  1. +1 There is no need to have ~120+ servers, when more than half aren't even hitting high cap. Start grouping them up and you'll see a BIG improvement in feedback from the community.
  2. This. It's faster to just respawn at med center, hop on your speeder, and go back.
  3. +1 Took a week away from the game..an I come back to this. le sigh Well, at least my 2 tickets were finally resolved after 9 days. Can't say the same for the other issues in the game.
  4. I agree wholeheartedly with the OP...but, there honestly isn't $15 a month worth of stuff to keep me interested atm.
  5. While I agree that peak times are fine, if you check out torstatus, that peak range is VERY small (for most servers in the US it's between 7pm and 10pm, not kidding), and the bump is from low/standard to high/very high. If they merged SOME servers you could easily be seeing high all throughout the day (also negating the need for LFD due to more people to group with)
  6. Sounds like Warhammer Online all over again. In fact, I do believe they had a "Founder" title as well to try and carrot people along. hmmmmm...
  7. Uhhh..before you talk **** about the testers, know this: they pretty much ignored the VAST majority of bugs submitted by us. Seriously. A lot of stuff you see right now was reported in beta...nothing was done about it. Only the WORST bugs were fixed (which I can agree with, priority and all), but to let the rest go into retail....meh, they could have delayed it a month and fixed most of them.
  8. That's why you ALWAYS make sure you have extra funds available/and or use a credit card (so you can chargeback) when you use recurring services. Seriously, learn your lesson guys. I've been burned SOOOOO many times by MMOs "accidentally" billing me or billing me extra. Timecards are the ONLY way to go.
  9. Doesn't matter tbh. The Republic quests are all care-bear bull**** compared to Empire. Seriously, go do the intro Republic quests, then go do the Empire ones. Tell me which has the most obvious work put into it. Of course its Empire.
  10. Because they actually put effort into the story/planets/armor/overall look-feel compared to Republic side. Those are facts. Not opinions. Facts. Also, the devs PERSONALLY stated many times before launch that Empire side was their fav/received the most effort; as well, many beta players (myself included), commented on how much better overall Empire side was. I actually wanted to play Republic when I first heard about the game...not so much after playing it.
  11. Yea, this IS NOT "founder", this is "subscriber". Sorry Bioware, but this REALLY illustrates to me where you are going with your product. You don't give a **** about your customers (easily seen by the PISS poor CS), don't care about the product (didn't fix a LOT of bugs I reported in beta), and now you don't care about those who were there to help you "start" the game. Now I'm not even going to buy a timecard for this ****ty game
  12. I wholeheartedly agree OP. It's simply a way for them to try and drum up subscrips at this point. This REALLY shows (to me at least), that they don't care about their original purchasers: all they want is money. If they actually GAVE a ****, they'd be giving it to EVERYONE who purchased the game (not just those who subscribed/carded for one month)
  13. I agree OP. I think the people who were expecting HARDCORE endgame raiding or expecting AWESOMESAUCE PvP are the ones who are MOST disappointed. I think the more casual crowd (those that might do an FP here and there, or only occasionally raid) are not worried about the game at all. I'm in the middle of the two, and I'll be taking a month or so break to see how things go. If I like what I'm seeing, I'll buy some timecards and play for a couple months. If not, well, I won't be posting here
  14. There's no doubt that was their intention. However, I think they could have handled it better. Perhaps by offering ALL companion customizations for FREE this way, and then having them at regular companion vendors for the usual 12500c.
  15. This is all well and true, however, the only (yes, ONLY) way to get customizations for Ashara is through the vendor on Illum Spaceport. Sure, it's not a BIG deal, but its an annoyance to many.
  16. It's every time you want to login to the game or website. Get's old VERY fast, but gives "pretty good" security.
  17. It works. I posted how to do it above. I wouldn't recommend running it as a security key on your PC for longterm usage (obviously it would be easy for a screencaping program to see what you are doing), but if all you want is just to get the customizations from it, go for it.
  18. OP: I felt the same way until I figured out a work around (well other than using the horrible Android app on my phone, which I subsequently removed ASAP): -Download BlueStacks: it will allow you to run Android apps on your PC -Go here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1404776 to download the SWTOR app APK (the base file that you would normally download off the App Store), 2nd post in that thread -Once BlueStacks is installed: 1) Right-click on the .apk file and click on "Open with..." 2) Click on "Browse..." 3) Navigate to "C:\Program Files\BlueStacks" or for 64-bit computers, "C:\Program Files (x86)\BlueStacks" 4) Double-click on "HD-ApkHandler.exe" 5) Click on "Ok" -Go into BlueStacks and you should see the SWTOR app, click it and follow the instructions for pairing the security key to your account. -Go ahead and get whatever customizations you want for your characters/misc stuff -After you've got whatever you want, call Bioware Support and ask to have the security key removed. They will take it off, and you will get to keep your free stuff.
  19. TBH, I wasn't planning on "subscribing", but instead buying timecards. However, the past week or two has been rife with bugs for me (not to mention POOR CS/no responses on tickets weeks old)...so I honestly am reconsidering even buying a timecard. I played the bejesus out of it during beta and I leveled some alts during release, so maybe its burnout, maybes its boredom, I don't know which, but I think I'm going to take a break from the game for a couple months. Hopefully in 2-3 months the PvP is "fixed" and some of the more major bugs are ironed out. If not, well there are plenty of other things to do with my time.
  20. Nope. TBH, I'm more interested in seeing how GW2/next Blizz project/Copernicus (Curt Schillings MMO) do. SWTOR had its day in the sun and they obviously made some mistakes. I'll no doubt stick around for a couple months, but atm the total lack of CS/bugs not fixed after being reported in beta/etc are all cause for concern.
  21. In it's current state (and after playing beta since launch), I kind of have to agree. I will say though, I did get my $60 out of it, that's for damn sure.
  22. It's pretty bad already, especially for Republic, so things will only get worse.
  23. I would only do it if I was at or above what is listed on the planet for the level range. If you 2+ beyond that level..then yes, just do your class quest and move on.
  24. Exactly. The community was bad to begin with (as are all other MMOs). These people proclaiming that LFD will "ruin" the community are so out of touch with reality. Spend 5 minutes in general chat on ANY planet and you'll want to gouge out your eyes.
  25. ? You're the one that feels the need to say stupid **** like "if you don't play my way, then you shouldn't play MMOs". Who's ignorant again? I'll ask once again: have you played in a warzone? If you say yes to that, then you are a hypocrite. Was I comparing the quality of PvP to something? No. But nice try at reading comprehension. I was replying to the OP's logic regarding the LFD tool, and his backwards logic that it breeds laziness. The PvP finder is NO DIFFERENT from a LFD. You push a button, you join a game, you might or might not see them again. Seriously, please, keep trying to tell yourself that you're some kind of paragon of gaming. This is fun.
