  1. I would bet nearly anything that it's going to turn out that Vitiate is pulling all of the strings on this new faction. Pretty much this. I imagine that the writers are going to hold onto Vitiate until they know they're doing the very last piece of content for the game.
  2. He went to go take a nap so his massive foodbaby could go down.
  3. From Lana Beniko's character blurb: "The Sith Empire and Galactic Republic have fallen. The Jedi and Sith have retreated to their temples." I would be so happy if the opening cinematic for the expansion has your faction's fleet being obliterated, and you never have to go there again. Imagine completely new trade/market/mission hubs that you have to go to instead, located on Korriban (for Sith), Tython (for Jedi), and Nar Shaddaa for Bounty Hunters and Smugglers (because screw Hutta and Ord Mantel). I feel like Agents and Troopers would stay with their force-wielding contemporaries, but I'm not too picky on that point. I seriously would be so excited to be forced to operate out of Korriban again on my Sith; it would feel like there was actually a real crisis going on. I'm picturing what they did on the Assault on Korriban/Tython flashpoints, except on a planetary scale. Until you start the new expansion's story, you would have access to the vanilla planets; but upon starting the new story, those would be replaced with the new (blown up) versions. Anyone else think this would be cool? Also I'm only set on having my Sith/Jedi back at Korriban/Tython- where the non-force-wielders would go could be different. Heck, maybe even let them pick what planet/group they get to be with. EDIT: it seems this would also help solve the credit spammer problem (in part), since only subscribed players who have started the story would have access to the new areas.
  4. (PVE player only. I've killed bosses and stuff.) Agreed that not being able to build stacks on immune enemies is very annoying. I'll tab to the Targeting Droid under Unit 1 to build stacks if it's up. WTB full absorb shields on enemies instead of immunity. I sometimes find myself longing for the days of bugged energy in 2.x where we literally never had to Saber Strike; I realize this isn't exactly something I can fairly complain about. But my energy now feels more sustainable in AoE situations than it does in single target.. which seems odd. I personally like the Wither cooldown- if everything lined up too nicely it would just be boring Being reliant on taunts in the opener only bothers me on principle. I can live with it. Giving us some new offensive CD or buff would probably just be overkill- I wouldn't mind it, but I would mind having it lead to being nerfed in some other way later down the line that screws us over. Potency'd Cascading Debris on-the-move is also the BEST THING EVAR. My average DTPS on Sword Squadron literally went down by more than a hundred when we got mobile CD/DV. I constantly move in little circles in that fight now, which makes me feel like I get out of circles much faster. This was the one change I think the class really needed,,, especially in 3.0. Or I might just be bad. I think we're in a very good place overall. I'd be scared if they tried to mess with the spec at this point.
  5. Pretty simple- an indicator of how far away your focus target is from you (identical to the distance meter on your normal target bar) would be helpful with tank swaps in PvE and keeping better track of your healer in PvP, I'm sure there would be plenty of other uses too.
  6. There's a spot in the Bulo fight when minecarts go to the tank with aggro right after Scatter Blaster finishes. If I taunt during the few seconds after the cast finishes while I still have the debuff from Scatter Blaster to get the boss off my co-tank- so he can deal with the carts freely- Bulo usually won't react. Don't think I've had anything like that on Torque though.
  7. Just bought a few of these and had it happen.. didn't know about the bug until after consuming them and came here to make sure I wasn't going crazy.
  8. Excellent news. Thank you for letting us know.
  9. Rocket Boost and Wings of the Architect have the same problem. I got some guildies together and it turned out to only happen to certain body types.. but I'm not sure.
  10. I normally feel bad about the amount of flak the devs get after saying or doing anything at all, but this was just asking for it.
  11. Some people have to swing their camera up so that they're looking at the ceiling and stand about a meter away from the door to be able to click it on Esseles. The elevator at the beginning of Athiss requires slicing and is entirely optional. You can drop down onto the platforms attached to the back of the elevator.
  12. Double-Bladed Saber Tactics has the same icon as Deflection, so the new proc for Breach got that icon as well. I'm concerned I'm going to be wasting time looking at my buff bar, Deflection on my quickbar to make sure it's still off CD when I think it should be, and the shiny yellow proc outline on Breach to make sure I've got everything right in my head. Granted this only takes a couple glances, but it might get old after a while. I could also just get used to it after a while, I suppose. Either way, I think a new/different icon would be a small, nice QoL improvement. Thoughts?
  13. A mount of Blaster that says, "HERE COMES THE BOSS" when you get on it.
  14. It's in the Highlights at the very top of the patch notes. Third one down.
  15. Just read through the patch notes. Sounds like a pretty solid update- good work, devs! I'm especially looking forward to insta-mounting. I'm still a bit hesitant about Breach on CD (or close to it) on my Shadow tanks, but I'll probably get used to it; it'll make AoE threat a bit easier anyway.
  16. When there was a story I wanted to listen to, I'd simply get the character off their homeworld and get them to level 50 by other means. I mostly used flashpoints, but once or twice I did enough of the class story just to get the ship so I could do planetary chains. Once I got to level 50 that way, I'd go all the way back to Coruscant/DK and do the entire class story in one go.
  17. A throne(ish) mount without a hologram like the original throne mounts was introduced, how about a meditation hoverchair that doesn't have magic floating dice like the original ones have? kthxbai
  18. Yep. Darth Malgus does it when you reach him in The False Emperor flashpoint and it's the exact same thing. He's wearing a chest-piece with a hood up when you walk up, he does the animation moving his arms around his head, the camera switches angles, and then the game switches his chest to an identical one except with the hood down.
  19. I'll see your shoe and raise you a mailbox. Personally, I really just hope it's an 8-or-9 slot (for each visible piece) appearance tab, with each slot costing creds/cc to unlock. If they try to do anything more complicated than that- after failing/refusing to add a hood toggle or fix robes clipping through speeders- I fear it will be severely broken and take precious development time to get fully functional. For as long as people have been asking for it, I'd be happy if an appearance tab is all it ends up being. I'd augment and gear out 8 sets of the free pilot-themed legacy gear- one for each class- then buy an actual outfit for each of my toons.
  20. The best way to get to level 47 I've found is to: be a tank, queue for every normal flashpoint in your level range and accept every pop. In between pops, follow your class mission, follow every planetary story chain, and pick up absolutely no other missions while on any planet. Doing side quests got me too overleveled and made the process more mind-numbing. Tacticals slow down the process. My last three tanks took three fewer hours each to level to 47 than any of my DPS or heals- consistently- doing this method on my tanks and the 'standard' on my DPS. If you don't want to be a tank, doing the same tactical over and over between class/planetary chain/side missions is your best bet like everyone else suggests. --- No matter what you're playing, once you get to level 47 immediately go to your ship and start Makeb- just be sure to get bolstered when you start. After finishing Makeb, go back to your ship and pick up the Forged Alliances Prelude thingy. Then do Rishi and Yavin.
