Just have different PVE planet instances for easy, medium, hard. The same as we have a different instance for OWPVP mode.

I think part of the problem is the thickness of some of the letters from the font they’ve chosen. Ie, when I look at I or 1, it seems like the top part of each one is faded a little. It makes it hard to see and strains the eyes. When I checked other letters, some were fine, but any with a straight axis like U were slightly faded at the top as well. I can see the letters or numbers better if it’s rounded at the top like C. But the beginning and the ending of the C (the opening part) also seems to be slightly faded. If I had to describe the new font, I would say it’s like different parts of the letters thickness is not uniformly the same. Some parts are thinner or thicker than others and some seem to fade out at the beginning and ending (as if you didn’t put a pen down hard enough on paper at the start of writing it and lifted it up to early at the end). The old font was thinker and more uniform in its thickness. So it was easier to look at and not cause eye strain. @JackieKo, hopefully you’re reading this as well to pass onto the devs.

Or you could just bring back mods and modded gear and let us define our own stats.

The simplest solution is already in the game. Make the prestige (love, gifts) from companion levels work properly again. The higher that prestige, the better the companions are supposed to work. But since 7.0, it doesn’t seem to matter if you use a companion at lvl 50 prestige or lvl 1. Both are nearly the same in performance. If you want a challenge, use a low prestige companion. If you want it easier or you’re trying to solo hard content, use a lvl50 companion. That is how it was pre 7.0 and I don’t understand the reason for the change and nerfing of companions who we paid to have lvl 50 prestige.

My partner and I are probably going to end up going through the same thing. Only she has 65 Alts and I have 36. Not looking forward to that.

The best pvp gearing system was from 3.7- 4.7. That was the pinnacle of pvp gearing in swtor. Everything before and after has been worse.

And the reset for Australian east coast is currently 10-11pm (depending on daylight saving). No time of day is going to be perfect for everyone when it’s a static server reset. It’s a shame the sever doesn’t use your local time to reset you depending on where you are. I play other games that use your systems local time to reset. Unfortunately swtor would probably break if they tried to do that. Getting rid of the new and totally uncalled for daily and weekly resets would be the simplest solution. No one I know wants these new resets and all it has done is make people quit the game.

That will only happen if more players leave and the only way to stop bleeding players is to humble themselves. We’ll have to wait and see what happens to player numbers over the next 5-8 weeks If 7.0.1 doesn’t stop the bleed, EA or BioWare upper management might make some leadership changes like they did when Ben Irving tried to kill the game with 5.0. If I remember correctly they did that around April / May last time.

Jackie reached out to me for more details on the Font problems. So that’s a good sign. I just wish someone had listened much earlier to people when this was brought up on the PTS last year (not blaming Jackie) or even a few weeks ago. Unfortunately my sub runs out in a few days and I won’t be resubbing until this is at least fixed. So I won’t be able to reply to anymore info requests from Jackie and I’m worried because not being able to post or reply to Jackie will mean it might never get addressed adequately for me to ever come back. Can I encourage anyone who is having font issues to post detailed descriptions here of the parts of the game where the font is a problem for you or contact Jackie directly. I’ve already sent mine to Jackie, but yours might be different to mine or I may have missed some because I had to stop looking because it was giving me a headache.

I logged in twice since 7.0 landed. The day it landed I got a headache from the new UI and Font but didn’t know that’s what caused it. I logged in the next day and the same thing happened. I’ve not been back since and I’ve unsubscribed. BioWare can check my total play time and login history to see I also played nearly every day since launch. Usually 30-50 hours a week. I slowed my playing leading into 7.0 because I didn’t agree with a bunch of game changes being made. And the 7.0 UI changes made the decision for me to stop playing. Even with Keith’s and Chris’s posts, they’ve still not acknowledged the FONT that’s giving me headaches. They’ve not acknowledged any of the game changes like removed modded gear or doubling the required conquest points or making the game unfriendly for people with more than 3 Alts (I have 36). I’ve unsubscribed and it runs out before the 7.0.1 patch. I won’t be coming back until those things are addressed. The 7.0 UI forced me to stop playing and the longer I don’t play, the easier it’s been to not care if I play anymore. It’s been like breaking up from an abusive relationship based on lies and misdirection. The fog is finally starting to clear and I can see this company’s Vision properly.

