  1. Good post, I agree. There are many good posts in this thread. Why is it so hard for the SWTOR devs to stick to the Empire vs. Republic theme and lore? I was never interested in the second infinite empire. Turning the Sith Emperor into some kind of ghostly boogey man and having him die and return over again was just silly. Then he comes back and has a wife and a family with two twin sons and a daughter??! It is time to go back to SWTOR classic, Empire vs. Republic. Actual planets. Questing zones. Contested world PvP questing zones.
  2. Classic did not destroy WoW, it saved it. Bad retail expansions harmed wow.
  3. I have no doubt that BioWare has every build since 1.0. It could definitely be done.
  4. New content does not seem to be going very well. Why is Republic vs. Empire so hard for the devs to figure out and implement? All this time and only 3 or 4 hours of content to show for it?
  5. Nothing is etched in stone. Please make a suggestion. The devs can do whatever they want if enough people want them to do it.
  6. SWTOR Classic would be sufficient compensation for me.
  7. Additional expansions could be released after vanilla SWTOR over time. I do not want to play an expansion where SWTOR stopped being SWTOR classic including: Base Class/Advanced class Full Fledged Class Storyline with Companion Storylines The big Datacron Hunt! Crafting Appropriate to Current Level Leveling Zones with Storyline, Exploration, Quest Hubs and Local Instances and Faction Reputation Gain Mixed in End Game Dungeons with Operations Version-specific PvP instances and zones Vanilla or Expansion Specific Events (Rakghouls etc) I dont mind if the following generic systems are added on: Game engine and graphical enhancements Character model enhancements Cartel Market Interface Editor I dont have a problem with EA/Bioware making money off of SWTOR classic as long as they remain true to the spirit of the origonal game. Please feel free to add your own suggestions and I will add them below attributed to you.
  8. You make some good points. I do think that SWTOR was a good game and a game that is worth saving or resurrecting. If Legacy of the Sith is the best the devs can come up with in a new expansion, I would shudder to think of what a new game might look like.
  9. SWTOR Classic is needed now more than ever.
  10. Have we lost more than we have gained over the years?
  11. I agree, I enjoyed vanilla SWTOR PvP much more than the current PvP, at least the battle grounds. How about that the mess that has become the fleet or Carrack Station (forgot the Empire name). There is layer upon layer of content represented there. What a confusing mess!!
  12. I could only speculate. Some of the changes have been good like dual spec. However, others were not asked for and not wanted.
  13. I think that it is time to consider re-releasing SWTOR Classic and following expansions. I for one do not like most of the new interface changes and I do not like finishing the latest content in a matter of hours. I miss the depth and breadth of the original SWTOR story and leveling zones. along with the companion stories. I miss how the leveling zones and story were woven together and how it was possible to go back and forth between the story, leveling zones and the challenging instances or dungeons in each leveling zone. Other things that I miss about vanilla SWTOR are the role-based dungeons and other PvE content. What is wrong with needing Tank/Healer/DPS to complete certain dungeons? I think that a hybrid of the classic content with current game engine and system enhancements such as the interface customization, outfitter etc. would be great. I for one would play such a game and pay a sub that would cover classic and retail or live content. Edit: Additional expansions could be released after vanilla SWTOR over time. I do not want to play an expansion where SWTOR stopped being SWTOR classic including: Base Class/Advanced class Full Fledged Class Storyline with Companion Storylines The big Datacron Hunt! Crafting Appropriate to Current Level Leveling Zones with Storyline, Exploration, Quest Hubs and Local Instances and Faction Reputation Gain Mixed in End Game Dungeons with Operations Version-specific PvP instances and zones Vanilla or Expansion Specific Events (Rakghouls etc) I dont mind if the following generic systems are added on: Game engine and graphical enhancements Character model enhancements Cartel Market Interface Editor Group Finder Optional: Player housing Legacy I am personally not interested in repeating the Infinite Empire content (not the Rakata version, the Zakul version) I dont have a problem with EA/Bioware making money off of SWTOR classic as long as they remain true to the spirit of the origonal game. Please feel free to add your own suggestions and I will add them below attributed to you.
  14. I would be more worried about Star Citizen than ESO. ESO is a fantasy MMO, not a sci-fi futuristic mmo.
