  1. Haha. That would be the grindiest grind to have ever been grinded. But I think they might as well add solo options to all 1-59 stuff at this point, too.
  2. I've taken the opportunity to do the entire Ilum quest-line and finish Makeb on all my alts- just to have them out of my mission log.
  3. Tank gear in this tier is actually itemized better than pretty much any other gear from any tier. We have a wide range from high mitigation mods/enhancements from token gear (immunity and sturdiness enhancements were brought back) to high endurance from comm gear if you want to gear for TTK. Plus there is zero accuracy and zero alacrity in tank gear from both comm gear and token gear in this tier. AND we actually have multiple choices for token implants- one with absorb and one with defense- neither have a crap stat to go with it. So on this front, Bioware actually did very well in 3.0.
  4. One workaround is to have your character auto-run into the GTN while you shop. You won't go inactive, but you'll look a bit silly if you do it on fleet.
  5. I think what is meant is that we'll only need to augment one set of legacy gear per class, and we'll only need to rip mods once to put them into that legacy set. After that point, any changes to our appearance will only cost what we pay for the armor itself. Augmenting will still function and cost the same, we just won't need to do it anywhere near as often. At least that's how I would imagine it.
  6. I've leveled every class, and if there was an option not to be a DPS I took it. I have to say that for me, Scoundrel/Operative heals was the most difficult spec to level. Pre-3.0 Scoundrels were the most mobile of the three healers, and had some good supplementary off-DPS to make things go faster than just relying on your DPS companion to kill everything. In 3.0 this just isn't the case. Scoundrels no longer have Fly-by, and were made less mobile overall. However, leveling my Commando and Merc healers was very enjoyable. They have incredible (and controllable) burst heals when needed, and still have crazy off-DPS: Pulse Cannon, Mortar Volley, and let's certainly not forget Hail of Bolts. Heavy armor and lots of mobility are an enormous help while leveling as well. One of the biggest advantages for leveling that the Trooper has always had is that all of its companions use Aim, so gearing them is incredibly easy. You just give them your hand-me-downs and they'll be tearing through enemies.
  7. Has KBN been neglecting his daily dose of fiber?
  8. A lot of bonuses will get wiped when your quest goes inside/outside of a phase as well.
  9. How not to go crazy doing solo-mode flashpoints: 1. Have a (geared) DPS companion out 2. Run straight to the first boss without stopping at all. 3. Mop up any mobs that have managed to elude both your comp and the GSI droid along the way once you get there. 4. Kill boss. 5. Repeat. Exceptions: Korriban- kill the commanders at the beginning. Just pull all the groups and stop when you get to the boss- they'll mostly be dead when you get there anyway. Tython- Blow up the 4 generator things outside the temple and then go back and finishing killing everything. Kill everything in the temple before clicking the three generators near the end Manaan- Kill everything when you get to the two consoles you have to click on. Tip- pull the groups from both sides and kill them at the same time Rakata- Pulling everything where you have to click the 4 artifact thingies is actually one of the few things that can get your droid flat-out killed. Kill everything around the first 3, then resume the process. Blood Hunt- none Battle of Rishi- none Done them all 22 times, and this was the best strategy I came up with to make it not as terrible. Not very enlightening I suppose, but it got me through it This was easiest on my tanks because I could just stomp through everything between bosses. On my healers I just healed myself while running to each boss and sometimes my companion when he would catch back up. On my DPS I had to do more stopping to stay alive, but generally when I got low on health the GSI droid would stop what it was doing no matter how far away it was and pop up to my location and heal me. And obviously having stealth trumps everything. The GSI droid will get stealth too, so you can literally just go boss-to-boss if you're clever with your stealth CC's when you have to click stuff.
  10. I had 22 level 60's two weeks after the expansion dropped then again, I have no life.
  11. Without counting double/12x experience events, the fastest way I've found to level is to be a tank, follow your class chain and every planetary chain (but do not pick up any of the additional side quests), and queue for all of the normal flashpoints in your level range at all times- accepting every pop you get. I leveled one of my toons with tacticals and it drove me insane.
  12. yeah, it was only for Tython. by the time you move on to anything else, you'll be in a new phase/instance/whatever and it will have reset everything and it should work.
  13. I had this happen on one of my alts. I had several guildies kind enough to group with me, enter the tactical version manually, and complete the tactical version with me. This isn't ideal, but it's one way to get past it without waiting for support to try to reset a mission for you or something like that.
  14. I got to the point where I would hit level 60 just before the Battle of Rishi flashpoint every time.
  15. I leveled 11 alts from level 1-55 during 12XP- that gave me all 22 slots filled with a level 55 around November 20th.. or some time around there. thanks it makes it easy for people in my guild to figure out who all my alts are
  16. Would simply be nice to have this out of all my toons' mission logs. I finish my class story, and then Ilum just sits there. Given that it isn't directly tied to the current story and that there are now levels under the cap in which it will give 0 experience, I think we should be able to abandon it. Please make it like the Makeb story mission where we can choose to pick it up and choose to abandon it if it's in our mission log but not even started. Thanks.
  17. haha. that would be the first full level 60 account
  18. All 22 server slots filled with a level 60. I took three days off in the middle in which I did zero leveling, so I'm sure someone could have beaten me. I want my "Has No Life" legacy title. http://i.imgur.com/BCcxNWj.png
  19. This isn't something new that came out of no where. It should have been Dec 2. If they made this decision from SCRATCH between Dec 2 and today, I would be surprised. Actually, I take that back- I wouldn't be surprised after this.
  20. I've already got four level 60's fully trained. That's 2.4million credits for the level 60 training alone. This is just stupid.
  21. When I select "Fullscreen" or "Fullscreen (Windowed)," the game turns into a completely blank rectangle on the top left corner of my screen, and my monitor switches to a very low resolution.
  22. how dare they not be standing around in front of the servers at 5pm on a Sunday afternoon just waiting for something like this to happen
