  1. Actually, i have 381 Crit Rating, 402 Surge Rating and 511 Power Rating. I have been moving away from Surge/Crit and stuffing more points into Power though. Also, i'm using the SWMonitor ingame parser, tried using ACT, but never could get it to work, tried MOX parser, didn't like it for some reason. Haven't tried any offline parsing since i was in Rakata (and Rakata was the best gear around) when i was doing 1,1 to 1,2k dps in a good fight (against a dummy)

My marksmanship sniper is in full blackhole setup (except belt is rakata, gloves/relic dreadguard, one relic from color crystals, every item has a purple +cunning augmentation) 2244 cunning Damage (primary) 1061 - 1158 Bonus Damage 623.2 99.70% accuracy (109.70% tech attacks) 41.87% crit change 78.48% crit multiplier My dps hovers around 1,4k in an average hm ops boss fight. No matter what i try, can't seem to get it higher, i see some people claiming 1,7k dps parses on dummy, but i just can't get it past where i am now for some reason.
  3. Shade like goggles, more "street wear" (not obviously an armor), more (and different looking) uniforms usable by companions, sleeker longcoats/trenchcoats (and some with hoods). camo type armor sniper could use.
  4. i got 4, i have 2 characters with HK who need a set, i will probably get atleast one more HK for my last 50 toon. Farming all those Enriched Durasteels is going to suck. Hopefully they will add more ways to gather them.

Only problem with the section X dailies is the one where you need the 3 target thingies, few mobs, random drops, and plenty of people killing them, you can easily en up spending 30 minutes to an hour in there if you're unlucky (or more, as happened to me). The increased difficulty is just fine as it gives more comms as a reward (might want to up the credit reward though).

  7. This. I have HK-51 on two characters, did the quest for both. Paying credits or CC is just another option to get it.

  9. Plenty of skill involved, if there wasn't, i wouldn't suck so bad.
  10. Consumable item that resets your character story, and transports to your class start point, allowing you to make different choices and redo your class story as often as you want without having to start a new character..
  11. Only issue i have, is that now i have to level a republic character.
  12. Got to kinda agree with this one. I like space missions, in theory, but after doing them over dozen times each, it gets old, and having to spend minute or two after finishing the mission waiting for the flight to end gets old. Also, i dislike the fact that i often spend more than half of the flight time waiting for my ship to get in range of something to shoot.
  13. I like space combat, but don't really do any these days, mainly because i only log in for raids (and have done every space mission dozens of times already), will do more of them when they give us new space missions, or when i start playing more (currently don't have enough free time).

I'm almost full Rakata (Blackhole bracers and implant, relic from shards), and i'm currently pulling about as much dps as i did when i was in full columni (except for implants/earpiece, which were rakata) ~1,1k dps on operations dummy, blue skill stim, all buffs except warrior one. i have 6 skill augs, one surge aug (i need loads of surge, have below 70 surge rating atm, and crit is 397). Now, part of this is that i need to get used to new rotations (snipe is dead to me now, except sometimes as an opener on short fights/bursts), but i suspect that part of it is in the mechanics/skill changes.

  16. As a sniper, i use Lokin, Temple or Kaliyo. Lokin is for though fights and grouping. Temple is for easy fights. Kaliyo is for enemies that use crowd control or when there's huge group of small fry that needs to be aoe'd used to use only Lokin, when my gear got better i started using Kaliyo (and had enough tokens from hardmodes to get her Tionese set to keep her alive), and when my gear got even better (mix of Columni and Rakata), i started using Temple (and got her geared with cast of gear, she's almost full columni now) to save time.
  17. my BH is powetech tank, so can't really comment on that. But, cover mitigation does not make up for lower armor, portable cover works only against ranged damage (which only other snipers and gunslingers use as their primary damage type), and static cover is directional (and often not available).
  18. Don't mistake my meaning when i talk about the issues snipers have, i don't hate the class. I love it, it's fun to play, story was made (with some minor exceptions) awesome, and we have some pretty awesome gear available (not class sets though, but there's some pretty nice orange medium sets). My main class, and one i intend to keep playing on wether or not the numerous complaints we have about them get adressed, i just refuse to stay silent on issues i think should be looked into.
  19. Against tanks, sniper dps kinda sucks (other classes can bypass some of their defenses, especially shields), otherwise our dps is fine. The problems with sniper come in with lack of utility, low mobility and lousy mitigation, as well as very penalizing resource system. And bugs. 1.2 seems to answer some of these issues though, wether enough or if more work needs to be done (almost certainly) remains to be seen. Outside the effectivenes and UP/OP comparisons though, i like my sniper, and will keep playing wether or not our issues are dealth with (i'll just avoid pvp).
  20. With alacricity, you can do more dps, and keep energy in check by using rifle shot in between. Main reason the sniper volley is a bad is because you can't keep it up, and need to use snipe to stack it even if you have something better from dps standpoint out of cd, the change stated will both free us from spamming snipe, as well as ease the energy cost issue.
  21. not as far as i can see. Now, as far as the damage type goes, i'm not sure if it would be smart to change it so would stop being deflected/shielded. Maybe make accuracy lower the change od being deflected (and maybe make ambush non deflectable, or talet it to make it so), and make make shield work on all types of damage (generally buffing tanks), so snipers would not be unfairly penaliced for attacking enemies with a shield. And in the same vein, make other forms of defensive cooldowns and powers (like portable cover) work against all types of attacks (with a cone of effectivenes with cover ofcourse).
  22. Well, all in all, as a MM/Eng hybrid sniper, i find the changes pretty nice. Ranged healing debuff = awesome More energy regen from talents = might be awesome (even if it's only 10 seconds every 30 seconds), depends on how much we get aoe mitigation from entrench = eh, nice, most of the damage we take is usually not aoe, but it's still nice, both in pve and pvp no longer being pushed out of cover due to cover integrity (what the **** is that) = awesome (i think?) can grouch while rooted? = Oh My *********** God (that i don't believe in) Hell YES Now that is awesome, and definetly long overdue. Now, i wish they had looked into the fact that so much of marksman damage is white, and therefore has to go through every form of defense known to man and jawa, but apart from that, the changes were mostly either positive, or not of interest to me. One change felt kinda odd to me, the engineer talent "Calculated Pursuit", was changed so it would buff make overload shot cost no energy. who uses overload shot?
