  1. Why not? Lucas is not a perfect being with no flaws, nor is Star Wars, as he envisioned it, a perfect gem that can never be improved upon, or without blemise. Human high Culture was always, in my opinion, a rather stupid idea, and that it only came about as an asspull to explain George Lucas being petty about some rules he was forced to follow, makes it all the more facepalm worthy.
  2. Yes, it's a bug, i said it was a bug in my post. Not everyone will get it, but that does not make it any less annoying to the people it does happen, especially as how hard it can be to find a group for it. Putting a heroic 4 man at the end a long chain of solo quests is bad design, and certain to annoy fairly large chunk of the people doing it.
  3. So, what you're telling me, is that the part about the empire, i always considered the most stupid, both from ingame, and out of game, came about because George Lucas is petty? Figures
  4. Can't say i'm too impressed with the Cathar skin myself. We can now, in addition to green humans, red humans, blue humans, blind humans, humans with weird head tentacles and humans with metal bits in their face, do hairy humans. Still, i'll unlock them at some point, got nothing else to do with my cartel coins i get from subbing. Now that i got my Xantha, Ball Toss, Imperial Banner and sniper rifle with holographic sights, don't really see anything worth getting in the market.
  5. No, i'm not joking, done it that way 3 times (would be 4, but healer died in fire, not even shackled).
  6. This, by the force THIS!!!!! Would totally love this, while i like Lokin, my sniper would appreciate the option of bringing other companions along when doing missions. Same for Mako on my powertech. Yes please. Eh, i guess this would be nice as well (would probably bring prices down a bit).
  7. I'm talking about the Stage 1 Heroic 2 mission on Makeb, that does not need tactics or puzzle solving. Unless you call "hey, press the buttons to the left and i do right" tactics, i don't.
  8. It's not a puzzle, it's 4 objects in 4 corners of a room i need to press under certain time period or die. That's it. No thinking, no tactics, no skill, just extra player to click a damn object. Heck, keep the object clicking, i don't mind. Just make the fights hard enough to require 2 people instead of 1.
  9. 3 and half hours. 1 and half hours to get a group together half an hour trying to get everyone into same phase of the quest (i had done the first quest, and part of second, earlier, and had to reset quest, which for some reason i could not do at first). Hour or so of questing. half an hour of sitting in front of a locked door hoping for GM reply because quest bugs and fails to update just before last boss. quest left undone. will try again today, i hope.
  10. Be warned, it may take a few tries, couple re-groupings, a re log, sacrificed chicken or two, possible deal with the devil and so forth, until the whole reset phase/quest thing works.
  11. Only the console requires a quest holder, other buttons can be pressed by non questers. But it seems the quest bugs at the 4 droids before last boss unless everyone does not have the quest, which stopped my group on it's tracks tonight.
  12. Sniper, and no, i'm not over 30 meters from the boss. I've never been knocked back as long as i've stood 20+ meters from him. Might be just luck, but i think the knockback is only in melee or close to melee range. edit- Another good way to do it, i've found, is to have everyone except healer and me die, and i'll tank the boss while healer keeps me up, works like a charm.
  13. I disagree, it's best to have the tank in the corner with the boss, and rest stay nearer to center/sides of the quadrant you are in, somewhat spread to avoid multiple shackles, and far enough form boss to avoid knockback. The knockback has area of effect where it happens, so just stay further away from boss and you won't get knocked back. And because tank never gets shackled (i think), aslong as tank does not loose agro, tank can escape safely and free any shackled people on the way out.
  14. Well that does explain why i'm always the only one who gets trapped in the last boss of Cademimu hardmode. Everyone else seems to have some way of escaping, from the shackles. That also makes covered Escape a rather poor escape ability. edit- is Entrench supposed to work against the first boss of Karagga's Palace knockback? cause it isn't doing anything for me.
  15. You do notice i was asking for them to make the quests HARDER, not easier, right? Also, i have a guild, i can find people to do the heroics with, and i do pug, i just don't think that the whole 'heroic' in the heroic quests should boil down to extra pair of hands to push a button. Also, why the **** should we not give Bioware feedback about the game?
  16. Ok, i understand that Bioware might want people to actually team up for heroic missions, make it easier to find groups and stuff. But is it really necessary to make the only thing in a heroic mission that actually needs another person to get it done a simple button press mechanic? We saw this in aurora cannon, then repeat on the Macrobinoculars heroics, found a version of it in False History stage 1 heroic (stacking dot, need to press 4 consoles to save yourself around a small room, died because dots stacked faster than Lokin could heal me), and, quite frankly, i find this method of making groups necessary to be rather cheap. Buff monsters, make fights more difficult, add wave mechanics, but don't just reduce the whole group effort into a simple button press.
  17. and the two 4 man heroics for macrobinoculars and seeker droids, and the new class missions (had 3 at one point, done now though)
  18. i'm trying to do the Alderaan dailies, but everytime i try to target the objects, i only get the mouse pointer on screen while still in macrobinocular mode, but i can't actually target the objects. tried relogging, tried relogging, problem persists.
  19. I used to make troll threads, but then i took an arrow to the knee.
  20. Well, atleast i am no longer a free kill to a half assed idiot.
  21. 4) snipers need a group to support them. (not 100% true, but solo snipers can be very vulnerable, moving ones even more so) Mind you, i suck at pvp, so anything i say should be taken with a mountain of salt.
  22. I started this game at launch as a Marksmanship Sniper, i continue to play this game as a Marksmanship Sniper.
  23. long, convoluted, and worst of all, suddenly turns into heroic 4 at the end. 4 man heroic, that could be done by 2, if not for the fact you need 4 people in 4 different places to press a button at the same time. the dailies are kinda fun, the main chain, not so much
  24. He gave you a mainhand kit? Dammit, all i got was enough credits to pay for fuel back home and a complaint about letting Jadus get away (saved countless civilians instead, to my eternal shame).
  25. Well here is my speck. I could drop Siege Bunker, it's pretty useless in almost every fight, ever, but don't really see any of the talents i could get being worth ~200dps i seem to be missing. Here's the parse of my last ops. adding orbital strike to my rotation might help a bit, if/when the fight stays in one place long enough to get more than 2 ticks in, which seems to happen, oh, about never. As for mods, i might gain more power, and reduce some crit from switching mods around, but as i've gone mostly to high cunning mods, it would be a minor gain at best. Having killed all the ops bosses on hardmode with my guild, i can't say i'm too worried about my dps. But having read people talking about 1,7k dps on their snipers, i can't help but feel that hovering at 1,4k to 1,5k is not doing all i could for my guild.