I’m still waiting on a fix to the FONT they changed. I can’t seem to get an answer from JackieKo, Keith or Chris. Why can’t one of them acknowledge that people with eye sight problems are having problems with this new FONT and explain why this change was made and will they be fixing it or not. Then we can decide if we will resubscribe.

Be really careful what you wish for. We’ve all seen how BioWares “random” works in the pvp queue where it gets stuck on one type of map. Currently the only thing that seems to be popping for people I talk to is Void Star or Hutt Ball and players are sick of it.

And Keith, What about the Font change to the UI and other parts of the game? This was one of the major complaints about it on the pts as well as 7.0 release. It’s great that you are looking at the other parts of the UI, but that’s not mine or some other peoples problem with it. The FONT change has literally made me stop playing because of the eye strain. Can we please get an acknowledgment that you guys are fixing this too. My sub runs out in a few days and I’ve already canceled it because I can’t play while it’s like this. It would be good to know if this is something you are going to fix in 7.0.1 or at all?

Yep, that’s all they needed to do to make the 6.0 gear system work. They were told as much for on the 6.0 PTS and for the 2 years until they got to 7.0. But instead of reducing the RNG by removing a heap of useless ****, they reinvented the wheel again.

Doesn’t look like player numbers are stabilising, not even after Keith’s Post. The 1, 2, 3, 6 month trend graphs show it’s still heading downward. The game will be lucky to have as many players by March 15 as we had in November last year. When will BioWare learn that doubling down on poor choices is the wrong way to stop players leaving.

More like, why does invite new players mean telling your loyal subscriber base to find another game to play or go jump in a lava pit of hell.

Yeah, that really is a ridiculous excuse and scenario. Where is their testing logic? They can just as easily login to live servers to test it the same as the rest of us. Logic would dictate that if it’s happening live and not on their private servers, then it’s obviously an issue on the live servers systems. So they need to test on live so they can eliminate the possible causes. That’s troubleshooting 101.

That’s no compromise at all. Many of us like to mod our own gear who don’t play raids. What about PVPers or people who like to solo the hardest group content? We also like to min/max our stats to get the best performance. Plus Raiders are already going to get access to this modded gear in 7.1. The rest of us aren’t. What Bioware need to do is bring that forward and not just give it to Raiders, ALL players should get access to modded gear. It doesn’t even need to be the highest iRated modded gear because pvp now has capped irating and unless you are in a lvl 80 area, all other gear is planet/area capped. So Raiders could still have access to the highest rated gear while still giving everyone access to slightly lower iRated modded gear. As well as doing this. Bioware really should remove secondary stats from the caps they’ve imposed. Alacrity, crit, accuracy, shield, defence and presence should never be capped. The only caps should be on power, mastery and endurance. That is the only fair system I can see the majority of players liking and accepting as fair. It may even bring back a bunch of players who’ve left the game over these changes. Or Bioware and Keith can keep doubling down on a system the majority hates and keep driving more people from the game and keeping other players from coming back. The ball is in Kieths court. He can keep being stubborn about all the stuff players are hating on. Or he can accept they went too far with many of these changes and March some of them back. It’s not like this is rocket science. Keep making your customers unhappy and they’ll continue to complain and leave the game and tell their friends the the whole of social media not to play the game. Or start listening to the actual players wants and needs and they will be happier and tell people they should play. It comes down to wether Keith wants this game to continue past the next 6 months or so.

I doubt many Steam players come to these forums in any numbers. There are way more posts on Steam than here because Steam doesn’t require a subscriber account to post. But there are steam players who are subscribers and they do pay for CC too.

And what if your class is a healer or you prefer to have your companions on Tank? From what you are saying anyone who has played the game that way for the last 10 years is royally screwed
