  1. I want a small cell of a room in the Jedi Temple.
  2. Is it you or your character that's not smart enough to avoid doing that?
  3. I'm not against same sex stuff, I couldn't care less. It's just overkill, you know? Too much.
  4. I agree with much of what you're saying Leaveshill(and if others read you a little more carefully they probably would too) except for your presumption that there's going to be a canon set later: This is not a fact. Not every game disrespects the choices a player made for their character like BioWare regularly does. TES is the best example of this. There's no actual necessity for any of our characters to be featured or referenced heavily enough in subsequent Star Wars material that we'd have to know their race and/or sex.
  5. If you look at the flow of the discussion, it should be pretty clear I was mocking the argument. Also, meditation isn't only for jedi and sith. My trooper and maybe my BH would also want to meditate. Having the glow wouldn't work for that. Even for my force users I wouldn't want the glow. It's cheesy, and you don't see it elsewhere. http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130921115522/starwars/images/a/ab/Yoda's_quarters.png http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111120194021/theclonewiki/images/5/52/DookuMeditating.jpg http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130716051517/starwars/images/e/e6/Qui-Gon-Serenity.png A floating meditation animation would be good though.
  6. JKs do that for their recovery animation. Would be unfair to those who rolled JK.
  7. "From the look of it" expresses the same uncertainty that "I think" would have.
  8. It seems like the best way to get the Makeb datacron is to farm security chests.
  9. The purple variant of: http://tor-decorating.com/ancient-library-archive/ http://i.imgur.com/Qsdipey.jpg Other colors would be nice too.
  10. There's no actual reason to be against putting these robes in the game, but they find you annoying. So instead they try to marginalize you and obfuscate with petty definition debates. You should ignore it as best you can. I agree that Atris "robes" would work for a male. That's what's nice about jedi wear: it's wearable by everyone. I'm very pleased we're getting Atris; now if only they could put an actual robe on it. Or if they took the shoulders off Ajunta's and put a robe on that. Hood down until toggle.
  11. My favorite hilt in JKA: http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080508050245/starwars/images/e/ed/JKA_saber3.png
  12. Well, I know that of course, but that's the out for Humble Hero not being traditional. He called into question what "traditional" means: So when Humble Hero comes out and it's not traditional, it can be said that "Well, traditional doesn't mean the same thing to everyone". He further hedged by not even saying the sets would be robes, rather "armor sets": So when Humble Hero doesn't have a robe, it can be said "Well, they never said robes, did they?". I actually like Humble Hero, though. I wear Jolee's on my inquisitor, black/red. I love it, hump and all.
  13. Direct purchase armors don't come along that often; nothing else would fit the timing. Except maybe Exterminator's, but even though that has a long-sleeved robe, armor is even less traditional. Plus he was hedging by questioning what "traditional" meant, even though we all know it's the Obi-Wan look. Would still need a set with the robe, though. After we get hood toggle we need a robe toggle.
  14. I'm pretty certain Humble Hero was the set as well, which is silly because it's not even a robe. Also frustrating because it is just Luke's outfit, but it was this thread where it was said they wouldn't "copy and paste" Obi-Wan's look. Why's Luke fine to do, then? But we're real close with Kreia's robe. I'd be satisfied if we had hood toggle or I played a twi'lek. At least I can be happy Ashara will be able to get the look.
  15. Could be missing it, but I'm not seeing any class specific decorations. There should be at least one for each class. Something significant or sentimental.
  16. I meant what you said was irrelevant. The Sims comparison irrelevant.
  17. No, and why would they? I'd have to point out to them that's not at all the point I was making. Would be quite pointless.
  18. Did anyone point out to you that The Sims allows its enthusiasts to use console commands and a plethora of mods and utilities to get things exactly as they want them?
  19. I didn't like this set, personally. Should we start worrying that we've come to the end of the "traditional" pipeline? It was said that there'd be two sets coming: one for direct purchase which I believe to be Humble Hero(they'll do Luke but not Obi-Wan?), and one from a pack. Is it this one?
  20. I don't know, it's pretty obvious to me they're two separate pieces. The hood is sitting on top of the "shawl". There's even space between them: http://i.imgur.com/f2C4C5Q.png
  21. Maybe...as I said, I don't think we differ that greatly. It's just been senselessly blown out of proportion. There's no reason for me to stop bringing up WoW if you keep saying things like "That's why they don't just dump design concepts on us" and that "unfinished systems" shouldn't be shown. You say them as if they were absolute rules to managing expectations, but WoW is the easiest example for showing that's not the case. It's not that they don't have any information; of course they do. It's that they don't have any information they want to show us. What's so hard for you to understand I'm questioning whether they can get away with showing more information and still manage expectations?
  22. Was it logic? Was it an argument? It was just an observation of reality. Unless you want to disagree that WoW doesn't get constant information(especially compared to TOR), we have nothing to discuss here. Me being right about this doesn't make you wrong, so calm down about it. What it does make you wrong about is the idea that people complaining is a reason to shut down the flow of information. The developers you keep referring to never say that. What they instead say it's a reason to be careful about what you say and manage expectations, which is what I've said. All I'm asking(and didn't even ask at first and you still disagreed with me) is if BioWare is properly striking the balance. You could be reasonable and say that you're happy with the rate of information; could even be magnanimous and say you understand how others might not be. Instead I get: "Welcome to real life. You can't handle my cold hard logic, whiner. DEAL WITH IT." People complaining sure is the center of your world. Do you know I haven't even once brought up Strongholds? I've only been talking about the idea that they can't show in-development content because people would complain if it changes. But for comparison, here's the kind of information updates Blizzard gives for their player housing, which is twice as far away as Strongholds. So why can WoW do this and TOR can't? You're saying now it's because they're bigger. Maybe that's true, I wouldn't know, and I'm not sure you do either. But that's not the reason we've been disagreeing about which, if what you say is true, would only be amplified because of their size.
  23. I want to see all that, plus the ability to change the outfits of the random NPCs and guards roaming around.
