in Galaxies' Jump to Lightspeed, one of the best fighters in that game too.
  14. All non-internet media in the US is owned by 6 conglomerates, Disney is one of them (and internet is now going down the same route). Had it not been Disney, it would have been someone else, and it would be no different. This is a trend not specific to Star Wars, but movies are no longer based on a story someone wrote. Movies are now the result of a market research team, who present a set of data points to a story group (like the Lucasfilm Story group), who with a director write a storyline designed to appeal to as much of the audience as possible.

This royally screws shadows even further for a variety of reasons. Although a decent survivability buff for hatred to a certain degree, both classes lose a vital 30% DR that's critical to the way they're played. Having 30% DR while stunned kept this class viable in Ranked PvP and in PvP in general, because the easiest way to win a ranked match with a DPS shadow in it is to kill the shadow first due to how squishy the class is - picking the stun DR prevented that from happening. We also now can't take our other utilities in general PvP, like the force wave root, or the 25% AOE damage increase on whirling blow (and whatever the imp one is called). It also affects deception on NiM Styrak now. We now have to pick between AOE Damage reduction (a mandatory utility due to the change) and the root utility on that fight. Which makes the class even less viable on top of the fact its DPS has been badly over-nerfed to the point where it's no longer viable anyways. Deception can't pick both of these or otherwise it loses DPS from its other mandatory utility. This is why I again plead Bioware to not follow through with these changes. They are game-breaking for the Shadow DPS classes. Shadow needs to 1. Be fixed: Shadow stride can't be used on Terror from Beyond and a couple of other fights, which results in a DPS loss. The ability is grayed out when targeting the enemy. 2. Have the position requirement removed. It's technically still there even though we can attack in front of an enemy (it does way less damage). Get rid of it altogether. 3. Have its DPS buffed again. Shadow has no raid utility, period, other than a very, very, very bad heal utility which is almost always a poor choice in favor of other utilities. Either buff our DPS, or give us raid utility (make shadow's shelter do a lot of heals, or outright give us a raid buff, and fix the bug with stealth rez which is at best very limited due to the fact stealth is rotational in deception/infiltration). Even when Shadow was "overperforming" (which it wasn't) everyone would pick a Mara over a Sin due to the raid buff alone. And for the love of Kephess, do not follow through with this change to shadow/sin utilities, please. Keith says they pay attention to explanatory, well-reasoned posts, so I really hope they read mine and those of the other like... 10 experienced DPS shadows left, and take them seriously.

  20. I saw it mentioned somewhere that authors are currently disbarred from being allowed to write in the post-RotJ era. Probably because of preparations for Episode VIII, but possibly also because that's when the new animated series is. That being said, I would love to see a pre-Phantom Menace series too. You have a lot of potential to bring back old characters - not just Qui-gon and Obi-Wan from the prequels (I really want to see more of Qui-gon), but ones from the Clone Wars too. Admiral Trench and Wulf Yularen faced off against each other in that time, and you could see the earliest years of Tarkin too. They could bring back some EU stuff too for the plot - The Stark Hyperspace War, or the disappearance of the Katana Fleet. (I actually always had a "headcanon" theory about that, in which Sidious and the Trade Federation intentionally sabotaged the fleet with the hive virus because they knew if it was successful, which it would have been, it would have prevented their invasion of Naboo and their plans to begin the Clone Wars.)
