Merc healers are obnoxiously tanky and perfectly suited for reg matches. If you’re having trouble surviving as a merc healer, that just means that you don’t know how to play it, not that the class is bad .

Basically this. All three healing classes work in group ranked if you’re good at them. Considering most teams run pressure, operative is actually in a very good spot right now.

I think my favorite part of this thread is how the OP is known for having tanks throw solo ranked matches for him on SF, but complains about other people's cheating. Yikes.

Yes. Rage is and has been a squishy, bad version of fury cause fury is an abomination which you can’t cc or kite or kill easily. That is how they are different

The 220 rating trick is done with relics, and it’s around equal or slightly worse than having BiS 248 relics. You actually get higher hits with 248s, because the procs are substantial, but you get more consistent damage with the 220 trick. Tl:dr it’s not the gear, you’re just bad

Actually, your post doesn’t provide any compelling evidence whatsoever for guard being overpowered. It’s mostly just you whining that people don’t take you seriously because you don’t pvp exclusively. The real reason you’re bad isn’t that you don’t pvp exclusively, though. It’s more along the lines of you having no idea what you’re talking about, imo. If guard wasn’t in the game, pretty much all pvp would just be tunneling the squishiest player. Picture a 4v4 dps solo ranked match everywhere you go, because who would tank if they can’t use guard to peel, and who would heal if you just get piled on by four dps and stunned into oblivion? Guard gives tanks a reason to exist in pvp, and it also provides counterplay and introduces strategy in getting kills. This whole “ZOMG REGS ARE OVERRUN WITH HEALERS AND TANKS” nonsense has more to do with match making than an actual balance issue: if a team has multiple tanks and healers of course you aren’t going to be killing anything with the terrible regstar dps who populate the average war zone and this forum. Now I know counterplay, complexity, and strategy are pure anathema to most of the terrible people who are posting in favor of this thread, and I’m sincerely sorry for making you all have to consider them.

A group ranked buddy of mine started recording his matches. Do you notice how tanks can be cc'ed? Guard is not an issue, matchmaking and terrible dps are the issue. Can this thread please die now.
