  1. As the title says. Shadows being able to stealth out of combat and ressurrect players separate from Healers is the class's only utility in PvE content. It's the entire reason you bring a shadow instead of a sentinel or gunslinger or another class with a raid buff. Without this ability, shadows are pointless in ops, and an empty shell of what they were prior to 7.0 in that they have little flavor or specialization left. This change NEEDS to be undone. It is a FUNDAMENTAL element of how the class plays.
  2. Infilitration shadow actually does good DPS in this patch, but that's not the problem. This is fundamentally the problem: Everything that made this class unique and fun to play is now gone, or you have to pick between it and higher DPS. I elaborated more in my reddit thread, but these changes NEED to be undone. No combat stealth-out? That eliminates the *primary* reason you choose a shadow over the other DPS classes. I have to choose between basic mobility that I need for certain fights (Underlurker, etc.) or reduced timer on interrupts, CC breaks, and cleanses (Draxus, etc.) and higher DPS or essential abilities. On top of the fact the new rotation is just spamming vaulting slash (reaping strike). And Shadow is by no means unique in this regard. Everything that made the class fun, specialized, and unique has been washed out and now all of the classes are just aesthetic skins with nothing inherently interesting about playing them. I hate to use the phrase, but this one is GENUINELY the equivalent of Galaxies' "New Game Experience." That is how bad it is. To Bioware: Do not just "patch" the new system. That is not acceptable. Shadow needs to be reverted back to how they worked in 6.0. This is the final nail in the coffin for me. New GSF content comes once every 5 years, new story content is sparse and dry, my friends are all gone, and with Shadow no longer being fun and interesting to play, there's nothing left to keep me subbed and playing.
  3. So for those that don't know, I've always been a Starship afficionado. And today I want to talk about what's wrong with SWTOR from an art standpoint (and by extension how it affects lore). This problem has been around for a while, but it is best exemplified by the Spirit of Vengeance II, and the cargo ship from the Echoes of Vengeance flashpoint. SoV2: https://i.imgur.com/nOMlW9D.jpg Cargo Ship: https://i.imgur.com/7TptgXM.jpg So you might be asking, "okay, what's the problem?" And the problem is this: this game has lost all sense of the design direction it had in its initial release. And that's best exemplified by the Spirit of Vengeance II. Compare Shae Viszla's new "Dreadnought" (which is, by the way, only a frigate-sized ship at around 300ish meters compared to the ships around it) to the artwork from the Journal of Master Gnost-Dural, which shows a very specific design aesthetic: https://i.imgur.com/hdkfsQ5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/foH4ymz.jpg But instead of this, we got what looks like a knock-off Corellian ship. In fact, it looks heavily like the "Corellian Frigate" from the old Empire at War: Warlords mod (screenshot is from AOTR). https://i.imgur.com/EynETeg.png And this is the issue. The game seems to have completely lost its design direction. This is why so many of the game's objects look generic and boring - either because it's trying too hard to look like the Original Trilogy (like the Spirit of Vengeance II, because apparently in the New Canon the only three starship manufacturers are Corellia, Kuat, and Dac) or it's so generic it has no appeal at all, and could just as easily be a "default human ship" from a 4X RTS game like Sins of a Solar Empire or Stellaris. It doesn't just apply to ships - look at the speeders, armor, or the weapons too. Sure some of those departments don't suffer nearly as badly, but the game either re-uses the same assets for everything (*cough* the "Koth shuttle" *cough*) or it adds new things which are so divergent from the original design direction they look completely out of place. And as a result, the lore is affected as well (remember SWTOR is the only ongoing part of the Expanded Universe left), and it waters down the setting. And really, just "Spirit of Vengeance II?" Why not give it a unique name more relevant to Shae and her backstory?
  4. Damn some names I haven't seen in a WHILE in this thread. O_o
  5. Can confirm, this is still bugged: https://i.imgur.com/ekkOUzY.jpg
  6. Yeah this is a ridiculous change. It makes zero sense. If you're just going to scale down all the content, why even raise the level cap to begin with? Why even have stats or gearing at all for that matter if it's all going to be determined by a bolster? They should have just left all the gear the same, and focused that effort on adding new content like a PvP map or something instead.
  7. He also isn't being granted as a companion if you let him join you.
  8. Can confirm, it doesn't recognize as a dualsaber and it's completely missing its model/texture. Can't draw the weapon, only equip it. https://i.imgur.com/pd3EGbh.png
  9. Satele Shan's Dualsaber is not being recognized as a Double-Bladed Lightsaber nor does the texture/model itself work. See: https://i.imgur.com/pd3EGbh.png
  10. I am but a simple man following the will of glorious dear leader Kim Jong Hepatia in supporting her request for a Master and Blaster Title. And the title should most definitely be "Dunderhead."
  11. Thanks for info Daniel. When will we get more information on the summer event you all mentioned at the Cantina? Hoping for a chance to get Master Ranos again.
  12. Welcome comrade Dan! It's will be nice to have some new community outreach. Also looking forward to the short stories (thanks Charles).
  13. This is a terrible idea, this needs to be removed as soon as possible, as it only makes the disparity between classes worse due to the inability to optimize stats which is necessary to allow bottom-of-the-barrel classes to scrape by. If 6.0 is again raising DPS checks/level cap/etc. and there is no option to min/max stats, then it will only hurt the remaining raiding community and could even make several classes/disciplines non-viable due to a lack of stat optimization on top of already poor balancing.
  14. Enhancements and mods for 252/258 are currently bound to the armor pieces they come in. Why has this not yet been fixed? I've heard rumors that this is intentional, and if that is true then that sets a very bad precedent for things to come because without Min/Maxing it's going to only make the issues with class balancing worse, on top of the fact it's going to accelerate the number of people in the PvE community who are leaving the game.
  15. New canon can do whatever it wants. But this is SWTOR and we know how the Jedi originate in this timeline, which is on Tython, in the Dawn of the Jedi Series (which was sadly never finished).
  16. Hey Eric, Keirth, et. al. The Ossus Explorer's Armor Set is bugged. The pieces are mixed up in the preview and I'm pretty sure they're also mixed up when you actually put it on. Their icons are also all wrong. https://i.imgur.com/QzhCnmq.png Also while I'm at it, Bastila's armor set is still bugged after being promised it would be fixed 2 and a half years ago (and the butt, front, and hip flaps have a tendency to clip a lot now): https://i.imgur.com/7VR7tvd.png Thanks.
  17. Patch 5.10 coming out tomorrow, and this still has not been addressed after more than 2 years. The color of the armor set still defaults to gray in the costume outfitter. The set now has multiple issues with clipping with the waist flaps.
  18. This has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Sorry everyone.
  19. Just a reminder that this is tonight everyone.
  20. Yeah I saw that. I tried asking once too but got no response. I might just email Eric and straight up ask "hey did you have literally any DPS shadow or operative actually playtest this, because it's terrible." TBH I don't think they have anyone who's a DPS shadow on the closed PTS these days.
  21. So yeah any word from the Bioware team on this? Can we get some sort of acknowledgement this is being looked at? Because it actually affects Operatives more than us.
  22. Jaek's guide is still completely relevant only real difference is they royally screwed up shadow stride.
  23. That's probably the biggest benefit, we can train people how to play now. I agree.
  24. Lol dude Carnage Mara's just know how we feel. This crap happens to us literally every other month. Sins have been getting the short end of the stick since 1.0. The only time we were ever balanced correctly was in 2.7 just before SOR dropped.
