  1. Everything should be given to us, because the content in which you can actually have a companion summoned at all is where the true challenge of the game lies.
  2. Things were slow and dull in other games in the past, therefore things in this game here and now should be slow and dull because that's just how it is. The fact that we don't have much new content is a perfect justification for the devs to make the content that we DO have to be monotonous and choppy. This set of solo content in particular needs to stay monotonous because people were NEVER EVER EVERRRRR able to solo H2s prior to 4.0. Also take for example solo mode flashpoints- there is such a risk there of dying and such a challenge that all other solo content should be modeled thus. For my grand finale, please consider the final fight of the solo content of Shadows of Revan. I won't spoil anything, but your involvement in that boss fight is crucial in the extreme throughout the entirety of the fight. If you leave for even three seconds, you will die.
  3. Would be a nice little feature if on the character select screen, I could see what percentage of the possible rested experience each of my characters (below level cap) have. If it would be intensive on the servers for whatever reason (or something of that nature), it wouldn't need to update in real time on the screen or anything- just have it refresh each time you go to the screen either from starting up the game or logging off a character. (I'm in the process of leveling 17 more alts, so this naturally came to mind )
  4. Hoth would be my first realistic choice. My first actual choice would be Korriban. Manaan would be cool too. I think I'm also the only person who absolutely hates Alderaan.
  5. As seen from the guy on page 5 of this thread, my OP didn't come from nowhere PvP and the race in the community for raid progression are the competitive activities here and in most other MMO's. It's like people are going to be shocked when we tell them that no one is maintaining a leaderboard for H2 completions.
  6. I don't know anything about that WoW reference so I don't know what type of content it was, but the content in SWTOR that is affected by this is the solo content grind. Next time you play chess, here's a new rule for you. When you are initially setting up the board, you have to stop and spin in a circle after putting each individual piece in its place. People have been soloing H2s for the entirety of the game. It was a smoother process prior to 4.0 than in 4.0.2. If solo content was supposed to be the end-all-be-all challenge in the game, the Revan fight at the end of SoR sure was an interesting design choice, as well as the entirety of combat in the entirety of the kofte story. PvP and operations are the challenging content in this game. The grind to get there is not.
  7. You would think. The one thing people from both sides of the argument will both say is that if BW is going to make changes, they should be done incrementally. For some reason that just doesn't happen.
  8. Pacing can drastically change how exciting/entertaining something is.
  9. It isn't difficult. It's tedious and time-consuming.
  10. The entire argument from those opposed to companion buffs after 4.0.2 simply comes down to shaming people who claim the game is "too hard" and should just suck it up- no matter what has actually been said. It doesn't matter that I had 22 level 60's just fifteen days after 3.0 dropped- I apparently don't know anything about leveling or dailies. It doesn't matter how many NiM Operation achievements I have- I am in favor of giving companions some of their power back, so no matter of anything else that has been said, I am apparently an entitled moody teenager who can't accomplish things in games.
  11. <3 Also, thanks to everyone! I didn't really expect this to be a 5-star thread, haha.
  12. Scavenging? EDIT: I realize now where my dumb was. I thought you meant you were trying to get the mats without having scavenging and only Cybertech. Now I get it.
  13. A response was all I ever hoped for. You make my dreams come true.
  14. If you are doing a daily or weekly mission, and you are having any semblance of a good time YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG AND YOU ARE NOT A DILIGENT PERSON AND YOU DO NOT DESERVE NICE THINGS. We all know that daily missions are a freaking matter of PRIDE. D*mn straight I just freed those 12 prisoners on Section X. You bet I just defeated and searched Lord Sundar on my 12th alt this week. Do you think I take these things lightly? THIS IS AN MMO WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE. I can't stand the thought of these entitled little brats asking for less dead time in which absolutely nothing happens in their freaking video games. Simply unbelievable. The time spent in your Pocket Sarlacc to make up for a paralyzed-from-the-neck-down healing companion used to be a sign of WORK ETHIC AND PERSEVERANCE. You people simply have no dignity. If you're doing dailies you should show some respect. I worked all day on killing those 5 Irradiated Rakghouls with you ungrateful little people coming up and ninja'ing them from me. But you know what, I held my head high and felt good that I was intentionally spending much more time than I could have on that mission, and my broken and lifeless companion was right there to remind me that all of my self-worth can be found right there on that giant pile of glitched dead rakghouls. Because I earned my little share of that pile. I didn't have FUN doing it, but I ACHIEVED IT. That's all that matters. There is nothing more difficult or challenging than daily missions and it is a hallowed rite to even be able to THINK ABOUT THEM, so why don't all of you people stop complaining about how hard the game is and let me get back to regenerating my health.
  15. We all know that tactical flashpoints are the measure by which all challenge is determined, anyway. It doesn't matter which one. As long as he says he did it, then by golly the entire argument is just over. We can all go home now.
  16. I think they should make it so that every time I post about it in the forums, I get +10 presence added to all my toons. That way, all I have do to is complain about it enough until I literally get exactly what I want. Having a bonus tied to your own gear is not a bad idea. You'd have to earn the bonus by getting good gear for yourself so it wouldn't just be handed out, and it'd increase incentive to grind knowing that it would get less grindy. +1 internets for you
  17. The walls of the stairs are good as my kinsman pointed out. You can also bring him up behind his throne at the big window and keep him around there- more walls to keep you in the same general area.
  18. I like that the thing you DON'T like is compared to the Porsche and the thing you DO like and want BACK is the Nissan.
  19. The funny thing is that the corpse glitch and the nerfed companions both make solo gameplay a stop-and-start trudging tedious bore. I actually think the OP wants the glitch to stay. I think it would be a good compromise. Give us back companions that can actually do something, but then just have the game lag between every single combat so we have to stop-and-start anyway. Now we're making some progress.
  20. Thanks! Updated. The ones with an instanced boss were kinda on the line for me, but I marked 'em.
  21. I couldn't find such a list so I just made it myself. Let me know if I made any mistakes. This intentionally only includes the Heroics you can pick up on the fleet terminal.
