  1. The idea of "mix and match" is hilarious. The chest determines 95% of the look, you're not going to be mixing and matching anything if the chest is wrong. But anyway. It's like I told you before: if the look we wanted were in the game we'd know it. You're not going to point out any armor to us we don't already know of. These are the closest: Relnex -- needs long sleeves at minimum, bonus points for extending the tabard down like so Ajunta Pall -- needs those ornaments removed Kreia -- needs a tabard Atris -- the tabard needs to be more closely bound, and no pattern on it http://i.imgur.com/GqNwjzm.jpg Seeing as how we didn't have any long-sleeved robes or tunics in the game before last year and now we're getting an increasing amount, I think it's more that they couldn't do it until recently rather than any artistic integrity. It's clear by now that Humble Hero was that set.
  2. You should look again at your comics if you still have them. No main characters, sure, but you see them two or three times in the background. You also see them in artwork of the era. And since you say you haven't seen them not once all the way up to post-Ruusan, that brings KOTOR 2 into the discussion which is the most definitive example that these robes exist. The argument isn't that these robes were standard or even common. It's that they existed at all. Because people like OddballEasyEight can't just be content with letting us ask for what we want, they have to antagonize and make dumb arguments against it for some reason. Like the technology for long sleeves not existing until 987 BBY. His point was that jedi and sith in this era are in constant battles so wear armor, thus we can't have these robes. That point is absolutely destroyed by the existence of robes without armor. We proceed to piss on the grave of that argument to then look at the skimpy outfits that are available to wear which offer even less protection. To say the least. Can't believe you'd call this "perfect" sense, Ghisallo.
  3. I think you're conflating too heavily the jedi during the New Sith Wars with all pre-Ruusan jedi. The jedi in KOTOR and TOR are very much like they are under Yoda. Certainly more than they are with the Army of Light.
  4. There's one sith NPC listed in swtor_potato's datamine of last week's PTS build:
  5. Just robes with no armor already exist in the game, so that makes no sense. We're just asking for a different style of robes(that have existed since the Je'daii Order). Not to mention all the slave costumes and skimpy outfits. I can't imagine you spent more than five seconds thinking about this argument before making it.
  6. The only differences between the chests of Humble Hero and the RotJ outfit(2, 3) are those borne of the game being unable to recreate the texture/layering of real cloth. If that limitation was the only difference between Relnex and the robes that have existed since the Je'daii Order, it wouldn't be as big a deal. You're right that there are more differences between Talzin and Dathomir Shaman. By the way, I just looked up Force Magister's. Exactly what piece do you think should be mixed to get the traditional look? The hat, I suspect.
  7. Equipped gear can't be added to tabs. If it's in your inventory it's not equipped. Yeah, perhaps they meant not equipping will make it not equip.
  8. Except that these robes exist in this era. Also, they've already done Humble Hero which is Luke's RotJ outfit and Dathomir Shaman which is Mother Talzin's. Not that this matters because, again, these robes exist in this era. These robes have existed since the Je'daii Order.
  9. There is no contemplation, only duty. It's not actually a change to the Jedi Code by the Council or anything. It's just the personal motto of this one jedi unit. Here's the codex on them if you haven't seen it:
  10. It's relevant because it means you can reuse it for multiple outfits. Which is important if you only have one of that item. Any unbound gear will become bound.
  11. The inquisitor starts in that chest. It's the only one that has that inner pattern, but you can find similar ones here. Go down to NMSC01.
  12. I'm not intricately familiar with TOR's development, but wasn't BioWare Austin created by EA specifically to make TOR?
  13. You can't cascade canon like that. Also, would hardly say Revan was a "big" part of Bane's story.
  14. I was saying it shouldn't happen not that it doesn't happen. What's to explain? Did you miss my other explanation by the way? And no, an RPG doesn't need to canonize the PC to do a sequel. Look at TES most prominently. There's little to no canon for the PCs in that series. That's because TES respects that an RPG is about creating your own character and that they shouldn't invalidate that, and because TES as a world is big enough to not have to keep reusing heroes. They didn't later canonize Revan and the Exile because they wanted to make references to them. They did it because they wanted to reuse them. If all you want to do is reference then sticking to the broad strokes they all have in common is more than fine. Hell, look at KOTOR 2.
  15. I haven't played a game without the option to turn off chat, so I don't know why this even needs to be said over and over. TOR already has that option...what it doesn't have is the option to have the chat.
  16. I'd prefer it be because they know that to do so would be to go against the entire spirit of what RPGs are about. But either way it'd be a good thing.
  17. Yes really. They've said there's no canon for the class storylines, it's not up for debate. Hopefully it stays that way. Before I attempt to, it should first be said that even if one thing doesn't quite make sense that doesn't mean you(general you) get to start declaring what's canon.
  18. Why should Malgus be Emperor when he's not the most powerful sith?
  19. I imagine because it's your profile so it doesn't need to specify "aurbere".
  20. Bad link. Here it is. Off to read it.
  21. Some people consider the difficulty part of the story, to varying degrees. I'm one of them on the lesser end. It doesn't bother me in TOR though to have things be rollover easy.
  22. Yoda peaked in popularity long before his Dooku duel, I'd say.
  23. You should post this in the General Discussion forum. This forum is where we complain about Star Wars as a franchise.
  24. Most of them aren't defined as anything. You can't assume they're straight just because you can't romance them yourself. And DA2 is the most prominent example of herosexual there is.
